It is a tricky road to drive up to this property but so worth it! My partner and I enjoyed our stay here very much and definitely would stay again. We planned to go into Oban centre for dinner but after having lunch in the restaurant (best BLT ever) we decided to have dinner there instead. Great choice on our part as the food was so lovely again we had breakfast in the morning too!! Such nice staff and just a great stay all round.

There was no TV in our room which was not an issue as it is our bad for not checking before hand but the area is so nice and quite remote there was no need for one! The room had a speaker in so this was entertainment enough for us. 10AM check out which I felt was quite early but since we stayed in the hotel for dinner it gave us lots of time to go explore Oban so worked out well (:

The room was so cute! Quiet, clean, large bathtub and comfortable bed. There was coffee/tea in the room but they additionally left a few beers in the room for me as the downstairs bar was closed on Mondays. The breakfast included in the morning was delightful and the staff was super friendly.

At the time of year, there was a lack of staff to open the attached restaurant. I was dropped off my friends and didn't have a car so couldn't source other food in the area. They were communicative about this so I had brought a meal intentionally, but this was still unfortunate as I would have liked to try the restaurant.

We loved it here! After an 8 hour drive from Bristol this was our first stop of our holiday and will be hard to beat! Perfect, quiet location with lovely local walks for us and our 2 dogs. The evening meal and breakfast were outstanding and the service was some of the best we’ve had. Our mother in law said it was the best pub meal she’s ever had! Having come from a week in London the week prior Scottish hospitality put London service to shame! No TV but we really liked that, we didn’t come here to sit in our room and watch TV, we sat in the bar and played cards, perfect!

Absolutely fantastic stay at the Kilchrenan Inn. 5 stars, truly. The food was incredible, drinks were good and reasonably priced. Could not fault the staff, they were an absolute delight and in fact - one of the staff went over and beyond for a vulnerable person (non-guest) whom was having car trouble. They ensured the person got home okay to the hotel they were staying and helped arranging roadside service. The rooms were absolutely beautiful, beds comfortable and lovely bathrooms. Breakfast was just divine too.

Nothing really to fault! There weren’t any TVs in the room, just worth noting. But wasn’t a problem really.

The room was well appointed with a good supply of tea, coffee and fresh milk, and very cozy. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had a powerful shower and lovely toiletries. The room was very clean. The Staff were very friendly in the restaurant and made sure our stay was comfortable.

The only complaint was you could very clearly hear the conversations of the the guests in the adjoining room when you were in the bathroom.

We arrived late and had dinner in the pub/restaurant. The quality was way in excess of our expectations. I had a Beetroot cured smoked gravadlax with horseradish cream, cress & toasted sourdough followed by Beer battered haddock & hand cut chips with peas & tartare. The starter was one of the best I have ever had and the main course was the perfect meal for a first day in Scotland. Compliments to the chef!! Our room was spacious with every comfort. A huge comfortable bed with a nice view out the front of the building, and nice bathroom with all necessary accessories.

Nothing. Would have liked to stay a day or two.

OMG! What’s not to like?! Remote location with the amazing road leading to it is a plus. The Inn is beautiful. Rooms are on a smaller size but super comfortable and nicely decorated. Super clean too! The remoteness of the place is fantastic. Hosts are SUPER nice!!! And the food!!! The BEST we have had during the entire trip to the Highlands!!!!

Nothing. Only that we had to leave.

We almost don’t want to rave about this place because we want to keep a secret to ourselves. Food was amazing, staff incredibly friendly and responsive, very comfortable rooms, location was beautiful and conveniently located near Oban, and it was absolutely our favorite stay on our recent vacation. The bunk beds were also a huge hit with the kids—comfy and warm.

Fantastic stay at the Kilchrenan, the room was spacious and well fitted out with all you need for your stay. Plenty of carparking available, and so peaceful once the pub closes. The food was top quality and the staff were very friendly, our two dogs were made very welcome.

Couldn't find fault anywhere, we will definitely be returning to the Kilchrenan again.

Just what a fabulous place! 15 min off the highway... About 30 min outside Oban. What a find this place was. Amazing food for such a location. And a nice small pub. A stream outside. Three horses in the field - black, white, and brown. Lovely staff. Lovely place. We ended up here by accident and what a great accident it was. When we come back to Scotland, we will go out of our way to spend a long weekend here.
