The staff were friendly and provided good, efficient service,. The cooked breakfast was freshly prepared and was very tasty. The location of the hotel is excellent, close to shops, pubs and the promenade. Free parking at the rear of the hotel was a bonus.

The free Wi-Fi worked downstairs in the public areas, but there was no signal in my single room on the 2nd floor. Also the tv kept losing its signal, so the picture would freeze for a while. Fortunately I wasn't in my room that much, other than for sleeping, so this wasn't a big problem. The fire alarm went off at exactly the same time on two consecutive nights. Not sure whether this is a regular issue.

Being able to book at such short notice was wonderful and made a very stressful situation much more manageable. The room was cosy and clean which was just what I wanted.

I was unable to find the car park so ended up having to park elsewhere and walk. As it was a beautiful warm night, it didn't matter, but would have been different if it had been raining. Maybe a map or written directions could be issued with the room key e.g. pictures of the carpark on the website would also help to show what to look for. I was struggling to charge my phone, so some USB adapters / sockets in the room would have been helpful but appreciate both if these issues were my fault rather than that of the hotel.

The first room we were given was awful... a tiny, dark, low-ceiling room with a plug socket literally detached from the wall on one side. It had a sash window propped open with a large block of wood. It was truly awful. However.... I asked that evening if there was an alternative room available, and without any quibble, the guy on reception said he could allocate us a free upgrade on the next day to a new deluxe room for the remainder of our stay. True to his word, we were given a superb room for the rest of the week. To be fair, we've stayed many times before and been totally satisfied. And this free upgrade was a treat for us. So we will definitely book again next year. They were very fair with us. Although some guests might have put up with the first room, said nothing, and grumbled ever after. If you don't say anything, nothing changes.

Great location, welcoming and friendly staff. The room was clean and plenty of tea/coffee etc left for our use. The breakfast was great, you could have as much as you liked, although we stuck to an English breakfast first day and porridge second day. The car park is snug but such a benefit in the town centre; my husband has mobility issues and finding a hotel with parking is a rare!

The rooms at the front can be noisy; we were there freshers week after dropping off our daughter. They have a stream of young people walking to get taxis late into the night/early hours. Next time we would book a room at the back. It certainly wouldn’t stop us booking again!

Very clean, very helpful friendly staff Room 23 was lovely with huge roll top bath. It was convenient being able to nip up one set of back stairs rather than having to go up multiple winding flights inside Fabulous allowing our daughter and dog to join us for breakfast on the patio

Toilet made loud noises and bad smell in the night enough to wake us up but water board had been doing some work in the main road. The kitchen extraction system is right below bedroom window so a bit noisy when window closed it is quiet but we stayed on a really hot few days ( i know so lucky for Wales lol)

The location is perfect, right in the centre of town. The beds were very comfortable and I liked that the family room had separation between the double bed and single beds. The room and bathroom were very clean and well stocked, and the shower had good temperature and pressure. The staff are super friendly.

It was a little loud in our street-facing room. We had to keep a window open because it was very warm. The building is a bit of a labyrinth. Blackout curtains would be nice.

Smart front with welcoming crew. It was between the train station and the beach. Late booking. Beautifully presented breakfast buffet and tidy restaurant which was very clean. Nice local paintings on the wall but they haven't overdone a seaside theme. Reception.

Small single bed and difficult to manoeuvre round it where it was positioned in the room Top floor with a heavy bag. Rabbit warren, I was unsure about all the staircases. A lot of rooms packed in a small hotel. Busy bar and lots of men outside. The room itself was quiet and the bathroom was excellent. The other guests seemed very nice. Only one toilet roll, part used. Key hand back process needs tidying up. I don't like leaving a key on an unmanned desk so waited for a staff member. A small amount of street disturbance overnight. Safe at the back.

The hotel is situated in a brilliant location close to everything you want. The breakfast was lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and tidy.

Unfortunately the bed was a little uncomfortable. It was 2 singles together but they kept coming apart and our feet hung over the edge but we slept OK. The wallpaper in the bathroom was coming from the wall so could do with a revamp but it was still a lovely place just a few little bits that could do with being done up. Didn't affect our stay and we would stay again.

A budget hotel in the heart of Aberystwyth. Everything that you needed was there. It was clean and tidy and the checkin and out staff were friendly. I was offered a free breakfast even though I didn’t think it was part of the price. It had a car park at the rear which was great not to have to pay for parking. For the price I paid for the room I think it exceeded expectations.

There were a few bits that I could moan about and if I payed twice this price then I probably would. But at this price it was excellent value for money. I thought I might get bothered by the sound of the pub below. It I didn’t hear a sound.!!

Super friendly staff, room was perfect. Clean & slept great. Came with my adult daughter to visit son at uni. Location is ideal, plus having a private carpark was a massive bonus. Unfortunately missed breakfast, and given it was full continental & cooked was particularly disappointed. Have already decided that I will booking again next time I go to visit my son at uni. As will my daughter ( when she visits with her husband)
