A historical abbey cleverly juxtaposed with modern design elements. Staff on point... excellent memories & personable. Offered to store our wine purchases in their cellar during our stay, but their subterranean valet parking sufficed. Super comfy bed, quality linens & bath products. Easily walkable to fine dining & shopping. It's a great hotel in a great city.

We made a last minute booking & were assigned room #123, directly above their restaurant kitchen. You could smell frying food from the hallway, and the room was unbearable. It's not a viable unit imo unless they can insulate the kitchen ventilation. But we luckily checked in early enough that, despite being fully booked, they could relocate us. Unfortunate for the later arrival stuck with that room.

Absolutely beautiful!! The transformation of this historic building into a hotel could not highlight the beautiful features and space any better. ALL the staff were so attentive and also provided a wealth of information. The eclectic collection of artwork throughout was fantastic--we were told it is changed out every two weeks. The bar is alluring, but don't miss having drinks in the courtyard. Having the dining area elevated into the main space--well, it was just stunning (as was the breakfast!). Our room was on the main floor and overlooked a garden area. We loved the spacious bath, the high ceilings, the mix of old and new!

We really like and don't mind walking...but if you are looking to be "in the middle of things," this may be a bit of a walk for you. Still...don't miss staying here!

This was a faultless place to stay and the overall design of the conversion of the former church buildings just adds a special topping. The public spaces are chic and have tasteful art installed, some of which is for sale. The dining area is unique, in my opinion, and worth a visit for a meal even if not staying. Our room was well apportioned, spotless and lacked for nothing. The staff were very attentive and even spotted it was my birthday so gave me cakes as I checked out.

One tiny gripe is the WiFi is not secure so I did not use it. A password protected system surely is a minimum standard to expect.

Loved the breakfast, room, beds and the extraordinary service. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and felt sad to leave. The staff manages to “slow you down” from the moment you walk in, they recalled which room we stayed at and that we were hotel guests; it was exceptional. The hotel itself is something special and you feel blessed to be allowed to stay here. Would recommend staying here to anyone.

The coffee at the restaurant and breakfast tastes terrible, like Senseo. In my personal opinion at a five star hotel, the coffee should be freshly made by baristas. The nespresso in the hotel room is better. There was a small bin missing at the toilet, which means that if you as a woman have your time of the month, you need to cross the room with a little plastic bag so you can deposit it in the bathroom or bin in the room. It can cause uncomfortable situations.

It’s just a beautiful hotel, a great location, staff is amazing, genuinely professional and incomparable to my last stay 10 years ago. The rooms are just really well thought out with quality furnitures. Very comfortable bed

Some of the equipment in the room was damaged but nothing too serious. The problem with the hotel is the prize, it’s as expensive as an equivalent offer in Paris which is puzzling. They charge 45 euros per night for the parking while the standard room is close to 400. Same with breakfast, eggs are not included, you have to pay extra when the starting price is already at 38 euros. Quality is there though.

Beautiful hotel with an amazing atmosphere. Everything was top quality, the staff were nice and friendly and the stay was very comfortable and peaceful. Location is great, close to central parts of Maastricht but in a more quiet area.

We were expecting a room with a beautiful big stained glass window based on booking pictures but our room had a very small window instead. Breakfast options were somewhat limited and basic despite the high price and you still had to pay extra for things like pancakes and eggs benedict.

Beautiful historical hotel - very centrally located. Friendly staff. Parking was also well organised. The hotel umbrellas came in very handy - thank you!

The rooms of the same category are not equal. We booked two rooms from the same category, but the one was much nicer and larger than the other one. The check-in procedure also takes longer than at other hotels. Anything at the front desk seems to take a long time.

We were greeted as if we were friends coming for a visit. The staff were all very friendly/professional and we were treated very well. The building is absolutely gorgeous from one end to the other. Beautiful architecture, mixed with modern art ..every inch was new and different and stunning. The room was wonderful, from the very comfortable bed right down to the warm cozy smelling hand soap. The restaurant food was off the charts delicious and unique, and sitting up above the "Alter" with the windows was the most unique and special dining experience. Absolutely love it, it made our 20th anniversary extra special and we couldnt have been happier with our stay there.

Not a single thing. This place was sheer perfection. Don't change a thing.

Beautiful hotel, lovely staff, delicious cocktails at the bar, welcome glass of champagne was a lovely touch. The valet parking was great not having to worry about finding parking etc.

It was quite noisy in the room - staff in the hallway talking loudly, banging doors, room was ground level so the noise of scooters/cars close to the window, the blinds didn't block out the light well - pack ear plugs and an eye mask. Also, while the bed was very comfy, the metal legs on the bed were hard to see so my partner cut his toe on the bed leg (and I stubbed my toes twice). So beware the bed legs!

This is a fantastic hotel….breakfast and dinner exceptional….the whole ambiance of the hotel is something you will not regret trying out!

We are of an age where we have to get up several times during the night to relieve ourself….the room we had had a separate toilet however the bathroom and toilet were on opposite sides of the main sleeping area which meant that after you were finished in toilet you had to go past sleeping area and into bathroom to wash hands as there is no wash hand basin in the toilet…..something needs more thought! Other than this minor annoyance everything else was way beyond good/excellent!
