This hotel is very well located in the old town very close to all the wonderful restaurants and just below the castle. Considering how central the hotel was there was very little noise after 23:00. This is an old style boutique hotel lovingly maintained and run by the owners. A welcome drink is available on arrival. The WIFI worked very well and breakfast was plentiful with very fresh produce and the option for freshly cooked eggs to your chosen style. Hot water for the showers was available all day and rooms were cleaned daily. The owners treated each guest as though they were family and went out of their way to offer help, advice or just chat.

My room had no air conditioning which made the room very hot in July. The shower, whilst fully functioning was a little dated. The coffee machine for breakfast is in Slovenian only which made choosing the right coffee difficult for most of the guests unless given instructions.

Charming small hotel in a historic building, located in the midst of Ljubljana's attractive historic center (pedestrian zone). Everything in the hotel is antique - incuding the furniture of your room. Very stylish, it gives you a feeling of diving into old times. So you must not expect modern conveniences (i.e. no elevater, no climatization in the room). But everything is working and well maintained. - Good continental breakfast with fresh, local ingredients. - Friendly staff.

Breakfast officially starts only at 8 pm - ok for tourists but not so practical for business guests. However I did get always something if I came before. - There is a fridge in the room, but it is empty - some bottles of water would have been appreciated as it was quite hot. - The room has been rather small, no chair (just a stool) or desk to do work. Good for sleeping mainly.

The breakfast was excellent: varied, fresh and delicious. The patio where breakfast can be eaten is a little small and fills up quickly, so the second choice, the basement dining room is all right too. The staff is exceptionally attentive, and the help they gave with orientation in Ljubljana, calling a taxi, advising about attractions was very good.

The air conditioning functioned very poorly. Days were very hot in our Ljubljana stay, so we kept the air on, but at night, the outdoor air was cooler and more comfortable than the room itself, and breathing in the closed room was uncomfortable. It was a very nice room in an ideal location of the city, with that one discomfort.

From the moment you enter this hotel, you will step back in time to a period of decorum and sophistication. Each room is furnished with period decor, and you will feel transported back to another era. The staff are absolutely delightful. They look after you like family. They will go above and beyond your expectations to make you feel welcome. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the hotel reception and management team: Luca, Tina and Noura. Such wonderful people! Breakfast is simple, but filling. They will make you eggs exactly as you like. Definitely coming back!

This is a magnificent hotel which I heartily recommend to everyone who enjoys staying in the heart of a historical town. It is in a beautiful, yet quiet street with all the historical landmarks, such as the bridges and the castle, within walking distance. The breakfast is adequate and the hotel comes with a beautiful lobby. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful and efficient. (And Ljubljana is a lovely destination if you take it slowly and take the time to actually visit its sights, go to a couple of museums and churches, walk up the hills etc., rather than just taking a picture of the bridges and leaving.)

Amazing location. Cute boutique hotel. You can walk everywhere in the old town. I like that it is in a pedestrian area. Short 1 min walk from where the taxi drops you off. A ton of excellent restaurants can be found within mins of the hotel. Breakfast is simple but good. The staff are excellent and accommodating. I had to check out at 3am and arranged for my luggage to be brought down in advance so I wouldn't be making a bunch of noise when I left (no lifts, stairs only). The reason being as it is a small hotel, there's no staff on site after 10pm. They also provided me with a few box breakfasts to take with me when I had some day trips planned, although they said they could open early for me but I chose not to be in a rush and what I got was very good to take.

The only thing would be to have a blind in the room to block the window as there was only a sheer curtain. Only a minor thing.

Amazing location. Delicious breakfast. Very clean. 5-6 minute walk to a public parking which is free of charge during weekends.

Definitely not a 4-star experience. The matress was uncomfortable, (two single matresses put together), the room was too small, and there was no shower head which made it har to shower properly, and the shower is also leaking. There is no staff in the hotel during the night, and if you go out or stay out past 9PM you have to lock/unlock the hotel front door yourself. This is not particularly inconvenient, but it is not something that one would expect in a 4 star hotel. No kettle or phone in the room.

A lovely characterful hotel with furniture to fit the "antique" feel of the hotel. Nice lobby bar area for a welcome drink or a drink from the bar. A big room with comfortable armchairs, a fridge, and a big bathroom with an effective shower. We had a nice balcony for sitting out on. The bed was big and comfortable. Breakfast was nice, with eggs cooked to order and delicious croissants. Great location, in a quieter street in the Old Town. Easy access to a walking path to the Castle.

Really nice hotel and staff. It has an old charm to it..The location is excellent as well for walking around town. Breakfast was good as well. I have nothing negative to say except what I noted below...

The only negative comment is that in very hot days/months (like during my stay), the AC is very weak in the (2nd) upper floor room/dormer with small window that I had. I understand that the building is old and updated AC is not able to be installed, but the room got very uncomfotable during the day. I did get a fan from the staff and I had the window open in the nite, and it was manageable, but then I had late night noise makers sometimes. So you have just have to understand when you are visiting and what room you will have.. Or perhaps they have bigger fans or standing type AC's available..

Quirky hotel in great location - quiet street but a stone's throw from Cobblers Bridge. Very large room, comfortable and clean. Very helpful staff. Air con available but not needed during our stay. Liked the antiques and slightly baroque decor style - it suits the area and building, this is definitely not modern minimalism!

Large shower, good water pressure and hot water +++ but only a hand held shower head with a slightly wonky single fixed point point well above head height - slightly tricky for my 89yr old mum!
