Firstly the location was amazing. It was off the M65 motorway, despite this we couldn't hear any cars or noise from the traffic. Nearby the hotel there was a petrol station, McDonalds, Chaiiwala, KFC and a Starbucks cafe. I arrived at 3pm (check in time) and after a few minutes was given a key card (which you need for the lift). I stayed in a queen room with a sofa bed. There was a iron, ironing board and a hairdryer. There is also a dry-cleaning service if you need it. The pillows and bed were both very soft, which is perfect after a long day. In the morning breakfast is served from 6am till 10am. There is a variety of foods to try in the morning with both hot/cold drinks. On sight there is free parking, a charging point for electric cars, a gym and a large meeting room. There is also 2 pool tables as well.

I am being picky but the breakfast could have more vegetarian options e.g. Quorn sausages. Another idea would be having fresh fruit as well.

Staff very welcoming and accommodating. We had just had 5 days away and needed somewhere to stop before driving home, our little boy was over tired and the calm environment was much appreciated. Our son loved the beanbag chairs in reception allowing him time to regulate his emotions while still being in our sight. Staff made good recommendations for food as we didnt really want to go out again once settled in the hotel. Check in and check out was really easy. The breakfast included was a welcome treat to set us up for our drive home.

The bed wasn't the comfiest but it was fine for a single night stay

Great place and good value, staff were very helpful and even integrated with our group. Helped with arranging taxi's and suggested restaurants. On check in i had to part with a £100 deposit in case I caused damage to the hotel room ?? This was not mentioned on booking . Given a room adapted for a disabled person ( I am not ), but the rooms are bigger, maybe meant as an upgrade? Alot of damage to many bathroom tiles ?? I reported this fearing they would acuse me of causing the damage. The shift manager stated they were already aware.... that was all. A pleasant stay, reasonable bar prices.

Breakfast great, very clean, staff polite.

They charged me twice. I received my invoice by email after checking out and upon reconciling it with my bank account it was apparent they had charged my card twice. I went back to the hotel and they admitted the error and assured me a refund would be processed and in my account within 5 days (not ideal if this had taken someone into an overdraft!). A week later with no refund I called the hotel and complained. Again lots of apologies and yet another week later still no refund. I have called hotel and asked for manager to call me. Still waiting and situation unresolved. So if you like paying twice for your hotel stay then pick the Hampton by Hilton Blackburn.

The room looked amazing, view was great, staff were friendly and amenities in room was perfect. The breakfast was a great experience and having a milk machine helped with our baby needs.

The shower was not cleaned to our standards but overall OK. The soaps provided were empty, Only shampoo available. Would have been nice to have water in kettle so did not have to use toilet sink tap. There was not a staff always available at the desk in the late morning/afternoon. I waited for long while before giving us to ask a query.

It was convenient for the motorway & travelling on, after a couple of days rest. Comfortable bed & nice breakfasts. The gentleman that booked us in was very professional & welcoming as were the ladies at breakfast in the mornings. Welcoming smiles & looking at a person mean a great deal, especially when like me they are deaf! It was very clean & the fridge in the room made cold water & juice always available which was very much appreciated.

Some of the staff were very 'reluctant' to communicate or assist when I was trying to make enquiries. Perhaps this coloured my view in not finding this a relaxing hotel which l found unusual for a Hilton.

Everything was decent, but being able to screen mirror on the smart TV was a bonus.

We were in room 309 next to the cleaner's utilities room, and you heard the occasional noise from their early in the morning. Also, the shower cubicle was a bit grubby, and the water didn't drain quickly enough, so you feared flooding. Finally, why do hotels not have vegetarian sausages, and why do cooks make the scrambled eggs so slimey and wet, yuck!! I paid for the breakfast but was only able to have tea!!

Hilton is always good value for money. you get what it says on the tin. nicely decorated comfortable rooms, all very clean, lovely toiletries, etc. the location of this particular hotel was convenient for us on the way back home from Lancaster. we also appreciated the checkout at noon rather than 11am. the breakfast was of good quality, although quite limited options.

they could've improved the breakfast with only a few little bits. 1. the breakfast on the weekend shouldn't end at 10am. people want to sleep, for god's sake. they could have extended breakfast at least until 10.30 on the weekend. 2. the lack of any fresh veg for breakfast was disappointing. 3. when we came at 9.30, which is 30 minutes before the end, there weren't any croissants or cheese left. the breakfast is already quite limited as it is, so at least make sure you have enough of your popular items.

Was expecting a functional no-nonsense business hotel (which it was no doubt) but was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were compact but very well designed and seemed roomier than expected. Breakfast buffet was the best we had on our trip. Limited menu compared to the fancier and more expensive hotels we stayed in at Windermere and London, but the food seemed fresher and tastier. Will definitely want to stay here on our next visit to Blackburn.

The building was open and bright with natural light. Room was well planned and I loved the attention to detail of whom may be staying. Hooks next to the shower for towels, sliding doors, sockets next to the beds and large windows again making the rooms blight and inviting.

The only issue I had was breakfast. Sometimes the items were not out in time for customers. Certain items were not replaced when it ran out. I can’t say it was the fault of the hotel as I saw a couple of inconsiderate customers taking a plate load of croissants which means it was not available for others. These people were only taking them to use for the rest of the day! Plates were not cleared during the day. I saw a couple of the male staff members look over but then look away to save them from cleaning it up. As a whole staff was amazing but these individuals do drag down the image and reputation of your hotel. I can safely say Marcella is a massive asset to your team. She went above and beyond to help. Extremely helpful and pleasant.
