Location! Couldn’t be any closer to the water! Special view out to the bay and over to historic Fort Knox. Our room had charm. Across the street to a wonderful bookshop and other shops and eating places.

The housekeeping started way before check out time running a vacuum on a Sunday morning! Beds are poor although linens are very nice.

Amazingly unexpected lake views, including bridge, fort, many boats. Very clean room. Two brand new blue sofa couchs next to a large table for enjoying the view and eat a bit. Proximity to Acadia national park and Bar harbor (less than 50 minutes through very nice rural maine places) but much better price/quality ration than if right there. Very nice receptionist willing to wait a bit more than regular check in time at night (if you call ahead). Great coffee. Confortable beds.

Everything close to perfect. Only problem was fridge door not closing well.

My family has been going to Maine for years, but this is the first time we stopped at Bucksport. The room we got had no waterfront views, but we could easily walk to the waterfront path. The beds were comfortable.

There was no free breakfast, but there are good restaurants within walking distance. There were no hooks or bars to hang towels, so we used the hangers in the wardrobe.

The water view was amazing! The hotel was very nice. The view was fabulous! The staff were lovely. The view was incredible! Nice, casual restaurant across the street and Icecream down the block. Did I mention the million dollar view? We will stay here again and have told all our friends about it.

This hotel is darling, very very clean, comfy bed, really good shower pressure! The view is spectacular with a large picture window looking out to the river, fort and bridge. There is a yummy Thai eatery close by too.

Cute room, river view, comfy beds, and the staff were so warm and welcoming to our children. Terrific dinner restaurant right across the street. Couldn't ask for a better location downtown.

The lobby and hallway were a little grim and dim. The place could use some updating and brightening up. Our room was super cute though.

Room was very clean, shower pressure was great, location was terrific and had a beautiful view of the bridge (lit up at night) and Fort Knox.

Beds were OK but mattresses a little soft and would have been nicer if they were queens instead of full size. Wifi would have also been a plus.

Nice clean room with an exceptional riverfront view. Beds were very comfortable. In-town location was walkable to restaurants.

Various aspects of the hotel (ceilings, bathroom fixtures, smallish flatscreen TV) felt somewhat dated.

Fantastic view of the Penobscot Narrows Bridge if your room is on the water side. The bridge is lit up at night.

The shower water can get really hot. Wait about 15-30 seconds to make sure the temperature is stabilized.

The scenery was beautiful over looking the bay. Very peaceful.

They don’t have early check in and The coffee is terrible. I think they need to buy a different brand.
