We had a fantastic stay at the Ship Inn. Our room came with a balcony overlooking the sea with amazing views. The room was well-equipped with everything we could possibly need. We dined at the hotel for both dinner and breakfast, and each meal was delicious and affordable. Every member of staff we met was friendly and accommodating. One of the highlights was spotting a pod of dolphins right from our bedroom window. Tresaith itself is a stunning spot, with a beautiful beach just steps away. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.

While the bathroom could use a touch of modernisation, it doesn’t detract from the overall experience.

Really enjoyed our stay here, the staff were absolutely wonderful and it's a great price given the location right on the beach. It's a perfect dog friendly experience. The room was very clean and comfortable. I do agree with some comments that it's due some maintenance but only a very little- there were a couple of patches of bubbled/peeling plaster around our window but it really wasn't something that affected our stay- for transparency though yes we can confirm we saw that. Personally we just felt it was just due usual routine maintenance and not a sign of neglect or lack of care.

The hotel rooms overlook the ocean and a small beach that was wonderful to wander up and down on. At night, we could hear the waves rushing ashore. Breakfast and dinner, we ate at the restaurant that is part of the hotel and it was AMAZING. Staff was friendly, took a moment to chat when possible and took care of us wonderfully. When parking proved a bit difficult (small parking lot shared between hotel guests and restaurant patrons as well as staff with no street parking permitted by law), the owner moved her own car to create space for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights at this location (we were traveling all across the UK for a 4 week honeymoon).

This is nothing the hotel owner has any control over but as mentioned above, parking is very limited in the area and street parking is not permitted by law.

Comfortable spacious room overlooking the beach. Quality bedding & towels, great shower, really helpful staff & super dog friendly. Great breakfast cooked to order from quality ingredients. Milk from a jug & real butter for your toast. The glass fronted restaurant overlooks the sea with stunning views There was a varied menu for evening meals which we sampled over 5 nights & were all excellent.

Some drawers in the bedroom would be very useful.

The location is perfect. The staff were so lovely especially Hayley who was fantastic and looked after us throughout our whole stay. The gentleman working on Sunday night was also super helpful and lovely. The staff and Hayley in particular made us feel at home. The room had the best view of the sea

It needs some TLC - the shower tray was leaking and needs resealing and the skirting boards quite grubby and in need of attention in the room. It was noisy in the mornings but it’s an old building so this can’t be helped

Excellent service from the staff plus the location is outstanding.

The pubs food offering is somewhat constrained by offering the Marstons standard menu. Hence the opportunity to use locally sourced food is very limited. The pub is 100m from the beach and suspect offering frozen fish plus the menu boasts of sourcing their steaks from Brazil. That said the food was good, but I think that Marstons need to think a bit more seriously around sourcing locally and backing British farming.

Seafront with nice sea views. Comfortable room. Nice food in the restaurant. Pleasant staff

There were a couple of miscommunications. They hadn't responded to my advance booking request and therefore we didn't have a table reservation.they said they don't always receive messages through b.com, although we'd receive an automated response. Luckily they were able to fit us in, as the restaurant was very busy The service in the restaurant was also a bit hit and miss. For example our food order arrived before our drinks and a dessert was left waiting on the counter for a long time before it was delivered.

Right by a lovely beach and all rooms have a sea view. Everything you need is there. I’d love to just get in the car again and roll up for a relaxing break - with food being served and toiletries provided, you can actually just come as you are

A little bit of mould I the shower. It would have been great to have a hose by the Dog Bar to wash the sand off the dogs. The shower down by the beach is really difficult to use with dogs as you need an arm to keep it pressed on, and another to hold the dogs, so you can’t really get them clean.

Beautiful location right by the beach. Hayley was the perfect host. Lovely breakfast and reasonable food menu for an evening meal.

We were lucky to park. When you book a table for food you have to vacate so then struggle to be able to have a drink seated elsewhere. Expensive drinks. No simple lunchtime menue with sandwitches for example, we arrived but didn't want a big meal at 1.30pm when we were booked for food at 6.30pm. I wouldn't attempt to stay in peak season. Also, hospitality tray very poor, two teabags for two people for two nights not enough!!

The location of the pub is amazing!! we actually watched dolphins from the terrace dining area. All the staff were so friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful. The room we had looked straight onto the bay and had a small balcony. The bed was extremely comfortable and there was always hot water.

We didn’t really find anything to dislike except perhaps for the guest entrance which was a steep staircase outside the building but it was always possible to go in and out through the pub which is easy.
