The food was amazing, both breakfast and the evening meal. The staff are friendly and the service was good. Rooms basic (we were in 12 just across the car park) but perfectly adequate and very clean. Plenty of parking and lovely outdoor areas, with some parts covered. Great location for visiting a few places within the area. Lots of sockets for charging mobiles. Mirror in bathroom lights up so great for make up.

In our room the TV and extractor fan, in bathroom, didn't work. Both single beds you could feel the mattress springs sticking into you, so not very comfortable. Two lovely outdoor seating areas but the best one, at the front and in the sun, was for smokers. Apologies but, we sat in the outside bit, for non smokers, and it was really cold. Moved to the front, in the sun, but had to put up with smoke coming at us. Seems silly to give over a whole beautiful seating area for an odd smoker. Just one small round mirror, in the room and near a socket, but you need to be 6 foot to see to blow dry your hair.

We stayed in the main building which is a comfortable village pub. Maybe showing its age a bit. Room 8 was comfortable and quiet with a great view out over the church, though it was curiously plain with not a single picture on the walls and no information of any kind. The bed was quite comfortable and we slept well. It was easy to find a space in the car park. The staff were all helpful and friendly even when being asked repeated questions! There was a good choice of cooked breakfast including for vegetarians, though there wasn't any fruit which is unusual. Great location for Raglan Castle.

No decaff tea bags or coffee in the room. None available at reception though I was offered a coffee from the machine. We couldn't find a WiFi code anywhere and I had to go down to reception to discover you just put your email address in. It would be helpful to be told that at check-in.

Fantastic warm welcome by the lovely staff. Kindly accommodated getting key early before a wedding as front door locks at ten. Welcoming complimentary hot drink on returning. Easy and free parking for hotel guests and big free car park 500 yards down the road also. Breakfast freshly cooked to order by head chef and plentiful variety. Tesco Express and Morrisons Local within easy walking distance, as well as a great looking butchers. Dinner menu (not tried) looked fantastic and we plan to return to give it a go! Loved the Cadw tapestries in communal areas.

Room decor a bit dated but perfectly serviceable. It was a coaching inn after all!

Staff were lovely, must mention the manager who has a shared liking for Billy Idol and put his playlist on in the Bar😁. Food is very good, both in the Brasserie and the breakfast they serve. Bed was comfy and there was a fan in the room which was very welcome! There was complementary shower gel etc. in the bathroom. Nice choice of drinks and lots of outside seating, covered areas too in case it rains.

Shower was not so good, pressure low? Also it's rather creaky opening doors or walking around. Quaint for sure but hard to nip into the loo in the night without making a racket.

It was good to find a Hotel that catered for our Golden retriever during our overnight stay. Parking was easy within a few metres of the Coach House where we stayed. The two single beds were comfortable and the room, although a little on the small side was well ventilated from the window. We ordered dinner in advance of our stay and the food was excellent, as was the breakfast the following day. We would certainly stay there again, many thanks to all the excellent staff.

The TV wasn't working, but as we only stayed the one night that wasn't a problem.

Cozy warm atmosphere, Lovely staff, Great Breakfast (included in price)…Gorgeous evening meal,, cooked perfectly & promptly served,,Nice little traditional Bar ,, Loved the way our Dog was just made so welcome,, All spaces clean & Tidy, Our Room 3 was perfect for the 2 night stay,, lovely view of the old church right out side especially at night with lights illuminating tower,,Good big shower , plenty hot water & plenty of toiletries,, Nice quiet location in Little village… Loved this place…👏👍🥰

Good sized TV,,, but could not get normal channels ,,, But still got great films on Netflix & Prime,,, so all good…

Staff were lovely and made us feel so welcome - including our dog. I especially loved the singing coming out of the kitchen! Good to hear happy staff. The breakfast was a highlight and I was a little sad we were still so full from the late dinner the night before to do it justice. It’s a little gem and I hope we can return.

The room we stayed in was let down slightly by the cups provided for hot drinks. Two mugs would have been better rather than shallow, wide cups that had seen better days and which were awkward to hold.

Very happy with our choice of hotel for a stay for a wedding at Sant Ffraed, three miles down the road. (Advice - if you need taxis to get to/from that venue, BOOK EARLY!) Staff friendly, welcoming and helpful. Cosy Snug bar, great selection of drinks and good wines. Plenty of outside seating for drinks/food weather permitting. Evening dinner in a lovely big dining area, great menu choices and all at very reasonable prices. The food was excellent and a real bonus at the end of a long day to just go downstairs. Breakfast in a separate dining/bar area was all you could want, cereals, pastries, yoghurt and fresh fruit and a really good cooked breakfast, option for vegetarian too. The bedding, towels and bathroom were really clean and fresh. Located in the centre of the tiny town of Raglan, just off the A40. Small Tesco, pharmacy, clothes shop and amazing butchers/deli, petrol station, another pub and outdoor launderette! Beautiful views over the church and beyond. Great area for cycling.

Personally would rather have fresh tea in a pot than from a self service machine, simply because the force of water makes the tea go funny and it looks very unappetizing. However I got around that by filling another mug with the boiling water and transferring it to a mug with the milk and tea bag in. I'm just fussy with my tea!! :-) Carpeting/flooring rather tired/dated But these are my only negatives, and of little consequence to our enjoyment of our stay.

What a gem of a find! We booked this due to the original hotel we booked closing. How lucky were we! The bedrooms are tastefully decorated and very clean. The staff were super helpful and polite. They even set us up to continue our chat after the pub was closing so we didn't have to cram in our room. The food was excellent - tasty and so well cooked. I've never had hashbrowns that nice to be honest. Great to find it is also dog friendly so will be back to try again soon!

The only thing ready for a change is the stair carpet.

Was in Raglan for a reenactment and it was pouring rain. I was supposed to be camping. This hotel saved my life and my sanity! It was nice and warm and dry and very cozy. Staff were very helpful and weren’t phased by a medieval man running around. Beautiful hotel and beautiful location! It was so lovely to wake up and see the medieval church from my cozy bed. I’d stay here again.

Wasn’t able to access the plugs by the bed but everything else was literally perfect.
