Everything. The surroundings, right next to the forest with lots of accessible paths and lakes nearby. Still accessible by public transport (we got here by public bus) and close to the Nature Centre where you can get lunch or coffee with great views. You are both close to nature and close to civilisation! The rooms are a bit small but very comfy. The idea is to be out in nature as much as possible! The food, breakfast is great and dinner is just excellent! Make sure to reserve your dinner time and decide what you want ahead so it will get served quicker :) We tried 4 different dishes - stayed for three nights -
A slightly later start for the women sauna (currently 6-7am, just 6.30-7.30am like on Saturdays would make it more accessible)

The interior is very stylish and comfy. They had one baby cot and one high chair which was good as I travelling with a one year old. Our small balcony was really nice. Very close is the Haltia Nature Centre where you can have a proper lunch.
The rooms are really small with no closet for the clothes. The shower is also very small. The baseboard in our room came off right after checking in, with 3 nails sticking out. My baby was already “playing” with it. Luckily she didn’t hurt herself. I reported this to the front desk immediately and they said they would fix it, but they didn’t (we stayed 3 days). The path to the beach is not really accessible with a stroller, even though that is not the responsibility of the lodge. But it would be nice if this would be fixed, as the lodge calls itself Lake Lodge.

The people were just exceptional - couldn’t have been more caring and friendly without losing a very high level of professionalism. All the options at breakfast were very fresh with the variety of breads being outstanding - including two types of gluten free bread which was perfect for my wife. The location couldn’t be better providing immediate access to a range of trails and hikes which we thoroughly enjoyed (including seeing a completely black squirrel just metres from us). The other lovely thing was being able to use the breakfast food to make a packed lunch each day for walking
We knew in advance the room was rather compact so were not surprised. However it would be improved if a small cupboard or set of shelves could be installed for more storage. We were lucky that the weather was excellent all week so we left most of our walking gear in the car but had it been inclement it would have been more of a problem

Amazing location, nice trails to explore. Many of the not easy ones have fewer tourists. The tent was spacious and the air conditioning/heating system worked well! Good food and nice personnel.
The tents bio toilet is a freezing toilet, it is less than pleasant to use as your privates get cold rather quickly. If you don’t want to use the bio toilet you can use the public one, but that one is shared and might not be available, as it is right next to the meeting room. The tent does not have a shower, you need to use the sauna facilities to shower and that is only possible if the sauna is not in use or rented out. The personnel is hit and miss, I learned most of how this all works by listening in when it was explained to other guests, it was not mentioned when I checked in.

Pretty cosy and boutique type of stay in the nature right next to numerous hiking/walking trails at Nuuksio ark area. Staff was very attentive and friendly, with personal attention and friendly inquiries for help, advise. Breakfast was really good - portions or choice/variety is not super wide, but you get everything you need and allows for a full breakfast. Most important is that everything is fresh, natural - really great breakfast service
Sauna was only available in the morning for set hours.

This hotel was in a fantastic location for exploring Nuuksio National Park. We had a great few days hiking there and found Haltia Lodge to be a perfect base. Everyone who worked there was incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable with a lovely little balcony. The breakfast was fresh and tasty and the evening meals were delicious. We hope to be able to come back to this hotel again next time we visit Finland.

Great location for hikings, and extremely helpful staff. The breakfast was great and the whole idea of a sustainable hotel was excellently executed.
There were different dogs barking in the morning and in in the evening in the rooms nearby. The idea of hiking and resting was somewhat impacted on the resting part.

Amazing, dedicated staff! Cozy & tasty, organic breakfast. Very versatile and fresh. Conffy beds and pillows. Nice with a balcony to enjoy the views + AC if needed. Several natural trails right from their root. A separate restaurant 2min walk (amazing food!), Haltia - The Finnish Nature Centre and a mini beach. Terrace where to chill after the sauna! Love the commitment with the recycle company Reuse Center. Will definitely come again - was a staycation for us.
Nothing bad to say, the only perhaps disadvantage with the last booked sauna shift was you had the "mature" smell of using a sauna, used towels and empty btls in the mtg space. They advise sauna for 6 pers but I'd say its for 3 pers max.

The staff were amazing. They were extremely friendly and gave lots of informative recommendations on what to do in the area. The room was clean and comfortable and the decor matched the theme of the hotel. The location was great with walks from the door and right by the lake for evening swims! Would definitely return.
We stayed over the bar/ restaurant so did hear quite a bit of noise on a couple of evenings and fairly early some mornings.

My son said this hotel was the very definition of coziness. The staff were very friendly, talkative, and helpful. There was a big group having an event the day we were there and we had a fantastic dinner with the same menu as them. The room was simple but tasteful with a balcony facing the beautiful snowy landscape and a sweet forest aroma, and what a comfy bed! The next morning: great breakfast! The lodge is located in the natural park and easily accessible from Helsinki. We loved our stay and surely come back the next winter.
That we could only stay for one night.
