Excellent hotel in a picturesque place nice food at the hotel can't fault any of the staff and the best place to propose and my girlfriend said yes

We have stayed there before in a very nice room so I decided to pick this room again to propose to my girlfriend but when we arrived we was given a room which was nothing like the room we stayed in before so quick trip to the desk and quickly resolved by putting us in a nicer room apparently you need to request which room you would like even though you book a certain type room on booking.com but quickly sorted by the staff at the hotel

room was excellent lovely and big which was a surprise with a lovely separate area for watching TV with a nice comfy sofa also a nice big area for the wardrobe where the tea and coffee making facilities were as well the swimming pool was lovely nice and clean and for a change actually a nice warm temperature also the steam room was excellent unfortunately the sauna wasn't very hot not sure if there was a fault

the bed was nice and big but it was two large singles put together and they were also very very soft (i know its a personal choice but a bit firmer would have been nicer) the bathroom was again lovely and spacious but the shower itself had really poor water flow so it wasn't very enjoyable to stand under as it got quite chilly with no water really running over you

Love this place, huge rooms (suite!) The bathroom is massive with proper separate facilities. Sofa, terrace, huge bedroom. Clean and cared for. Towels a plenty and everything you could need. The staff are very friendly the food and the wine is good. I even received a message on my arrival day to ask for my arrival time. This means they actually care that I'm coming! This is my second time here, and I will definitely stay again.

The mattress was a bit tired and not terribly comfortable. A very glamorous, busy, and noisy Indian wedding on my 2nd night.. complete with horses in the car park and tooting horns on arrival and departure. No big deal really, made it hard to get in and out of the hotel and was still a bit noisy when going to bed.

Size and comfort of room, Great friendly staff, Quality of food both at Dinner & Breakfast was superb. Normally we would stay at one of national chains that Sir Lenny Henry advertises (PI) but this is definitely worth the little extra £. Restaurant is good value for money for the quality and quantity of food received along with superb service. ***No service charges or table charges which is a pleasant surprise nowadays*** enable us to choose to leave a good tip which we did.

This was a last minute trip to family over the easter weekend to visit family room availability was only showing for 1 night out of the 3 nights required on booking.com. Next time we will plan a little better or contact hotel directly. One minor area that could be improved is to switch the outside lighting "on" at the reception entrance steps a little earlier. Dark steps = potential accidents.

Lighting in room much better than normal. Room was huge. Easy access ro pool and facilities there. Staff especially at breakfast were very good. Reasonable choice of evening meals. The mousaka was good.

There were one or 2 maintainence issues, which were not attended to. Got impresseion staff were happy to say these things would be dealt with straight away, but nothing happened.

We were appointed a ground floor disabled room which I had requested. The room was lovely, very big with a sitting-room separate to the bathroom and bedroom. The room was lovely and warm, and the television had a freeview tv. There was lots of lovely towels and pillows. Lots of hangers provided in the wardrobe. Our grandsons were allowed to swim in the heated swimming pool which is lovely and use the sauna and spa. Towels were provided to them which was lovely . They loved it. We had drinks in the bar which were lovely and reasonably priced and the staff were very friendly and nice. Even serving us while they cleaned up as there were no other customers. Loved all the Halloween decorations.

Our bathroom had a bath in it which my husband struggled to get into, in order to have a shower. I am sure I could have moved but it was late in the evening when we arrived so we didn't challenge it. There were a lot of wasps in the men's changing rooms so we let our grandsons use our room to shower and change. Reception informed me that they were trying to deal with it.

...Some rooms bit dated ,and need referb , but hotel has a super swimming pool , restaurant is decent , with a wide variety on the menu , excellent parking and walkable to Whalley ,,, and railway station not too far away ... also very good value overall !! :)

Lovely hotel and very spacious rooms with plenty beds

Hotel itself looked grand, but the rooms looked tired and outdated. Ordered a twin room that turned out to be a two bedroom room with twin beds in one, and a double bed in the other, so really we didnt need to book as many separate rooms as we did. Will book less rooms if we come again.

The hotel is beautiful nice lovely room with sitting area and bedroom separate lovely bathroom with shower and a separate bath nice litte patio area to sit and enjoy the quiet do peaceful the breakfast was lovely and also a cold buffet aswell overall a brilliant hotel and really enjoyed my stay did take a video of the room but can't upload it on here so a picture of the fountain outside main reception breakfast and nice little seating area out the back near our room

Great location, fantastic restaurant and food. Swimming pool and sauna perfect. The chickens wandering the garden was an added bonus, my Grandaughter loved them! Plenty of parking. Really good sized rooms and family rooms. Will definitely stay here again with my family.

Two webs on the bathroom ceiling otherwise perfect. No complaints.
