Nearness to the metro station Staff was really nice Luggage room outside of the check-in/out hours

Bathroom was really dirty; the dirt in the sink and the toilet wasn't stains, we could get it out with some wet tissues and soap. And you might wonder why we did the cleaning, it's because when we told the reception that our room was dirty and we needed cleaning they told us it was ''not possible''. Why am I paying when I am the one who is cleaning? And the blanket had white stains on it god knows what was that so we didn't touch it. Also the room walls are so thin that you can wake up at any hour at night with your neighbor's noises.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. For the price, I was expecting a bit of a kip to be honest but it was more than fine for what we needed it for. The bed was comfy, location good. Lovely staff and felt safe here. We saved a lot by booking here so got to see more of Paris because of that. Overall happy with our stay and would recommend to solo travellers and friends. Families, not so much.

No cleaner or fresh towels for the three days we were there. I guess we could have asked at reception but it would have been nice to see that the cleaners had been in Shower was in the bedroom which was a small bit awkward for my friend and I. Not much privacy but we got used of it haha

Great location near a metro station. Many places to eat and mini markets in the surrounding area. A storage room is available for the guests to leave their bags. Microwave, electric kettle and fridge available in the room. For a hairdryer you need to ask at the reception. WiFi worked fine. The room was as shown in pictures, small but clean. If you plan to spend most of the day outside and just come back there to sleep it's perfectly fine. Recommended for a short stay. Staff was always ready to answer questions.

Thin walls. Lack of utensils (surprising given that there is a microwave and a kettle in the room) - how is one supposed to heat something up without a plate available in the room? or make coffee/tea without a cup? The room didn't have any wardrobe or shelves for clothes. It could benefit by having at least some hooks on the wall to hang coats/jackets and perhaps some clothes racks.

We had some concerns before our arrival because the hotel did not respond to our messages on Booking.com. I was worried whether we would be able to check in at a time that differed from the official check-in hours listed in the description. However, I contacted Booking.com support, and they quickly reached out to the hotel owner. He assured us that he would wait for us free of charge in the middle of the night, as our flight was delayed. Unfortunately, our flight was eventually rescheduled, and we could only arrive the next day. Since we had a non-refundable booking, we did not receive a refund for the first missed night, but we didn’t expect one, as these were the terms of our reservation. The room was small, which is quite normal for Paris, especially considering the budget-friendly price of €56 per night. I have no complaints about that. The room was equipped with a working kettle, microwave, and fridge, but there was no dishware at all. We asked the man at reception for cups, and he gave us two plastic cups of very poor quality, which were only suitable for drinking water, not tea. Upon check-out, I asked the hotel owner for a spoon, and it turned out that disposable tableware was available at the reception, but we had to ask for it specifically. I believe it would have been helpful if we were informed about it earlier. On the positive side, the Wi-Fi in the room was excellent, which we greatly appreciated

I liked that we were given the opportunity to choose the floor to stay. we were very pleased to have a shower and toilet in the room 26, as well as a microwave, fridge and kettle. we didn't expect the room to have all these amenities.

It's a shame that there was a lot of mold in the shower. also the drain in the sink was clogged, making it difficult for water to flow through. and when we first checked in, the room was a little dusty. There were also not enough hooks for clothes and towels in the room. I really hope that these shortcomings will be corrected, because we would like to continue to stay at this hotel and will recommend it to others

hotel cleaning staff,need to examine things like our bathroom mirror(when steamed up-there was picture of love hearts around with a picture of a penis and testicles with words(i love c#ck)written in the steam of the mirror which can only be written once steamed up-totally rude,disrespectful and disgusting,me and my wife did not write-should anyone try to blame us during our stay there

room needed a tv for night-time tv for people on low-budgets who really couldn't afford to go out for too long-along with cup's-plates,cutlery and a kettle would be very handy

The room was great. We had a private bathroom which was clean and comfortable, as was everything else. Zero complaints, and the staff was very nice as well. The neighborhood is amazing, very close to practically everything in the city if you take the bus and the metro. Sure, the hotel itself may be a bit old, but if you're looking for value for money, this is your place. It's definitely worth it - don't expect a 5 star hotel, but this is a clean place where you'll be comfortable and close to the city center. :)

The hotel is a bit dated and it would have been nice to get some hygiene products in the room, but this personally isn't such a big deal for me. Note the hotel has no elevator and it has 5 floors.

Staff were very nice, location was amazing, we got a free room upgrade (shower and toilet were in the room instead of in the hallway) and everything looked really clean.

The whole place was a little old, especially the stairways had seen better days, to put it mildly. Although we were very thankful and happy about the room upgrade, the toilet was in a tiny chamber and you can’t close the door while using it. If i had payed for it, I wouldn’t have been satisfied.

Very clean, room was quite simple but had everything I needed. Felt super confortable, staff was friendly and accomodating. Location was perfect for me, I could reach everything I needed on foot. Hotel is located in a quiet street, not scetchy or anything and I personally felt totally safe as a woman, just thought I'd add it in case its important to anyone.

Very clean and heated room. Good bedding. I booked a room with a private bathroom and it was great, very clean and the shower was of good quality. The location is the best part, considering the amount we paid, as the metro station was just 3 minutes away, so it made our trip a lot easier. I was apprehensive about booking given the series of negative reviews here, but I was surprised, the room was really good. For those who criticize shared bathrooms, I suggest you pay for the room with a private bathroom, that way you won't have any stress. I recommend this hotel for those just looking for a place to sleep, it doesn't have luxuries, but it provided exactly what we needed. Thank you Hotel Richard, you made our stay in Paris perfect!

The bathroom shower door was practically entirely made of glass, not giving much privacy for taking a shower. We suggest closing it completely.
