Location is superb with plenty of on street parking available. Every requirement is anticipated, and fridge provided. The free minibar & snacks was a lovely touch and restocked daily. Bed very comfortable and shower was very good too. Cleaning staff were very helpful and friendly.

Breakfast was good but the service a little inconsistent. Excellent on our first day, (shout out to Jacob) but disappointing on our last. When ordering fruit salad & yoghurt followed by a cooked breakfast, you don’t expect them to be served up all together at the same time. Also the ‘cocktails’ were disappointing - the passion fruit martini is described as Passoa passion fruit liqueur, passion fruit pulp and vanilla vodka, however what was served was a bought in Funkin’ cocktail from a carton - definitely not worth the £9 charged. Only minor issues though as on the whole it was excellent.

The accommodation comprises just six rooms immediately opposite the Hive restaurant where breakfast is taken. We chose ‘Pen Cei ‘, a ground floor bedroom. The room was very light and airy courtesy of three sash windows around the room. Everything is top quality with custom built furniture, comfortable bed, very well equipped with complementary mini bar/snacks. Bathroom quite small but good quality toiletries and great shower. Breakfast is selected from a menu with no limit on what you order and was excellent. Free parking available on the street adjacent to the townhouse or on the central car park, two minutes’ walk from the accommodation. Overall, this was a very pleasant stay in a lovely part of the world.

We did have a small issue with cleaning on the second day with drinks and snacks not replenished and bins not emptied but this was quickly rectified by staff from the restaurant. There is a lot of building work around the marina located close by but this did not detract from our stay.

The Townhouse was located very well in the heart of Aberaeron, on the harbour. It was peaceful during our stay in early May. I liked the GHD hairdryer. Fresh milk in the fridge with tea and coffee maker, is always very welcome. Good spacious shower. I liked having table service for breakfast.

There isn't a reception area within the building where the bedrooms are located. Breakfast is served in the building across the road. Neither of these points made a huge difference to us but I guess if it was lashing down with rain or if you had a query you'd normally pop to reception for, then could be inconvenient. The bed was on the small side.

The managers who work at the Hive gave us a great welcome . The room was beautifully furnished with radio and TV and a walkin shower on the ground floor.Also two complementary tokens for honey ice cream at the Hive Restaurant opposite where we had a fantastic breakfast that lasted us all day! The surprise Welsh hospitality was a real coffee machine with fresh milk and complementary drinks in the fridge. Thank you

Sadly at this time the Harbour is being refurbished so woken at 8am. Great for those wanting to watch diggers, cranes and dumper trucks in action. Of course not the fault of the Hive

The Hive exceeded our expectations in all regards. We travel frequently and this was among one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. Aga was exceedingly helpful, from checking us into our room to serving us at the restaurant. We have never stayed at a place that was so giving with its ammenities. The room had a bountiful mini-bar and the breakfast was superb. The room itself was immaculately clean and well-appointed. It was obvious it was designed with travelers in mind. We especially appreciated the convenient outlets and light switches located on each side of the best. The bathroom was clean, towels luxurious, and bed comfortable. Free parking is available at a public lot a block away from the townhouses. I can’t recommend this property highly enough!!

Totally beyond the hotel’s control, but there is an extensive construction project for the harbor adjacent to the hotel and restaurant.

We arrived just before lunch and were able to park just outside the front door, we went across to the Hive restaurant for coffee and mentioned that we were staying in the townhouse and a lovely lady informed us that the room was ready if we wanted to check into the room, the room was lovely with music playing and the log effect fire was also on, what a lovely experience, the room was spotless, couldn't ask for better..we also had some drinks and snacks provided in the mini bar, another lovely touch.all the staff were fantastic and made us feel welcomed. Breakfast was in the Hive restaurant in the morning across the road and that was also excellent ..couldn't fault anything , we also had evening meal on one night at the Hive and it was one of the best burgers I've ever had..thanks

The accommodation was super. Staff exceptional in both attentiveness and manner.

Our room was on the top floor and exceptional hot, even with a fan. Due to the location and building work it isn't possible to sleep with the window open. However, the weather isn't something they could control. The details on Booking.com confirmation state that the ongoing building works were until April 2025 whilst the establishment make it clear that they are still ongoing so an update for potential customers is needed.

We were welcomed to our room which was one of the most beautiful rooms I’ve stayed in. The radio was already on which was a nice welcome. Speciality teas and coffee machine and complimentary bar with water, beers and cocktails included. The room was decorated beautifully. The bath was stunning - copper bath. Shower room with high end hand wash etc provided. We had the best stay. The breakfast at The Hive over the road was exceptional - great selection available and both mornings, the breakfast was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back again! Exceptional!!

Absolutely beautiful room and stay. The view from the room even with the harbour work going on is beautiful. Our room was clean and spacious with everything you need and more. Well stocked complementary mini bar and snack station, hair dryer, coffee machine, toiletries and lots of extra bits like toothpaste and toothbrush. Great host who even contacted us before our original booking to allow us to move the dates due to weather warnings in place that weekend. Beautiful breakfast We also had our evening meal at the hive restaurant which was also great Highly recommend and we will be back and stay longer next time.

We stayed in Belle Vue room - absolutely beautiful with lovely views across the water. Very clean and comfortable with everything we needed and wanted, including refreshments, toiletries, and fast wifi. Even a free ice cream! Included breakfast was varied and great quality in the lovely Hive restaurant over the road. Free parking available in the harbour carpark <100m away. Can easily walk around the town and along the coast path from the Townhouse. Staff were very kind and helpful. Overall a fantastic stay and we will definitely be back.

Absolutely no fault of the Hive Townhouse, but worth being aware that there are currently building works going on in the harbour and street outside (due to be finished by early 2025) which can be loud in the morning from about 7.30, and may disturb you if you want to enjoy a lie in.
