The room was spacious and had everything we needed. It’s not the most modern design but it was perfectly comfortable. The view from the seafront room was perfect. We spent hours sitting in the bay windows watching the sea and reading books. It was bliss. The staff were great. They really looked after us during check in/out, breakfast, meals and for housekeeping too. It was one of the best holidays I’ve had in ages because everything was easy and taken care of. I could truly relax. In the evenings, we could relax in the room and watch Netflix on the TV or head to the bar for a few drinks if we wanted to. The location was perfect. The main area of town was only a 10 minute walk with great restaurants and pubs (highly recommend Bottle and Barrel if you like beer, Ultra Comida for Spanish food, Yr Almanac for cocktails and Carys’s Angolino for amazing lunches). The Glengower also does great food! I will definitely be back.

There isn’t any parking at the hotel but they make that clear on their site. However there’s a council car park a few streets behind which is a 2 minute walk from the hotel.

The room was very comfortable with a generous sized Bathroom en suite. Supplies for making hot drinks were refreshed daily, and if you needed a top up before then, a member of staff at Reception was happy to help. There was also a fresh individual bottle of mineral water replaced each day and a packet of biscuits, likewise. Whilst I didn't have a Seaview, I wasn't disappointed as I knew before I arrived that this was most likely the case. I didn't have lunch or dinner at the Hotel, but the Breakfasts were excellent with juices, cereals, porridge and various cooked Breakfast options. Everything was clean and well looked after and there was little if any noise, considering there was what seemed to be a popular bar and restaurant downstairs.

As other guests have mentioned, if you are staying on the 3rd Floor - like I was - it is a bit inconvenient to climb all the stairs each time you go to your room. Particularly awkward with a suitcase, although I was offered a hand on my arrival. It is a shame that there is no lift, but I can understand why this is not possible. It might be advisable to check what floor your room is on beforehand, as it could be a real problem for someone who is elderly or with mobility issues.

The Room was large and comfortable and the bathroom was nice, the shower worked well. The breakfasts were great. The evening meals were nice but you have to book in advance as its popular. The location of the room with a lovely sea view was nice too.

There is no lift so being on the third floor, the last flight was always the hardest, but the views were good and the room was high enough so you couldn't hear noise from the people outside the pub. It would have been good if there had been dedicated parking as you have to take pot luck. Other than that it was a lovely stay and I would recommend it to friends and family

Really fabulous inn with a wonderful restaurant with a water view. The room was spacious, the breakfast generous and delicious (with lot of variety). The restaurant serves delicious food as well. Perfect place to read a book by the lovely picture window facing the water or take a stroll along the boardwalk. Very cozy and welcoming. Very professional staff as well. Highly recommend!

The location has no public transportation and a 10-15 minute walk from town (about 20 minutes from the university). Taxes are difficult to get unless the inn calls for one. Not a whole lot of things to do in town, but it is still a wonderful place to stay if you are staying in Aberswyth.

Tastefully decorated (in the bar/restaurant and bedrooms); relaxed evening meal with good service and dog-friendly; great breakfast with helpful efficient staff. The rooms were immaculate and high quality with a long mirror, refreshments and spare blanket. My mother had a seafront room with a beautiful view. I had a back room which looked out at the hills (there was some scaffolding which didn't bother me at all).

The bathroom mirrors in both my room and my mother's were too high to see our heads; they were an interesting port-hole design, but it would be better to have a long one to suit short and tall people. It would be useful for any Welsh-speaking staff to wear the 'Dw i'n siarad Cymraeg' badge or lanyard, so customers know which staff they can Welsh to (my other favourite Aber hotel uses Welsh / English automatically so customers don't have to ask if they speak it). There is no lift which makes it difficult for people with mobility problems, pushchairs and suitcases. The absence of lift is the only reason I gave 9/10, instead of 10/10.

The hotel is perfectly situated on the promenade with exceptional views of the sea and nearby cliffs. The exterior of the building has just been painted and the pub looks gorgeous. As the scaffolding was still up when we arrived (and was taken down during our stay) we were offered the option to cancel our trip or to receive a generous voucher, as compensation for this inconvenience, entitling us to money off our food and drinks bill at the hotel. This was a very kind gesture and made our stay even more enjoyable. All of the staff, without exception, were super friendly and eager to do anything to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.

What's not to like? it was fabulous in every way...

The bed was extremely comfortable but could have done with extra pillows but not a major problem. Our shower was hot and powerful, the room was warm too. The evening meal in the restaurant was hot and plentiful and table service was excellent and quick. breakfast (full) was hot and filling, table service was again excellent and quick. The staff always had a smile and warm welcome and very accommodating. If there was a downside it would be the view as there was scaffolding outside the window but for one night who cares.

The staff, friendly and always smiling, nothing was too difficult.

Lovely atmosphere. Nicely finished rooms, lovely breakfast and attentive staff.

The parking was slightly inconvenient. I parked on the main promenade but was told I wouldn't be able to leave my car there for the duration of my stay. I struggled to find a spot elsewhere in the town to leave my car. I was also placed on the 3rd floor so having had to walk a distance for my car and then walk up three flights of stairs, it wasn't as relaxing as I'd hoped. However the hotel itself is fab. Just parking I wasn't too impressed with.

Nice warm welcome. Lovely big modern room, large bathroom. genuine seafront view (unfortunate it was Misty). Comfy bed. Ate dinner one night, good selection of pub grub, very tasty burger/chicken Milanese.

Parking not as easy as would have liked. Could do with hooks for towels or handrails for getting into the shower. And cracked bath side/odd paint scuff affects overall effect of looking modern. No nets/screening on the windows - while appreciated they’re not to everyone’s cup of tea, with being this close to people outside, could probably do with an option

Breakfast (included in the price) was generous and quickly served. Room was very comfortable and quiet. Staff were helpful and cheerful. The downstairs of the hotel is a popular and well-run pub-restaurant, with good inside and outside seating, which is a plus.

Although the hotel is next to the sea, our particular room didn't have a view (we knew this in advance so it's not a complaint!. The shower base was too slippery for a slightly wobble elderly person (me), although we apparently could have borrowed a suitable map, but we didn't know it.
