I liked the sea view from our window.We had room 1 on the first floor and enjoyed hearing the sound of the sea, which was quite rough for the last days of our stay. Beautiful sunset from the window of our room. Our queen bed was big, clean with a good mattress for a good night sleep. We had a kettle in the room, complimentary bottles with water, tea, coffee and milk. The breakfast was very good. Cereals, selection of juice, fruits, gem and honey and also cooked breakfast with bacon, sausages, baked beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, fried eggs and toast. The breakfast room was down in the basement and the stairs were steep, not suitable for people with walking conditions. The hotel has a lift for one person which was useful to carry the luggage. We arrived early at the hotel and the check in being from 3pm we left the bags in the lounge. We did the same when we checked out, because our train was at 3:30 pm and the check out at the hotel was 10. Our room had a bathroom with a tub and a shower over the bath. It was a little tight to get in the bathroom, the door opens too close to the hand washing basin. Overall we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Both receptionists who we met during our stay were very nice and friendly. They booked us a taxi when we needed it. Thank you.

Friendly, helpful staff. A jacket got left behind; we arranged for DHL to pick it up and Emyr packaged it up very promptly for collection. The breakfast, in a large basement room, was very good, with a range of hot and cold choices. Good to have a bath, rather than just a shower. Great location on the northern end of the promenade, very close to the funicular railway (which is well worth taking).

Our room was three floors up (we booked at the last minute and the hotel was otherwise full, so we can't complain), and the one-person lift was a tad creaky.

The staff were very friendly and helpful going out of their way to help us with an electric heater, and called a Chinese for us too as we had no phone service. I think they upgraded us to a seafront room which was nice.

We were excited to get a bath as per the booking info but it was just a shower. The lift doesn’t work, the place is quite dirty when you look into it like cobwebs in every corner, it was cold and the plug situation in the room was frustrating, the lamp was temperamental, the orange juice was some sort of cheap concentrate, the eggs were strange - tasted like hard boiled but flat like fried, there was a fly on the jugs and fluff on the toast. It was fine overall given the price but it could have easily been improved.

We really enjoyed this hotel. Yes, it is old, but it's clear that it has been well cared for and they have tried to repair everything so that everything works. Everything worked for us: the shower worked, the window worked, the TV worked, there was hot water, and a very beautiful sea view. It's very pleasant in the morning to leave the window open and listen to the waves hitting the pier. The staff is very good, the food was delicious, and they took care of everyone to make sure everything was hot. I highly recommend this hotel; it is perfect for its price. Yes, it's not a luxurious hotel, but the price is very low.

A kink in the door should be replace for more solid one.

Staff were lovely. The room was spacious and the bed was so comfy. Everywhere was clean and tidy. The ensuite bathroom was big with a great shower. I missed breakfast as I decided to sleep in before my long journey.

There isn't much to dislike about this place. If I wanted to find fault, I'd have to go searching. Maybe that I wasn't told when breakfast was on my arrival and I asked a guest? But I could have asked on check in, so more a fault of my own.

Room was on ground floor perfect, a bed fit for a king - location was amazing sea, shops & things to do all on hand a stone’s throw away. Staff were lovely helpful too! Views were stunning.

Lift out of order, steps to breakfast was steep & dangerous no rail to support at top and as you come down low ceiling - Dad whose 80 had to crawl up as he is unsteady on his legs was not told about lift being out of order or that we had to go down a flight of stairs! AND devastating NO EGGS at breakfast 😡apparently waiting on delivery

Perfectly placed on the front, friendly staff, great breakfast and service,, and exceptional value for the price. Ideally based to walk the town, no restaurant but its a short walk to some great eateries. We had looked at the reviews so weren't sure what to expect, and yes it's not 5 star, but it's no where near that pricing, but we would certainly use it again because it does exactly what's needed, and warm too. Thankyou to all the team 😀

I and my husband like the veiw mountain at the back (stunning) eventhough we asked for a sea veiw on the booking. beds is comfy and room is quite big too.breakfast are good too.

the TV in our bedroom we didn't manage to work it out,the channels are so complicated, so at the end we didn't really watch TV..

Very nice.. rooms were very comfortable, facing the seafront stunning views...bar is basic, but does what u need... breakfast was lovely considering it was included in the overall price... stay away from the lift tho.. its for 1 person, however I did get stuck in there for 20mins and the super fireman came and rescued me as the lift was stuck mid-floor.... overall an amazing stay and would defo go again for son graduation

The location is right in front of the sea, travelled in November, very cheap at £49, got a very very warm family room as the heating was on all the time, bath included, liked so much decided to stay for another week. 😀😀😀

At the time the lift didn't work as there can be up to 6 floors to the highest room, and there was a poor internet signal at the time, maybe they should reset their router to update their router.
