The room was nicely appointed and very large didn’t look tired either.

Guests upstairs were bang doors to close them or didn’t know how to . The floor was very noisy from above. The room was very warm with no fan as described it was a fan heater. Had to open the windows instead . Which would normally be fine. But the pub downstairs was very noisy till late. The street outside was also very noisy with cars speeding down it and drunks messing about.

The room I booked was absolutely huge and had space for a full family. I was nervous before check-in because the hotel is located above a bar, but the management has done an excellent job of designing an experience of making hotel guests feel isolated from the bar patronage.

There wasn't much not to like, the location is great and rooms are huge!

The room was lovely. Clean and comfortable and nicely decorated. The room was very welcoming and made for a pleasant stay.There was a beautiful stairwell leading to the room and a side entrance to the hotel so that you didn't have to go through the bar. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was really good, just a short walk to the beach and the shops...

The only negative was that there was a step in the room by the door. It was a little dangerous in the night.

I love the bar and entertainment we had a drag queen one night and it was very funny and entertaining

Parking is street parking only with a lot of yellow and a double yellow lines. It was like a battle royale for parking 🅿️

It was so close to the water. Just a quick jaunt. Nice size room. Had hot chocolate. Bed was comfy. It included a bathrobe, nice clean shower, a small heater, and really nice working space.

Not being from the UK, I didn't know how the lights worked. But once I figured it out (it was a disco with me turning the lights on and off), it was well lit.

Rooms are obviously recently refurbished, large and well furnished with lovely bathroom. Room 2 is the best with a sea view and window seat. We considered going out for breakfast but decided to take their in room breakfast option which was amazing value, beautifully presented and very generous - not to be missed!

Entrance was rather off putting - no obvious entry point and you walk into a large (& empty at 4pm) bar. Was concerned that the rooms might be a little run down but this was not an issue at all

The staff were wonderful and polite and the room was very spacious with everything we needed. As the room was over the bar we were a little concerned about noise but we didn't need to be. The view was wonderful and the bed was really comfy so it made for a really pleasant stay and we were really pleased that we chose the Castle Hotel to stay at.

If we left the room for some time and came back the electric in the room - lights, TV, sockets - kept turning off every 5 minutes or so but that may have been down to us not doing something and then after about the 5th time it would stay on! When we arrived we thought it was closed as the doors were locked and lights out until exactly the book in time of 3pm and we didn't expect it as it is also a bar and no mention of this in the details They aren't doing food other than a small breakfast of toast and cereal which was a little disappointing, however, hopefully this is just due to the recent pandemic lockdown being lifted and getting back on their feet.

The Castle Hotel was clean and tidy the double room was clean and tidy the only down fall was you could not open the windows so this made the room very stuffy and very hot at night

Comfy beds good shower great hotel but a bit pricey for just 3 nights… it’s a fair walk to shops and pubs etc but I didn’t have an issue, overall loved my stay👍🏻

We had a great stay at the Castle hotel. Really friendly welcome from the staff and very helpful around leaving and picking up our bags. The hotel itself was full of character and the room was very comfortable. Great Location and close to the beach. The breakfast was also amazing and brought to your room. Would recommend
