Coral Lodge provided a truly comfortable and enjoyable stay, combining simplicity with thoughtful convenience. The rooms were cozy and well-maintained, offering a relaxing retreat after a day of travel. The shared kitchen is spacious and well-equipped, while the parking facilities were easy and hassle-free, adding to the sense of ease throughout the stay. Overall, the experience was very pleasant and satisfying, making Coral Lodge a reliable and welcoming choice for travelers. I would confidently rate it 8.5 out of 10.

Nothing really that troubled us

A good gem hidden from the main town but good value for money. I love the rooms having your own shower and toilet also the shared kitchen is well equipped with utensils and shelves where you can label your stuff. Good bistro, plenty of outside sitting and eating area. I love the games area you can play snooker table tennis and other table game for kids also. And they got a mini cinema where you can watch Netflix etc .. Staff are very friendly and warm welcoming.. Sure to comeback again with whole family next time

Just the wiping of some areas inside the room. Bedside table, behind it needs more vacuuming. Lamp shade dusty Top of wardrobe dusty Some mould behind Bath/Toilet door. Room smelt like a damp mop not being rinsed and used again to mop floor gave an awful funky smell.

Pretty impressed about this accommodation. Got own PIN for door(do not worry about forgot a key). All facilities are cleaned (bed, toilet, room, pool and outdoor) and easy to park. Location is also great to look around port douglas. Additionally staff(owner) are friendly and helpful.

Looks many back packers stay and don't have any rules about noisy at night. Therefore, If you are sensative and sleep early, maybe consider again. While I stay, over 3am I can hear people's conversations from outside, couldn't sleep well..except this, my experience was great.

The place is very nice and well-maintained, with great facilities/amenities (the big kitchen and card-operated washers/dryers in particular).

The rooms closer to the pool can get a bit loud, so if you´re not good with noise pack some earplugs or ask for a room a bit further to the back. Individual lights in the dorms would be nice.

Clean, comfortable, large room with own bathroom, mini fridge, air con, and a TV with Netflix. Parking at the front of the room, with burger and fries style restaurant attatched. 10 min walk to beach and 20min into town. The hot water is freaking hot. You have been warned. Pin code doors means you don't need a key to take with you to the beach.

Well, it's mostly a backpackers accommodation, so it comes with a lot of late night noise. The restaurant has karaoke, and the singing resonates down to the accommodation till 9:30pm. Just turn up the TV and air con to drown out the noise. Minor issues - The rear flywire door lock was broken or broken into. TV remote covers were falling apart.

Nice place, walkable to the wharfs and stores and restaurants. The rooms on the back side have a private patio backing up on a mangrove. We did not take advantage of the pool, cafe or lounge area, but they seemed nice. The place was full of young people and they did take advantage of the common areas and so it was a bit loud at times, but was quiet by 10 pm the two nights we stayed there. It was not a problem for us.

It would be nice to have an electric water boiler and mugs to make tea or coffee.

For a hostel or motel there was a really high standard. They provided multiple towels, soap etc. Also the pool and the bar area was very nice. The staff wss friendly and the room clean. Also you have your sepearate balcony.

The interior was a bit old. This was the reason why the room does not look clean, eventhough it was cleaned very well (rusty lamps and damaged floor). Also I needed a code to enter the room because I arrived after reception hour. They only sent it to me after I called to remind them 10 minutes before the reception closed, eventhough I messaged them several times before that I liked to receive the code.

We arrived late - we were sent an email with contactless check in on/arrival - all worked well. Exceeded our expectations for the price we paid. Staff very friendly when we spoke with them in the morning and gave good suggestions for what to do in a day in Port Douglas.

Sat Nav takes you to the rear of the property. May be worth warning guests - didn’t take long to find reception (the darkness of our late arrival didn’t help).

Kevin and reception and Kylie were both so lovely. Was quiet which suited as I was working but also if you wanted to be social there were people to socialise with. Rooms were spacious and lots of storage for your belongings. Good for an extended stay in port Douglas.

Was a 15-20 minute walk from the Main Street. Otherwise great.

Hybrid backpack/ motel. Vibrant, in bush setting, walking distance to the heart of the city, about 1 k. Public shared space in front of room, private space in garden out the back of room. Lovely pool space- our stay wasn’t long enough so we will be back!

More power points would be fab, especially if their location was easier to access.
