The house is beautiful with great decorations. Staff are nice. Converters were provided for us since ours didn't fit for some reason. That saved a lot of trouble. It's a quiet house on a rural unpaved street and you see local people around. The breakfast is served in the beautiful lobby.

The room (we had three single beds) is tiny. It's a 15 min walk to the center, but there are no sidewalks till you come to town, so it's not such a very nice walk for the first stretch and we ended up driving. The window had a broken latch and didn't quite lock (it's a save area but still). And one suggestion: while sweet breads and pastry were good, it would be great to have some cheese and cold cuts for breakfast for those who don't like sweet food.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. Plus the room was well heated at night and the wide window could be opened up to enjoy the pleasant garden. The guest house has a lovely view over the lake and was an easy short walk from the bus station and not that far from the town centre.

The room walls were panelled with dark timber which made the room seem gloomy and smaller than what it was. Could be easily updated with a bright colour make over. Plus the walls are very thin meaning that I could hear every sound from next door. Also the shower was extremely small and the single bed was the narrowest that I've ever slept in.

I loved how cozy the place is and the warmth I felt from the whole family. They were very kind and helped me find good places to eat and companies I scheduled the tour for the visit to the glaciers. This was my first time traveling solo, but I felt very much at home during my stay.

There isn't anything I didn't like per se, I would just recommend a few thing to other guests. First, be sure to play around with the knobs in the shower and the bidet before using them since it can be confusing. I would also advise guests to keep the distance from the center of town in mind. It's not a crazy distance at all, but if you're traveling at night by yourself (like I was after going to bars and such), you'd think twice before walking back late at night. Fortunately, there's plenty of taxi services available that can help you move around.

- The owners were incredibly friendly and always supportive. They helped us organize an excursion to Perito Moreno and answered our many questions about the area. It is a very cozy place and the family running the hosteria is really nice. We would definitely come back! - The view on the lake at breakfast was fantastic - Breakfast was delicious (handmade!) - The beds were comfortable and the rooms warm enough and clean.

The rooms (particularly shower) were a bit small, but useable.

The experience in Hostería Rukahué was great. It is a small hotel but really cozy and clean. I really liked the living room with a great view on the city. It is not far from the city center. It is a family business and all the staff was really kind and helpful. The breakfast was decent as well.

Very friendly and helpful staff/owners, attractive dining area/lounge, small but comfortable room and good value for money. Location a little out of town but easily walkable.

Unlike every other hotel I stayed at the room rate was converted to pesos at the tourist rate rather than the official rate, so it cost more than expected.

Nice place. The place is at walking distance from the main street. There is a hill on the street. So you need to walk it up on your way to the hotel. Staff members were very helpful.

Room mattress could be improved. Breakfast looks nice but it has room for improvement.

We stayed at Hosteria Rukahué at the beginning of a long trip to Patagonia. It was the perfect start - homely, comfortable, with excellent staff and a convenient location for walking into town.
