Sion and Sandra were lovely hosts. Really nice couple, polite, honest, hard working and welcoming! Highly recommend you stay here! The Inn was easy to find, with off-road parking. Nice shown brickwork in the bar. Breakfast and Evening meals were really nice, fresh, full of flavour and taste, portions were decent. Thank you Sandra. Lovely wood fire in the bar, Sion kept the fire going for us and we had some great laughs, chats and games to play, much appreciated. Thank you Sion. Our cottage we stayed in was beautiful, nice seating area, underfloor heating was a nice touch, slept well, it was very quiet. Nice rainfall shower downstairs and upstairs. It was very clean. Plenty of plates and cutlery. Unfortunate part was when we had to leave your wonderful inn. Didn't want to go home. We will miss you. Thank you both for everything you did for us. 🙏

I didn't want a full breakfast, but I had what I asked for and it was great, as was my supper snack the night before. Very warm and friendly staff, lovely old-fashioned pub vibe (local feel, real fire, comfy furnishings) with enough modernisation to meet today's expectations re facilities. The ensuite room was very clean and comfortable with good wifi. My room was above the bar so you could hear activity there, but I like that. Quieter rooms are available.

This may have just been my room, but the only feasible work surface was too high for me to use. I'm sure they'd have found me a higher chair if I'd asked.

Breakfast in the pub was superb and hosts were fantastic! Catered for our needs and went over and above for us. Friendly atmosphere in a lovely location. The locals were also very welcoming. Comfortable accommodation, warm and clean with almost everything provided to make your stay feel like a home from home.

We had some difficulty with the WiFi but that was likely more to do with stormy weather and the location in rural Wales - the hosts reset when alerted and all worked again!

The location was very convenient for us because we were travelling by car and visiting family at a nearby campsite, but I think this location is good for visiting Newcastle Emlyn too or exploring the hills and coast. The owners are wonderful people and we really enjoyed chatting to them and appreciated the skill and creativity they have brought to bear on restoring and decorating this fascinating building. The breakfast was beautifully presented and utterly delicious... I wish I had taken the opportunity to have an evening meal there, but hopefully there will be another opportunity soon.

There was nothing I didn't like and nothing to criticise, but it is important to bear in mind that due the character of this beautiful old property, the rooms are only accessible via steep narrow stairs... (but it is only a short flight of stairs). Also, the rooms while nicely decorated, are not particularly spacious, but we enjoyed spending time downstairs in the cosy bar anyway.

The property is even better than the photos with two lovely spacious bedrooms and two clean bathrooms and all the facilities you’d expect in a kitchen. Our stay was super comfortable and the host were ever so lovely and accommodating even though it was a late checkin. The location is quiet even though it’s on the main road and had plenty car park space too. We can’t fault this place at all!

Hosts are amazing. Made to feel really welcome. Couldn’t do more for you. Motorcycle parking pretty secure (be 100% if we could squeeze them in the garage 😜). Great location for a stop over for a brief motorcycle trip through wales. Cottage on site which can accomdoate a dog so will be back with the Mrs and the pooch at some point. Evening meal and breakfast were lovely

There wasn’t anything I disliked. Room was a little compact, especially the en-suite so if you were on large or tall side this maybe an issue. Not for me as only a shorty.

Conveniently situated on a main A road, this quietly unassuming property is ideal for touring the area. The hosts are two of the most helpful, friendly and engaging people I have ever met. All meals are cooked using locally sourced quality ingredients and there is a good variety of options. Decent variety of drinks in the smallish bar area which is also frequented by welcoming local people. My room, though quite small, had a comfortable bed, tea/coffee making facilities, en-suite toilet and efficient shower and everything else needed for a comfortable stay. I have travelled extensively in the UK and this is one of the few places that I have genuinely not wanted to leave.

From my viewpoint there was no down-side to this property.

This was my second stay at Afon Duad which has been 11 nights in total. It is everything an Inn should be. Good food which is locally sourced. Room was small (as advertised) but was comfortable and included everything needed. Bar was well-stocked and reasonably priced. Adequate free on-site parking. The hosts, Sandra & Sean are a credit to the Inn and the local community.

This was my second visit, so no complaints.

Not applicable as we were visiting the temple and breakfast was provided after the religious rituals were finished. The only disappointment was it rained a lot but it brightened up when we leaving to get back home 🙂

The weather of course as we dressed up for the occasion. The location of the temple was too far in and the road coming in and out was very narrow.

Breakfast was excellent and plenty of it. Unlimited toast and coffee and a full English. I had a vegetarian breakfast and they put extras on the plate for me. The evening meal was restaurant quality and homemade on the day. Excellent portions so didn't try the pudding as I was full. Drinks at the bar were excellent value. Very good shower and the room and bathroom were extremely clean. Service was excellent and the landlords are extremely friendly. They offered to give me a lift to places as I was carless. Overall this is an excellent venue with excellent service and very friendly people. Will definitely stay again,
