Hotel itself was great - tastefully designed and decorated - additional breakfast surprisingly great value - would go back no problem but in the warmer months - some great deals on offer for this hotel group available

The bar in the hotel was closed so had to go outside to bar on the old mill complex - not suitable for one of our party in the freezing weather - nice bar tho but freezing inside - thought car park reasonably priced £10 overnight but thought should be free for badge holders - also when I bkd I noticed I had only bkd 2 persons for 2 double rooms and they charged me extra 18 Pounds to change to 2 persons per room within 5 mins of my mistake - so I checked website price for 4 persons 2 rooms and it was still 18 Pounds cheaper anyway as we hadn't bkd breakfast at the time couldn't see how they justified the price difference - didn't complain at the time would have embarrassed the rest of our party but wouldn't put me off returning but learned a lesson in double-checking bookings in future

We absolutely loved this hotel. It’s gorgeous and full of charm—every detail feels really thoughtful, and the decor is such a nice nod to the building’s history. The painted glass panels are stunning, and the whole place has a really warm, welcoming feel. The room was big, bright, with lovely touches like L’Occitane toiletries and an incredible shower. The courtyard with the fairy lights was so cosy in the evening—it just has a great atmosphere. And the staff were brilliant—so friendly and helpful, they made everything feel really easy and relaxed. We didn’t want to leave! Would definitely stay again.

The bed wasn’t the comfiest and the pillows were a bit too flat for us. There’s no air con, and the room held the heat, which made it hard to sleep. The woman on reception kindly gave us a little fan, which helped a bit. Totally get that Clitheroe doesn’t usually get hot weather, so this probably isn’t a common issue—but it did affect our sleep on this visit.

The venue was fabulous, very quirky. Room was a good size and The bed was very comfortable with lovely Egyptian cotton bedding.

The carpet in our room was very grubby definitely needs a good deep clean or replacing. Breakfast service was very slow we had to ask 3 times for our order to be taken. It wasn't busy when we were there so not sure why service was so slow. Poor/ very limited choice of cereal yoghurt etc. cooked breakfast, when it arrived, was absolutely delicious with excellent quality ingredients.

Friendliness of staff . Eager to answer our queries to help our trip . Parking is a problem nearby . Receptionist did her best to help us sort this . Even offered us her own parking space when she was going off duty . Emporium nearby is an excellent restaurant nearby and hotel offer 15%off for their guests . Location to nearby coffee shop Bowmill is an added advantage too . Breakfast was very reasonable .

The hotels restaurant is not open in the evening except for wedding functions . Shame we really enjoyed our breakfast there and thought the room gorgeous . The Bar isn’t open either but we were able to go to Beer hall next door .

Very comfortable accommodation in a converted mill. Close to the centre of Clitheroe and a short (although steep) walk up to the castle, the hotel is well positioned. My room was cosy, exceptionally clean and well appointed. The bed was comfortable and the room, on the night I was there, was quiet (although guests are warned of some noise when events are being hosted). Although I didn't have breakfast, the menu selection was good and reasonably priced. Without exception, staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Parking was almost impossible and made arrival at the hotel stressful. The small hotel car park entrance was difficult to locate and poorly signposted (the entrance is opposite the entrance to Sainsburys). Also, with it also being the car park for the Everyman cinema, it is usually full and the alternative car parks suggested by the hotel were also small and were full. Miraculously I managed to park in a side street, but don't rely on being able to do this, as most parking there is resident only.

The hotel was new and apart from a poorly ventilated room (windows, but no air conditioning) was good.

The connected food options in the adjacent Bar and Grill were poor. We ate on Sunday at 16.30 and the quality of the food was adequate to poor. When my wife complained about a Goat cheese salad with only a small amount of cheese but think slices of beetroot, smothered in balsamic - the cook said that the way its supposed to be. My pie and chips were OK and the beer was good, but it spoiled the overall experience.

The room was nice and spacious, with a very comfy bed. The duvet was cozy and would be very nice in winter but was way too hot for September. Good shower with excellent pressure!

It would have been nice to have a luggage rack (there was plenty of floor space for it), and somewhere in the bathroom, i.e. a shelf or a stool, to leave the washbag. The bathroom floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned very thoroughly. The spotlights were too bright and the bedside lamps too dim. A floor lamp to give more ambient light would have been very welcome. The desk is lovely and slim and unobtrusive but not very practical if it needs to be use for work.

The family room was spotlessly clean with a good selection of tea & coffee facilities. The room decor was very tasteful and in keeping with the building and the beds were very comfortable. The Receptionist was very friendly, helpful and welcoming and it was great to be able to park on site. During our stay we had lunch in the foodhall, had fun bowling, ate and drank in the Brewery and enjoyed breakfast at the Emporium. A great way to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday especially when the weather was wet and miserable. We will definitely stay again hopefully when the weather is better so we can explore Clitheroe.

Location, right next door to Holmes Mill and the Everyman theatre. I wasn't expecting the room to be as nice and spacious as it was, as only paid £57 for a Monday night stay.

We arrived early at 1:20, so wasn't expecting to check in, left out luggage and went next door at Holmes Mill for lunch. When we checked in after 3pm we were given our key card and a 15% discount voucher for Holmes Mill, shame they didn't give it to us earlier as we could have saved on lunch

Great room, very comfortable, modern decor, friendly staff. Didn't have any meals in the hotel so can't comment on that but did have a drink in the Bistro which was very nice although fairly pricey (£30 for a bottle of wine). There's no parking at the hotel itself, but you can take advantage of 3 hours free parking at Holmes Mill complex then either pay (£10 overnight) or move your car to another car park (the Castle car park is less than 5 minutes walk on same street as hotel and much cheaper) or there is free on-street parking along that same street (Eshton Terrace) if you can find a space (we did, just a couple of minutes from the hotel entrance)
