Excellent location.

We were disappointed with the room we were given. It was not like the one shown on the website video. Yes it was ground floor. Yes It had a timber deck although with a difficult pool access. Yes it was a one bedroom apartment. But was it what we saw on the website - NO! It was stuck at the end of the complex like an after thought looking onto to a brick wall & not open & looking out to the pool area. We thought it was a tired room in need of some renovation, particularly the bathroom.

Excellent location. Gorgeous pool area. Very very quiet . If you don’t have kids this is perfection ! You can get your own swim out deck but for the rooms that don’t have those there still isn’t any horrible ‘reserving ‘ of pool lounges. Forget about the Sheraton and all the other big hotels where people fight over sun lounges and it’s so noisy . Of course no swim up bar but you can just make up your own drinks (cheaper ) and have them out on your deck . Also no room service but the Main Street is literally on the corner with a great variety of restaurants and there’s also a Coles if you need extra things.

We had our own kitchenette . Easy walk to the supermarket and our daily coffee. Handy having a lift especially when arriving with our luggage. The garden and pool area was wonderful and very well maintained . The pool temperature was just right and very refreshing.

Perhaps the furniture in our apartment could be updated. The cooling system was very effective. Perhaps some wall signage of direction to our apartment would have been helpful when we initially arrived .

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Meridian. The location is perfect! One block away from 4 Mile beach and the Main Street where you find restaurants,cafes and shops- everything we needed for our relaxing stay. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment with swim out access to the beautiful lagoon pool. The room was very clean ,comfortable and spacious. The cooling was very pleasant with 2 aircons and 2 ceiling fans for comfort. If you’re looking for a quiet and peaceful stay as well as value for money we highly recommend the Meridian!

The location is great. just a short walk into the main drag for shopping, cafes and restaurants. We did not need to use the car except for day trips. We had a one bedroom apartment and it was well fitted out , including plates, cups , fridge etc. Having direct access to the pool from our apartment was amazing.

The outdoor lounge chair cushions are starting to get a bit thin. I could feel the bar from the frame through my back. There was also a dip in the mattress at my feet.

We liked the one bed apartment with pool view. The living area was very spacious although the bedroom and kitchen were smaller. A very comfy bed. We had a large balcony. We made use of the washer and dryer. The pool was big enough and I enjoyed a swim Location was great. Only a few minutes walk to restaurants and the underground parking very useful. Staff were friendly and helpful.

A slightly larger kitchen area and more space in the bedroom would have been useful but didn't spoil our stay.

The room was fantastic, we did not expect the room to be so nice and comfy plenty of space and a great balcony to the out side area of the hotel, it was great for the time we spent in Port Douglas. very close to all facilities and the girl on the desk was very informative, The pool area needed some upgrading but was great to cool down. I will book this place again as it exceeded our expectations.

Suggest if it is advertised as a heated pool then it should be heated. Or put the dates in when it is heated.Did get some conflicting information on payment One email said i only pay One day as deposit the other email asked for the full 6 day payment. also received double emails on all communication.

The apartment was spacious, great lounge/tv area, with all the facilities we needed. The clean midway through was quite thorough. Huge pool and more than enough space for everyone to enjoy. Lots of brochures available at reception. Only a couple of minutes to walk to Macrossan St, so location is excellent! We loved it here.

Carpark spaces are a bit narrow, and some spaces are not as well lit as others. The bed was two singles pushed together, so had a hard divide down the middle.

..once again it was terrific to have another 'return visit' to the Meridian ..we particularly loved the quiet/ relaxed/ personal / family feel ..location is excellent ..we really enjoyed the lux of a swim-out studio apartment

..reaaly there is not much to not like except to say that the complex / apartments in general are looking just a little 'tired' ..in need of a refeshing shoosh all round, ie: bathroom/ kitchen benches & tiling, upgrade pool lounges & refresh paint job in pool

This place was great, relaxing as theres no children allowed. The pool area is great and its not too far to walk to the main group of pubs and shops. Friendly staff and the rooms are a good size.

Although i understand Covid 19 has caused massive disruptions/changes to how things are done i think to ask guests to change sheets, towels etc for their room is a bit cheeky. We had a large group of friends join us in port douglas and we all stayed in different locations and after enquiring with our friends they all stated their rooms were being cleaned as per normal by a staff member of the hotel where they were staying. I just think for the higher end prices we paid that it should be something thats included.
