A nice hotel in an absolute prime location in Charleston downtown. The rooms are nicely decorated. My bathroom had a spacious walk in shower. The hotel offers a complementary continental breakfast. The selection is limited, but sufficient and of very good quality.

Parking in general in Charleston downtown is a costly exercise. The hotel offers valet parking in its own small parking garage for $45 / $55 depending on the size of your car. It’s still a little bit more expensive than public parking in nearby public parking garage. But even if these parking garage is offer that the maximum daily tariff is $24, you must be aware that a day ends and starts at midnight and the hourly rate is $3. That means, if you park your car more than eight hours before midnight and take it out more than eight hours after midnight parking, your parking fee is $48.

We really appreciated the thought put into the hotel’s overall design and appearance. Everything from the rooms themselves, to the lobby, to the graphics used on signage and print. A very well designed hotel. Clean facilities throughout. The daily breakfast was great. A step above typical hotel breakfasts. Small but a good amount of variety at the same time. The steamer provided in the room was really helpful after pulling clothes out of our suitcases. Comfy bed and pillows make all the difference. Adequate plugs on the bed wall and loved the little lights at the bottom of the bed that were motion activated. Liked the water and tea always on hand in the lobby. Bar was great and espresso martinis lived up to the hype.

Very very small things - the robe and slippers were tiny for me. I’m a 6’1” 200 lb guy. The shower head was really cool but some of the features didn’t fully work. The shower door also had a gap in the seal so it leaked onto the floor of the bathroom pretty heavily. The first night or two it was actually a little cold in Charleston, a blanket in the room for the bed would have been nice so we didn’t have to crank up the heater. Wish the valet wasn’t so expensive.

Everything about this hotel was spectacular - from the service, the room, the bed, the bar, and everything in between. We loved it so much that we even extended our stay a night!! This hotel pays attention to detail - every morning we would have a chocolate treat and the weather forecast for the day laid out for us - this was so so thoughtful and made our trip even more special. Could not have asked for a better location - walking distance to everything and a lot of great restaurants right next door! Comfy, clean, and cute (and more!) Would stay here again 100%.

The breakfast is nothing too special. Some staff were more helpful than others - but overall everyone was outstanding.

Breakfast was adequate as I was just eating protein. I had a hard boiled egg and yogurt w/ berries. If you are a big breakfast kind of person, you may want to eat elsewhere. They did have some nice pastries and grits w/ condiments.

I didn't like the fact that the room did not have a luggage rack. I suppose I could have requested one. I am 72 and hate having my suitcase on the floor. Also no shower cap, but then again I am sure if I called the desk I could have gotten one.

Incredible location, friendly staff, nice amenities Breakfast daily was lovely, free bike use was nice as well.

We had a small issue with our room, which was promptly addressed. The towels were worn, not as plush as we would have expected for the hotel and price. The bathroom tissue was cheap, again not what we would have expected for the hotel and price.

The room and hotel themselves are beautiful and the staff was always very friendly and welcoming.

The walls are so thin we could hear people arguing until the early hours of the morning. You pay $500 plus a night for a room and then are charged to park your car. Valet with the hotel is $55 a night. To park yourself it’s $24-$32 a night. No microwave or refrigerator of any kind in the room.

I loved the location since it was within walking distance of the things we wanted to see and do. Also, there are lots of restaurant choices nearby.

The only issue we had was that the balcony room that we reserved weeks ago, for four nights, was given to someone else. Someone at the hotel locked our 4 night room to give to someone else for one night. Why would you give our room to someone else when we reserved for four nights and the other person stayed just one night? That was a major problem for me and almost caused us to leave and go to another hotel. If it were not for the wonderful girl at the front desk that arranged for us to move to a balcony room the next morning, I would have been very unhappy and it would have ruined our stay. While our visit was off to a bad start, the staff rose to the occasion and was excellent for the rest of our stay.

Beautiful lobby and bar, amazing cocktails, comfortable room and bed. We really enjoyed using the bikes to get around Charleston (although be aware that they only have 5 bikes available first come first served). The breakfast was lovely as well, featuring biscuits with gravy and grits.

No Netflix on the TV.

The location, staff and room were great. Close to area attractions, shopping, restaurants, waterfront for after dinner walks.

Valet parking, there was a fresh scratch and dent on our rental car that I know was not there when we checked in the car. Thankfully, we were not charged by the rental car folks.
