The double beds were small but extremely comfortable (we had 3 people in the room and 2 doubles). We slept very well. Room was spacious and the design was nice. There was a party or wedding going on that was quite audible from carpark but we couldn't hear it at all from our room. Good facilities and nice toiletries. Shower was good but not exceptional.

A lot of dust behind the nightstand. Cleanliness standard would not have passed muster on Four in a Bed. We expected more from Marriott in that regard. One small miscommunication - front desk told us that my sister (who was not a guest but lives locally) could buy a day pass to the leisure centre to join me. Leisure centre desk told us that this is actually not possible and it's only hotel guests allowed. Spa desk said you can buy a £25 day pass IF you book a massage. Not clear communication between the 3 desks.

Nice feel to the hotel. Fairly quiet. Nice decor. Bed very welcoming, but a little too soft for me. Breakfast had plenty of choice, and apart from the black pudding was tasty. Small swimming pool, but again nice.

Frustratingly, unlike other hotels I’ve stayed in I had issues getting connected to the WiFi, and was not impressed I had to turn off my virus protection. Using the WiFi was essential as the area seemed to have a phone service black spot. Don’t have to do this else where, so I’m wondering what was different in this Hotel’s set up. The Staff were helpful in trying to solve this issue.

A very friendly feel to this hotel and a lovely welcome from the staff on reception, Paul, Ellie and Brenna. I had accidentally brought the wrong charging equipment for my phone, having travelled from abroad, and reception very kindly offered to charge my dying phone until I received the correct plug later that day! The decor was lovely, impeccably clean everywhere, comfortable rooms, and chilled drinking water, both fizzy and still, available free from water points throughout the hotel. I opted for the breakfast in the hotel and all I can say is Wow! Everything you could want from a breakfast buffet, served fresh and hot, everything clean, and again lovely staff - especially Deanna who made me feel very welcome. I also went down to the spa area. A nice sized swimming pool, two hot tubs, a steam room, and the hottest hotel sauna I have experienced - wonderful! And everything again was kept really clean. On my last evening I had a meal in the bar. Again another nice welcoming atmosphere. The food was good too and piping hot. Good service.

Dated decor in places particularly the bathrooms. No room service menu in the room. Were told we could order breakfast to room but couldn’t work out how to do this. Lots of staff stood around at breakfast but not particularly helpful. Extractor fan in room was extremely loud and continuous even when bathroom light was off. Very large property could have done with assistance with luggage to and from room. Leisure club could do with an upgrade - good facilities but tired looking

Family room was excellent. Staff were friendly & helpful. Location was great...just off M6. Great for a stopover. Grounds were lovely. Breakfast was excellent...lots of variety & available over a long period. Late check out option was also good. Would recommend.

Everything was very good with only two exceptions; 1. Conditioner bottle on wall in bathroom was empty. Didn't realise until in shower & about to condition my hair. Luckily I brought some with me. I appreciate that I could have asked for some, but would expect some conditioner to be present on check in. 2. I contacted the hotel after booking to highlight that a member of the party was gluten & egg free. I was assured this was not a problem. At breakfast they had no gluten free sausages, which was disappointing. Fortunately, gluten & egg free bread was available & there were other options.

Staff without exception were superb. Accommodated my request for a ground floor room overlooking parking space so that I could monitor our vehicle as we were travelling with show dogs. Room was superb - huge for two of us and far exceeded expectation. Immaculately kept hotel and grounds. The staff, as I say, were superb in attitude and customer service without exception which, trust me, is RARE in the hotel trade but hats off - ten out of ten all round. The greeting from the receptionists on arrival was our first impression and that was brilliant and from then on, simply amazing throughout our stay - we both said that we wished we'd have booked an extra night and probably will next time we are in that area for a show.

Nothing really - maybe more bins dotted around the car park perhaps but that was a personal thing and just so that we could dispose of some food packaging, etc., that we had had in the vehicle rather than walk it through the hotel.....

Hotel clean, nice and bright. Met with a lovely man on arrival (sure he was the GM if remember correctly) who showed us directions for room and other facilities. Staff were very helpful and recommended a lovely italian restaurant just outside the area of hotel (done by uber) Breakfast was amazing, lots of choice of everything. Leisure facilities nice, had a fair bit of room in pool also used sauna and steam room with no problems. Nice comfortable areas to relax . Room was clean, bed comfortable and nice soft pillows that I liked but my partner not so much. Kettle provided with coffee mugs also a nice gesture of a take away cup which was a nice touch. Also supplied with complimentary tins of water, teas and milk.

We stayed here as 2 adults and 2 children, 8 and 10yrs over the Easter holidays and we had a great time. The room was clean and my only comment is that personally we are used the larger double/king beds. My 8 and 10 year old shared a bed and they found they it wasn't as roomy as they would have liked. We used the pool, breakfast room and bar/restaurant and have no complaints. The food was lovely, plenty of options and the staff were happy to accommodate any requests.

The beds were a little smaller than we are used to and we had 'crunchy pillows'.

We have stayed before in room for 4, but were only given enough provisions for 2. On booking this time, we made a specific request to ensure we were given enough provisions for 4, but arrived to a room with provisions for 2! Staff friendly and were happy to rectify this. only a couple of teabags and coffee satchets which doesn't seem very generous, although again, staff would provide more if asked. We thought food in restaurant was nice, but very small portions and therefore overpriced.

Breakfast was amazing well worth the money. My partner still can't get over how good his steak was he had for evening meal, and keeps wanting to travel 2 hours to have it again. One of the reasons we will be back. Beds/pillows so comfy. Rooms are good size with good amenities. Son loved that there were ice machines and water dispensers on the different floors, he felt very grown up going to get drinks. We had gone for my son's birthday, we mentioned at reception that it was the purpose of our stay, and 5 mins into checking into the room the receptionist came up with a bag of chocolates and a happy birthday note. Great service ❤️

The pool was dirty, as if lots of people had been In wearing oil or moisturiser, and wasn't very warm.
