You simply MUST stay here if you want to be within 30 minutes of Munich while experiencing Bavaria at its best. Runa's is picturesque, very clean and cozy, and its staff are top-of-the-line in professionalism, friendliness, and knowledge about the area. Plus, the price is quite reasonable for the joy of experiencing life in a German village of 11,000 people.

The only disappointment - and it is a very small one - was the pillows were way too soft. Such a small thing. Otherwise, the room and mattress were both excellent - and so were the location, staff, shuttle, and food.

Great location, very close to the airport which makes this hotel the perfect stay before an early morning flight. The hotel’s shuttle service is very convenient too. The room (2nd floor in the older building) was spacious and very clean with a nice view to a nearby church and a quiet neighborhood. The restaurant has a real nice, traditional Bavarian atmosphere with delicious dishes for dinner and a nice variety for breakfast. The staff was kindly trying to assist with every issue I had.

The hotel is very close to the airport which results in constant noise from the taking off airplanes - unfortunately the balcony door in the room wasn’t closing well enough to filter out these noises. There’s no elevator in the older building and if there’s no able member of the staff to help guests have to drag their heavy suitcases up and down by themselves (the staircase in the old building is rather steep and narrow too which makes it even harder to carry anything on it). The room doors are rather thin too so that every noise from the hallway can be heard. The mattress was rather old and uncomfortable, the pillow very cheap and too soft to give any support. The reception is in the restaurant which makes this nice place always noisy and busy so you cannot enjoy your meal.

Liked that they have a restaurant that was open around 9pm when lots of others are closed. Has an authentic German feel. Liked that some of the rooms have kitchenettes, instant coffee, and fridges available.

May have just been in my room, but neither of the fridges worked and one of them was loud even when shut so you could hear it when trying to sleep. Internet was a little off at least for me where it would load earlier on in the day, but wasn’t reliable later in the evening. With the lack of air conditioning in most European properties, leaving doors and windows open is essential in the summer but my room was above the outdoor seating area for the restaurant which meant there was lots of noise coming from downstairs until around 10-10:30ish which may not be ideal for all.

Great proximity to the airport, about 1 hour away from downtown Munich by public transit. Pleasantly surprised to find the regional bus that leads to the hotel running all night long. Room was clean and fine for one night before flying out the next day. Easy and cheap shuttle (12 euro for two people) to the airport. Basic breakfast for 10 euro a person offering bread, hard boiled eggs, meat and cheese, cereals, fruit, etc.

Really hot in our room and no air conditioning and it was raining so we couldn’t open the windows. If you’re not staying during the heat of the summer it’d be fine though.

Good price, near the airport. Warm, German guesthouse feel. Restaurant served tasty, traditional food for Breakfast and Dinner. TV had selection of stations. Bathroom was clean, new shower curtain, plenty of hot water.

Parking was available at a cost which I wasn't aware of beforehand. Shower was small, not a problem for me but possibly for others. There was a large man with a very large suitcase who was unable to get his suitcase up the winding stairs (no lift), again not a problem for us as we had small overnight bags.

-Breakfast: A variety cold cuts, cheese, bread, fresh fruit, coffee and a nicely set table. -Hotel Shuttle Transportation: Friendly, safe driver to pick us from the airport and provide transportation the following morning to airport. -Dinner optional, it was perfect to have dinner conveniently available at the hotel instead of . -Quiet area away from the bustle, 10min walk to grocery store. excellent way to end an unexpected "airport" situation.(stay was unplanned, needed something overnight as our flight was unexpectedly postponed). -Family management; added a personal warm touch.

Great location, friendly personality and great breakfast

Shuttle bus transportation to airport: after waiting for 15 minutes with family with small kids I needed to ask reception to call the driver. Bus come finally 20 minutes late, but it took 15 more minutes when driver was organizing rent car etc, so finally we started our ride to airport 35 min late!!! Driver was unfriendly and didn’t answer to my question when are we going? And price was 3 € less than private taxi what I took from airport to hotel, so never again!!,

I loved the little town that made you feel like you were in a special part of Munich. It is pretty close to the bus stop, and a 15 minute walk to more restaurants and grocery store. I liked that the hotel provided dinner and it was delicious! I ordered the schnitzel with spaetzel. Thankfully there was a ceiling fan, as there is no AC, but it was comfortable with the windows open. Helpful and friendly staff Loved that I could get a ride to the airport with the hotel shuttle. Thank you Zoltan for the 5:30 am ride!

I liked everything. It was charming.

Nice shuttle to and from the airport, in a little neighborhood that was quiet but close to airport, had a restaurant, bar and outside picnic table. We liked that it was NOT an airport hotel. Very relaxing stay before a long international flight.

There were no outlets near bed for charging devices, ‘reading’ light was up high, hard to turn on and bothered both sleepers

Staff was so warm and welcoming! This was our first time in Europe and they made all the difference. Airport shuttle was quick (our wait was less than 10 minutes) and convenient. They served dinner and breakfast and both were exceptional! Our room was clean, quiet and cozy, just the right size. Bathroom was clean and had everything we needed. With the proximity of public transport we had no problem getting to Ocktoberfest. Our stay was so lovely, we booked again when we returned to Munich a week later. Truly an exceptional place to stay!! We will definitely be back!

Water in the shower took a bit to heat up, but once it did there was no issue.
