Our stay at Penbontbren was fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we were delighted by the beautiful grounds and the lovely property, which had everything we could possibly need. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we both slept like babies every night. The little terrace facing the garden was the perfect spot to enjoy a cuppa or a glass of wine, and the peace and quiet of the surroundings were exactly what we needed to unwind. And on clear nights, the stargazing was incredible – we could see thousands of stars twinkling above. The hosts, Kathryn and Richard, were friendly and attentive, genuinely interested in getting to know us and ensuring we were happy during our stay. They gave us lots of great recommendations for local beaches and places to eat - we particularly enjoyed The Plwmp Tart! The breakfast was delicious, with locally sourced ingredients that showcased the best of Welsh produce. And let's not forget Pip, the lovely friendly dog who welcomed us with a wagging tail every time we returned to the property! 🐾 The location was ideal, with beautiful beaches just a short drive away. We particularly loved Penbryn beach, which is run by the National Trust and had a stunning stretch of golden sand. Overall, Penbontbren was the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway in beautiful surroundings. Amazing property, really well-equipped with a lovely atmosphere. There are beautiful gardens which are wonderful for a stroll. The rooms and breakfast was wonderful. The owners of the B&B are lovely and we really enjoyed meeting them and the visit. We would love to visit again and highly recommend this place for a tranquil peaceful stay in a place with lots of nature.

The room was lovely and spacious, with a very comfortable bed. The complimentary fresh milk and mini Welsh cakes were lovely. The owners were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was lovely as well. There was a good balcony area with access into a pleasant garden area. A good sized kitchenette was available.

I really enjoyed the space we stayed in , lots of attention to detail , it had a very calming presence.

The host s were so lovely and friendly , they really did help us find some amazing places to eat and visit , They also went above and beyond to help us in our house search , the reason for our stay , in fact we added an extra night , it was so relaxing I didn’t want to go home .

The accommodation was superb, spotlessly clean, well laid out, spacious and very comfortable. The attention to detail in the rooms was exceptional and the complimentary Welsh Cakes delicious. The setting was wonderful and very peaceful.

Breakfast was wonderful, however I would have liked larger pieces of toast!!

Surroundings quiet with lovely gardens to stroll around. The bedroom, kitchenette and large lounge were comfortable and beautifully decorated. Lovely choice of delicious breakfasts.

Lovely property in the heart of mid-Wales. Having an electric charging point at the property was great as it meant that we didn’t have “range anxiety”!

Every detail has been thought about. The hosts are the loveliest people. The rooms are beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was superb with an excellent choice and fabulously well prepared. The grounds are extensive and just lovely to wander in.

Cooked breakfast was excellent; the muesli was good, the toast average. Coffee was plentiful. It was great having the peacefulness and the views of the countryside, and the amazingly large grounds, against which one has to set the access down a narrow lane, and the distance from eating establishments (none walkable).

A trivial point, but towels were not changed daily (absolutely NO problem with that!), BUT they were neatly folded while still damp - not ideal. Need to leave them as we had left them, to dry.

Stayed in a spacious suite with private terrace overlooking lovely gardens with far reaching views. Set in a very peaceful rural location. Everything in the room you would need for a comfortable stay. Really good breakfast.

There was an attic room above our accommodation with very creaky floors. It was pretty noisy when the guests staying there were moving about which was quite annoying, especially in the early morning.
