It's an older building, ya get what ya get. Everything was great. Even trivial things would be offset with the level of customer service received here. Pool was nice, place felt safe, beds were soft. Bathroom small, but who cares. There wasn't a single thing that was requested that wasn't received. Down to a hair tie request being fulfilled. Definitely would stay again. It pains me to leave this review m, may make it harder for me to find a room...🙃

Really beautiful renovations! Really cute and minimal beachy decor. The single queen room was small but just what we needed, very cozy. Generally everything was very clean. I loved that the management was mostly hands-off and I received my door # and door code before arrival so it was a very smooth check-in. The TV is a smart fire TV and also has cable. It felt very private and the noise proofing was good. While looking through other listings on the island, they're very dated and dirty looking OR way too overpriced. We were allowed to use the outdoor shower and park there for the rest of the day following checkout. I really will be coming back when I need a place to stay on Tybee.

The bed was very lumpy on one side. Please get one that is firmer to provide durability. For a place that has cleanings between each person, you would expect the flower floor's tiles/grout to be cleaner but it needs a little more time and extra elbow grease because that was the only dirty part of the room. Besides, that the curtains need to be washed, and should be washed at least twice a month because of so many people filtering in and out. It seemed like they had never been washed and when you're laying on the bed it's very obvious. We still enjoyed this listing very much and this did not affect our enjoyment of the management and cozy room that did its purpose. Thank you guys so so much for being so accommodating.

Location. Also the people in the office were fabulous and gave us everything we needed.

The floors were dirty. My feet were black. I got a rag from housecleaning and wiped the floor with it but it wasn’t enough. It needed a swiffer. We did ask for a broom also just so we could sweep up the sand that we brought in, but the floors needed cleaning badly. The rest of the room was spotless.

Location is great! Short walk to beach, room was clean! Staff was very nice! Pool is clean they even provide pool noodles and floats! Love the retro style of rooms and appliances

Parking spot aren’t good for truck or suv, ac window unit was in bedroom only a fan in main room so where the couch and living room area is it’s a little warm but Tolerable , bedroom was nice a cold! I’d stay there again!

It was an inexpensive stay in a clean comfortable room without out all the fluff but everything needed to be comfortable. I also love that they have left some old the old features in the rooms and added the retro fridge and accessories. All in all was a great and comfortable two day getaway without breaking without breaking the bank. Will be back.

Pool water was hazy.

Very cute vintage place, like walking back in time. The decor was super fun, but just be prepared to remember the original version is what you have. The location was premiere for the beach! As long as you plan to just sleep here, or take advantage of the quaint pool, the rooms are designed for sleeping and showering. Friendly staff and atmosphere.

The beds were a little too soft for our liking. The mattress cover was probably clean, but we weren't confident with the dinginess and stains. Because of the age, they need to do more scouring and maintenance.

It was clean, comfortable and close to everything! Loved the retro look inside. The ground floor rooms make for easy access. Would definitely come again.

Nothing. Could have used two more wash rags since we booked for four people and only got two but that was it. I’m sure we could have went to office and got more. We just didn’t get back until late.

We have traveled to Tybee for the Beach Bum parade for the years but this is our first time staying at Royal Palms. The location was perfect and the pool was fabulous. The room was very cute and well decorated. Loved having a microwave, coffee maker, and fridge

The lady who checked us in was wonderful! Cheery and very accommodating. We were close to the ocean and she showed us a short cut. The furnishings and appliances remind you of the old motels, which isn't a bad thing. The pool was really nice.

Bathroom sink was very small and the faucet was too large for the sink. Water pressure in the shower was lower than we liked.

We really enjoyed our stay! The room was small but had everything we needed. The bed was comfy, everything was clean, and we loved the retro style. Despite having neighbors around, it was nice and quiet. The beach was close by, and there’s a great brunch spot within walking distance—perfect for a slow morning.
