Pleasant spacious clean and tidy room in a historical building, centrally located and in a lively area. The double glazed windows filter out most of the noise from the traffic and people. The person welcoming me was friendly, polite, and helpful. He also replied quickly when I contacted him later via WhatsApp because of a little problem in the breakfast bar, which he sorted out right away.

The bathroom is nicely designed but not very practical. The shower is very narrow, and a slightly unpleasant smell came from the drain. But this wasn't a big problem, and I'm only mentioning it because I paid an extraordinarily high price. Also, it would be nice to be able to put a 'Do not disturb' sign at the door when one doesn't want the room to be cleaned and tidied every day.

The kitchen was available to use, and we were able to buy food, and we were able to get food at grocery just down the street to bake and had hot tea. The bed was the most comfortable one we had in 3 weeks of travel.

It was good that coffee etc was left in kitchen for use as we had to leave early for a train but otherwise they offered a voucher for use at local cafe .

The decor is really garish. Purple walls and black toilet.

It was located in the general historic district and near the train station.

Parma isn’t as much of a tourist destination. After we booked the room, we discovered any interesting tours were already sold out. That’s not the host’s problem, just a disappointment. Parking is a problem. Added expense. The “breakfast” in bed and breakfast left much to be desired. Mostly packaged sweets and some fruit. The host was nice but busy with his other interests and slow to respond via text. Ran out of bottled water and coffee supplies.

The decoration is too bright and random. Not calming.

Not great neighborhood. No dedicated parking. Street parking was difficult to find. Had to arrange to meet to receive hard key. Communication was not great.
