Room 16 was a great location, slightly away from the pool and the balcony faced the quiet beach road. The pool was a lovely temperature and was great for swimming as well as for the kids to play in. The tennis court was a bonus. The location was fab, a short walk to town and direct access to the beach. The apartment was spacious, well set out and well provisioned with plenty of towels , pillows etc.

There were a couple of power cuts whillst we were there. There could have been clearer information where to put bins and recycling. It would have been nice to have salt and pepper and olive oil provided although they did provide tea and coffee making kits.

What a perfect holiday! We wanted something really special to mark the occasion and Mandalay was ideal. We cannot fault a thing. From the moment I enquired about booking - Ruby & Sam from Reception were exceptional with their correspondence, guidance and advice (and very patient with my questions :) They listened to what we were hoping for and recommended the most sensational three bedroom deluxe apartment that overlooked the pool area. After reading some reviews we weren’t sure what area of the resort would best suit what we were looking for but Ruby & Sam were spot on with their suggestions! It was absolutely perfect - a family holiday that will be treasured forever. Thank you.

Nothing - it was all fantastic!

I’d liked the location, 15 minute walk to habour, 10 minute walk to shopping strip, 5 minute walk to patrolled beach. Great value, excellent service and the room were spacious, very clean and inviting.

Didn’t like climbing 2 flights of stairs to get to our room but no big deal. Our room our room are overlooked the pool and it did get a little noisy during the day, but it was school holidays so I’m sure it would’ve been a problem otherwise.

We booked a 2 bedroom apartment as a family of 3 adults. We were actually given a 3 bed apartment which was quite large and comfortable with a large balcony leading off the lounge and a small one leading off the main bedroom. The basement parking is good, but due to no lift, it is taxing taking luggage up the stairs. The waterfront shopping and dining areas are about 10 minutes walk from the property. Its a great base in port Talbot for exploring the great Barrier Reef and Daintree rainforest.

No lift means te luggage has to be carried over many steps.

The quick access direct to the beach was very convenient. We were put in a room which also had a pool for community guests but was right out our back door, wonderful bbq facilities also. This area was very quiet so we felt we had this whole part to ourselves. Whilst we didn't play tennis, the facilities were superb with kitchen plenty of seating and even a shower. No tennis racquettes or notice where to get them but I assume reception is happy to provide. Very spacious apartment, just wonderful and whilst we didn't get time to use the outdoor seating, there was additional options that were just lovely. The main pool was excellent and loved the seating. A lovely 10 minute walk to the main street. Highly recommend this place.

Hard to pick any fault but If I need to point to something it would be that the shower head/pressure in the main was not very firm, given it was such a huge alcove. The pillows in the main could do with replacing as they were starting to get lumpy and limp but the bed itself and linen were superb. I would like to see Council provide specific 'recycling bins' at the property as all rubbish, including glass and cans etc go in one big bin. This resort advised they pay someone to 'split' the rubbish and the recyling which is great of them but this would be avoided if they had a seperate bin. We need to encourage recylcling as much as possible, 100%

We enjoyed the location of the property being so close to the beach and the main streets. The pool was great. Unfortunately the shade sail over the pool was still in place, which perhaps during the middle two seasons of the year, it could be taken down to benefit from the little bit of sun. The timing of when we stayed the weather was quite poor, so the limited sun would have been good to catch. It was relatively quiet, other guests were non intrusive.

Just as mentioned above about the shade sail over the pool during May. I would recommend removing it from May through to September, but clearly this may be a compliance issue. The air conditioning unit in our unit was fairly noisy and so we turned it off when going to sleep but would wake up during the night and have to turn it back on again. We stayed in unit 25 and it was well appointed and clean however the clothes rack was broken so drying clothes was tricky.

Great location. Staff were very friendly both over the phone and at the hotel. It was amazing to walk in later in the evening to find a note to say we’d been upgraded! A beautiful surprise after a big week at work. Great spot to walk straight out to the beach. Enjoyed every aspect of our stay. Everything was clean and even had board games in the cupboards for use.

No cutting boards in the unit and the microwave didn’t work. Wasn’t the end of the world but just to note for next time.

Mandalay was perfect for our stay in PD, 50 meters walk from the beach, 10 mins walk from the main town/restaurants and an amazing pool which the kids loved every day after our trips. Staff were amazingly helpful even after we had checked out and were back in Sydney and i realised i had left some important medication, no problem at all, in fast delivery the next day and received in SYD within 48 hours, if we go back to PD would def stay again, highly recommend 👍

We loved the balcony view! And the size/layout of the balcony and apartment. As I was travelling with my grandparents as well as my 3 month old baby, we needed accomodation where we could spend a lot of time there day and night and this apartment was perfect. Perfect distance to the main st - 15 minute walk or 5 min drive. Apartment was spacious and quiet and just lovely! Pool was great too.

The fans didn’t work unless on full which was a bit annoying and the cooktop seemed to short circuit and then itself off occasionally.

Location was fabulous, apartment was very spacious and comfortable. Loved that there were 2 pools to choose from, tennis court was great. We had a tiny leak in one of our bathroom sinks..I reported it and someone came up to fix it immediately.

The lighting in the living area was terrible…slightly ruined the experience of sitting in the lounge area at night..but that’s a very personal thing as I hate overhead lights.
