The location is ideal to walk to all locations around the Port Douglas tourist region, whilst being private and quiet. The apartments are comfortable in size, with a handy sized kitchen, comfy lounge, a large glass meals table, and chairs, and adequate chairs and table on the balcony. It was a bonus having a spa bath with a large waterfall shower head in the bathroom . The guest laundry, including commercial sized washers and dryer, was very handy. The 'onsite' pool and leafy surrounds were absolutely stunning. The on-site staff were really friendly and helpful and can book any 'tours' and transfers that are required. Their communication was excellent, especially as the premises were undergoing external painting ( at short notice) whilst we were staying. An excellent independently owned 'cafe' is adjacent to the units ( offering 10% discount to 'residents'), which was a huge bonus.

Whilst the room was comfortable, it needs a bit of TLC! Dust on bedside tables and lamps and we were given a list of ‘what to do’s’ before we left or incur charges, including “excessive cleaning”!! What is that?? Basically do the clean- up for them!! eg: take the rubbish out, wash up and put away etc! Washing up we would always do, but taking the rubbish out??? Never had to do that before!! We were in a room directly above a cafe (not related to Le Cher du Monde) which was a little under-whelming considering we booked in January and there didn’t seem to be very many other guests there! The room had tea and coffee for 3 cups each but we were there for 5 nights. No change of towels or room service of any kind!?! There is no lift - which they did point out but only AFTER we had booked!!

The heart of Port Douglas! ♥️ This is an amazing property, tucked away in the main street that feels like you're a million miles away. Everything was excellent! The location, the carpark, the room, the amazing king sized bed-like a cloud! The pool area, sun loungers and landscaping has the feeling of a tropical island. The room facilities and cleanliness was outstanding, we are particular people and everything was spotless, in good condition and well maintained. Icy cold air conditioning and excellent fridge/freezer made self catering a breeze- with Coles literally down the street. Spa tub and soft lamps made a relaxing experience. The owner was very friendly and helpful, providing a handy map and pointing out some local only areas of interest. This is a gem and credit to its owners and managers.

Clean, comfortable and great location. Good value for the town. Parked the car and didn't need it whilst there. We bumped into other guests here and there but it was like we were the only ones there. On arrival the check in was pleasant and efficient - same with check out. We had an issue with a dripping aircon but were immediately accommodated into another room next door. Great service. The kitchenette had a sensor which turned on both light and exhaust fan. This was a bit noisy and we forgot to turn on another light one night and when it auto shutdown, we thought we had a power outage. Lesson learnt. Would definitely go back but next time ask for a pool or garden view room as it was bin day and the truck noise I could do without.

Great location, very clean room, comfortable bed, large refrigerator, quiet relaxing pool area, no kids

Very old first generation smart TV, really need to update as has very few smart channels, could not even get the streaming channels for 7, 9 or 10, could not log into the streaming channels we have subscriptions for. Get 2 toilet rolls then expect to pay $1 per roll for the amount of money we paid is very petty

Ideal quiet location to explore Port Douglas. Good-sized room and well-equipped for self-catering with a Cole’s supermarket in easy walking distance. Variety of restaurants nearby for dining out. Comfy bed, nice hot shower and safe parking available for guests. Nice to have pool on site for relaxing or 4-mile-beach within easy walking distance if a sandy beach preferred with safe, netted swimming area.

No negative comments. Would have been nice to have a coffee cafetière in the apartment but there was a great coffee shop directly below the apartment.

We arrived after reception hours but getting our room was straightforward, and we had a lovely welcome letter with useful info waiting for us. Worth knowing that parking is accessed by the road to the side. The room itself was really nicely furnished, it had all the things you need to self cater too. The balcony was nice for relaxing on, and the bed was very comfy. There is also a laundry room onsite with both washers and dryers. The property was really peaceful, which was nice and ideally located right in the heart of the town. And even better is just a few steps away is a really good Italian ice cream place which we highly recommend visiting once or twice... a day.

It was central easy to go to things in the heat of Town.Have good food around the area . They are doing a lot of painting, which was a little hard to get suitcases down stairs. But the manager helped us with suitcases.

Quite place of a night . Only adults stay there .(which that was great news) There should be more places to cater to needs like this .

Le Cher Du Monde was in the best location in town. We were able to walk to the beach and walk out to dinner every night. We were also just 50 metres from the best coffee shop in town Origin Expresso. We stayed 4 weeks and really enjoyed our stay. The hosts were very helpful and friendly.

Everything was great and nothing not to like about the property.

The reception was friendly and welcoming. They stored our bags as too early to get into the room, but made every effort to ensure we were comfortable until it was ready. They got the room ready earlier than expected for us. The rooms were well appointed with great facilities.

A little low on the drawers and hanging space. Could do with a couple of hooks in the hall way for hats, jackets etc and maybe a little more shelving in the bathroom for toiletries.
