Comfortable bed. Fan in the room. Friendly staff. Convenient location. Generous towels. Biscuits and bottled water as well as coffee making facilities. Good value for money.

No available ironing facilities for guests. No table on one side of the bed. Our room was small. No lift. Kitchen had noisy extractor fan. Poor communication between staff. I left my key at reception for my husband, but when he arrived they just lent him one. Then they were locking up early ( on a Saturday night) and called us to say we didn’t have a key ( because they hadn’t given it to him and he thought I had it), so he had to leave the event we were at to retrieve it. The person running breakfast was also checking people out. She was working extremely hard and was efficient and cheerful, but it seemed quite a challenging role.

The location was great, bed was very comfortable, room was very clean, tea and coffee making facilities in room. Hotel was very quiet, I slept very well. Room was bigger than expected. Shower pressure was fantastic and toiletries were provided. Towels were very fluffy. I didn't try any food but the menu was very good value for money.

Decor was very tired although clean, wardrobe door broken, net curtains torn, unable to open window for fresh air. I paid prior to my stay online, however after checking out I was called and emailed several times to tell me I had not paid, this was resolved by me sending a receipt for my payment but did put a dampener on the experience.

The room was clean, and the bed was very comfy. The food was delicious and there was a good choice. Breakfast was also very tasty. Staff were friendly and very accommodating. A rally took place the weekend we stayed, and we were phoned beforehand to be warned that it was coming through the hotel premises and given the chance to cancel, which we didn't.

My only criticisms would be about the bathroom which was quite compact and if you're not skinny then the proximity of the toilet between the bath and wall was challenging, shower pressure wasn't great and the bathroom door didn't shut very well.

Lovely spacious room with lots of storage. Free ample parking. Very friendly and efficient staff.

There was an issue with the chef which the staff were doing there best to sort. The food was lovely but choices were limited. At breakfast saw no yoghurt, no orange juice, no brown bread and no decaf coffee. By the time we left there was no steak, curry or salad for the evening menu and no specials, in fact at one point they were not going to open in the evening on the last night but luckily someone stepped in. Hopefully that issue should be sorted soon.

The meals,the presentation wonderful ,the service,cleanliness all great. Staff very helpful and pleasant . The history of the building. Would definitely come back here to stay longer in room 108. Loved having a very hot bath after travelling to hotel .complimentary toilettries were great. Nice tv on wall positioned great to watch from massive bed and another smaller bed across from room . Put radiator on yourself to suit your needs. Fab having a central lounge area to go to on upper level if wanted to meet up with family ,friends. Location perfect. Would stay again when visiting lampeter .Thank you to all staff for making our first time stay fabulous.

Excellent breakfast, freshly cokked to a high standard. Staff were polite and helpful.

The bar/downstairs area of the hotel seemed to shut down quite early. There was an upstairs lounge, but that was not as comfirtable as the downstairs sofas and tables. We were initially given a room that did not match the description of the room that I'd been provided. This was changed on request, but should have been right first time. Our first night evening meal had had two coffees added. As we were not initially provided with an itemised bill for the meal, this was not obvious. Again this was rectified when challenged. Small errors like this are a bit frustrating. I do not want to have to keep checking that things are as they should be.

Hotel was in the centre of Lampeter, we’d booked a dog friendly room and received a lovely welcome from the staff as did the dogs. The staff were helpful and exceptionally friendly throughout our stay and our dogs received treats and a lot of fuss. Room was large and very clean. Nicely decorated. Bed was in large and very comfortable. Very nice bath too, with lots of hot water. Breakfast in the restaurant was amazing and we had dinner one of the nights which was great too. On the whole, a great stay, will definitely stay again when in the area.

Minor points. Shower mixer needs attention, was difficult to get temp right. Attention to some details in the room like the net curtains and wardrobe had seen better days.

We stayed here a while ago and were very impressed with the upgrade to the hotel which has given the place a much needed refresh while maintaining its old coaching inn charm. Our room was spacious and had a bath as well as a shower and a proper size television. Everywhere was clean and all the staff we met and spoke to were cheerful and polite. Breakfast was cooked fresh to order lots of choices and very tasty.

Nothing really but if I had to be picky it would be the bed was a little too soft for my personal preference.

I ALWAYS stay here when I come to visit family. They are an incredible team and whenever I may of had issues due to loa ruins within the hotel they have never had an issue and moved me to a more comfortable suit. I’m a sensitive to sound person! I always feel annoying but they never make me feel that way! Would recommend 100% and when it comes to value! You won’t get better! And they only use local meat to support the farmers!!! GOOD ON THEM!!! Great stay! As always!

Friendly, comfy, clean all of it!

Very comfortable and historic hotel with pleasant friendly staff. We had breakfast and evening meals during our 2 day stay and both were good. The hotel is centrally situated in Lampeter with easy access to the town on foot and to other parts of mid-Wales by car or bus. There is a good sized car park at the back and we had no trouble with parking.

Our room was on the second floor, which was quite a hike with luggage as there is no lift. Our double bed was pushed up against the wall of the bedroom which meant that one of us had to climb over to get into bed. Not ideal!
