The room was larger than I had expected and had a much better equipped kitchen than I had realised when booking. The apartment was comfortable and clean. It has a walk in closet and a big bathroom. The living space includes couches and a dining table and there is a large screen TV. Washing machines and dryers are freely available for guests to use. There is a nice swimming pool. It is only a short block to walk to the beach. The Beach Shack is a good restaurant within a few minutes walk. There's also a bar/club across the road.

The undercover parking spaces are quite tight, but once used to them they're fine. In the alternative there is room to park on the street. The hotel is close to the beach but fairly distant from the centre of Port Douglas (a bit of a 2 edged sword). The location is somewhat suburban, and while quiet overall there were typical suburban noises such as barking dogs and power tools being used nearby. In my room the internet connection was patchy but my friend had no problems in a different room. I ought to confirm in fairness that the manager was replacing the modem in the room I was in.

The manager was nice and even helped me up the stairs with my bag! The room suited what I needed but was a little outdated. I think they might have been progressively doing the rooms up. It had stove and fridge, with plates etc. Was fitted with ceiling fans which was fantastic as well as A/C. Nice shower always hot. Was great to come back to after a day of adventures. The property itself was nice and quiet with most guests out and about or quietly relaxing. Plenty of chatty birds around and nice small pool area with deck chairs to sit on if you wanted to.

Unfortunately microwave was in bottom cupboard not plugged in and looked about 10yo so was not willing to try it. The place where you wait out the front for shuttle buses is in the blazing hot sun with no cover all afternoon though there was wooden seat. Or you wait across the road, in the blazing sun, outside the local pub where everyone is enjoying a nice cool beer. Issues with internet.

The studio apartment was perfect. Clean, great access to the beach, close enough to town (easy five minute drive or 1 hour walk along beach), kitchen facilities more than adequate, good shower, comfy bed.

Unfort couldn’t get the TV channel showing Wimbledon (though this wouldn’t be a issue for others, I’m sure!), could have done with a few extra towels and shower wash (probs could have asked but didn’t) … maybe some washing facilities would have been handy.

Very well presented accomodation woth 4 mile Beach only 2 min walk away. Love the bright colours that complement the green lush garden. The apartment had everything in it you could need.Manager is friendly and makes you feel at home, which was important to me travelling as a solo woman. I felt extremely safe in this accomodation. This is my second visit, and i will definitely be coming back

I love the vibrance of the interior design, the quiet space, privacy and the possibility of enjoying a swim. The freedom to come and go and know that everything is safe. I was happy about the courteous response form the staff whenever he was around to clean the rooms. The pool was clean. Restaurants close by were excellent.

it would have been great to have a few more towels and a few more coffee pods for each day. The mattress is still good but needs replacing fairly soon. The internet was a bit patchy at times, but as soon as there were less people online it returned to normal.

Great location very close to the beach in a pleasant environment with a lovely pool. Easy access and nicely furnished with a small private balcony surrounded by tropical garden and birdsong. A very short walk to the Beach Shack open from breakfast to dinner.

We stayed for a week so we didn't want to eat out every meal. The tiny bar fridge and lack of kitchenware like bowls and storage containers was a nuisance. Not even an ice cube tray. The bed wasn't very comfortable either.

I had an excellent stay that I even extended with a 3rd night. For the price you get SO MUCH SPACE, feels like having a real place! Kichen utensils are all generously provided, even some coffee/tea/oil/basic spices and there is a great compendium proposing you activites and information about surrounding area. Towels and bathroom products are of high quality. The garden is super charming with many beautiful flowers that you can see are taken good care of, the pool is super nice too. There is a barbecue. Had only shortly contact with the owner, but seems to be a very kind person. The beach is 3 minutes walk awway, there is a nice and absolutely not disturbing pub across the road.

One cockroach ran inside from the terrace, so be aware to close the terrace door and dont leave food outside. But I guess its common sense in the tropical climate. If you dont have a car, its kindof long until downtown Port Douglas, but this region is anyway pretty much car-based.

Quiet location, near the beach. Smaller complex. Decent showers. Pool was heated, lovely swim and then just pull up a deck chair and relax under the palms. Lovely and helpful host. Booked in Feb for an August holiday, so got a good rate - value for money. We would definitely return.

Some of the fitting and fixtures a bit worn. Eg flyscreens with holes, lights that didn’t work.

The general layout and configuration of the property was good. The landscaping provided a good ambience. Proximity to pub and eating venue was good. Proximity to the beach was good.

The colour scheme was a bit of an assault on elderly eyes. Might be ok for younger folk. Car parking a little challenging. General appointments could be improved. The microwave on the bottom shelf of a cupboard is impractical.

We stayed in the luxury one bedroom apartment (205) and it was superb. It's spacious, nicely decorated and with nice views to the garden. There was a book with lots of information about things to do and information on restaurants. The kitchen is well equipped. It's located at a few hundred meters from the beach, a 2 minute walk. There is a good restaurant, the Beach Shack, around the corner and a bar. We enjoyed our stay very much.
