The Scandic Hotel is in a great location, just one block off the main pedestrian-drag. The breakfast was FANTASTIC--I'm talking, a huge table just for breads, huge table just for smörgås toppings, huge table just for pancakes and oatmeal and sausages and other eggs, and even a section with gluten free and dairy free choices. They also had a sauna (bastu) in the basement, though I was only there one night so I was not able to use it. There was plenty of room in the lobby area for sitting during the day or at night, if you wanted a more communal space to be instead of in your room.

The room felt a bit sterile. I think it was the lighting--kinda of more cold than warm toned. So very minor, but keeps the hotel from being a 10-start "amazing!" because it was lacking some warmth and charm. The bathroom was also a touch small, which was fine for me as a solo traveler, but I'm guessing for a couple, they would find it small. These are both tiny quibbles though. You're not supposed to be spending much time in your hotel when you're traveling! And parking is not included in the price, just FYI

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel offered one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. The location was very convenient for all attractions. The room was basic, but clean and more spacious than one would expect for this price. It was all over a very pleasant stay.

Service was very good, reception personnel was very friendly and really there to make your stay as comfortable as could be.

In some rooms there was a really annoying, low noise. Never heard that before and never had any trouble with noise before, so quite strange to me. But when notified at the reception, they immediately got me another room, so very well solved :)

The hotel was lovely. The breakfast choice was fabulous with a wide range of cold and cooked food. The rooms were lovely and clean, and the rain shower was blissful. The staff were extremely pleasant and couldn't have been any more helpful

Nothing, everything was perfect

The location was nice. The view from the 6th floor was pleasant. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was exceptional.

The windows didn't open completely, but only to a slit.

We loved the breakfast. Our room was nice with a bathtub (160 cm). The hotel is right in the centre, close to the hospital as well. Perfect for both: shopping and visit.

We had chosen the hotel because of a stay with bathtub. But this was not a fullsized bath, nice enough for a warm bath. Getting the key for the parking under the hotel was a little bit complicated, but ok.

Central location, breakfast was very good, can certainly recommend. Will stay again. Front desk was helpful in checking us in a bit early when we arrived. Nice!

One of our friend snores. I snore myself, so, it's not that. We're not talking about any normal human being snore. This is on a whole other level, we're talking moving furniture snoring. Had to rearrange the paintings and fasten screws on the sink and toilet before leaving. ;)

The breakfast buffet had a vast array of options each morning. All the staff in the hotel were very friendly. The hotel was located close to the major attractions of Uppsala.

Fist night of our booking we were placed in a smaller room than booked. The hotel gym was located in the basement without any natural outdoor night.
