Beautiful view from the breakfast room. It was absolutely charming in the shared downstairs rooms.

Our particular room # 17 was too small with only one chair and no room to open up our luggage. I would definitely opt for a larger double room. You needed to pay 1 euro for every towel you wanted changed out ( and we there four days). Also it was 3 euros per serving if you wanted eggs. Otherwise it was a lovely breakfast . There are many steps from the parking area to the hotel and then two flights of stairs up to our room.

This is a friendly and comfortable hotel with pleasing terraces overlooking Mittenwald and unobstructed mountain views. The view from my comfortable room was spectacular. There is parking directly at the hotel and a walking path down into the town. The beautiful Lautersee is up the road and it is possible to do a circular walking tour encompassing the wonderful Lainbach waterfalls that spill out of that lake as well as numerous other walking and biking routes in the area.

Just a word of caution...this is a comfortable and cosy hotel, a great choice for Mittenwald, but be aware that guests need to be able to walk the 50 steps up and down between the parking and the hotel and the zigzag walking path down to the town takes some huffing and puffing. Guests with ebikes can take a route beginning slightly down the road through the park into the town, or use the paved road.

The location and view were glorious. The room was large and well appointed. It even had a balcony where we could smoke. Excellent! The breakfast was very good.

I knew this hotel did not have lifts/elevators, but the parking area (which was VERY limited) was about 75 steps ABOVE the hotel entrance, then our room was two fights of stairs up, and the stairs themselves were sketchy. If I'd known this, I would have selected another hotel, to be honest.

Great hotel! The hotel is located on a hill, which makes the view from it simply incredible. Inside, an interesting interior creates a feeling of being a guest. The service is pleasant, the breakfast is quite sufficient, the coffee is very tasty. Right behind the hotel is a road to picturesque lakes. The room was clean and equipped. Excellent sauna and massage option.

Good breakfast. Amazing view from terrace just off our comfort double room. Great proximity to hiking and biking and also great proximity to the town for dinner and strolls. Reasonably-priced mini bar in lobby for after hour refreshments.

Spacious, clean room but smelled faintly of smoke. We actually wanted a place off the beaten path, but location may not be suitable for someone who can’t do stairs (lots of stairs) in the hotel itself and getting to the town, who doesn’t speak German, or who doesn’t have a car. Limited hours for lobby office opening, but manager is very responsive via email with questions. Don’t stay here if you are wanting a full-service hotel.

Had an excellent stay. slightly uphill, so got very nice view of the town from the room and from the lawn. Stephanie was always very helpful. Though check in is from 3 PM, I reached at 12 pm and was allowed to check in. The stairs leading to the hotel from downhill are well lit, so no problem at night.

Stunning views from breakfast room / outside, peaceful location overlooking town & mountains, lovely breakfast. Easy parking.

Access was awkward - both from carpark down to reception and then up to room. Not recommended for those with mobility issues.

The hotel went above and beyond to make you feel comfortable

Not a negative persee, the bed was fine and I slept well. But if any improvement could be made for me it would be the pillow options as the pillow was not really supportive and the other pillows small and (only) decorative. I could have used two additional pillows to get it just perfect for me.

Good location overlooking Mittenwald and right on the trails to the two lakes above. But also a little outside of the city center. Breakfast was surprisingly good.

Location was a little far off for those that would prefer more restaurant options etc.

The view from my window was incredibly beautiful - I’m not sure that’s true for all of the units though. It was clean and breakfast was pretty good

Given it’s a bit of a schlep from the center of town and right by paths into nature, they should have bikes available- would cost them hardly anything and be a real convenience to guests.
