The Evangelisa is centrally located, within walking distance to where we needed to be to meet up with an old friend whom we've not seen for 30 years. Most importantly for us, this lovely boutique hotel is SO welcoming to dogs. We have one very anxious dog as well as one elderly dog, so they were both happy with the general peace and quietness of the accommodation. The owners were very friendly and unobtrusive but always there when needed. The bed, pillows and duvet were clean and extremely comfortable. There was everything we needed, including the use of the dining room anytime we wanted - prior to the visit, we fretted about taking our anxious dog into a restaurant, but being able to eat our takeaway meals in the dining room solved that problem. If our review tempts you to stay at the Evangelisa, we advise you to visit their website and read their comprehensive guide for guests, or contact the owners directly if you have any questions about the stay. You won't be disappointed.

Having an ensuite shower is very convenient, but the hand basin was quite small so unfortunately, we splashed water on the wall and floor every time we washed our hands and faces - maybe we're just clumsy. With all things considered though, we'd rather have a small one than none at all, especially in a modest sized double room. So this should not be viewed as a negative.

Very nice hosts indeed. Welcoming, helpful and great communicators. Easy check in and was given a key to creep in late. Breakfast was delicious. You get a card with an amazing choice of cooked and continental to order at a specific time. I was looking forward to welsh bacon and I was not disappointed. Good system. No wasted food. Thoroughly approve. I had to leave the room really early first morning so did not want breakfast. Made the most of it second morning. Comfy bed and lovely linen. Small sofa in room. Big mirror and hairdryer. Great boiling water machine for tea. All very well organised. Pembroke room has a small bathroom but all was great for one person. Thank you.

A warm welcome and a lovely room. Very thoughtful touches in the room and superb tea/coffee making facilities. Bed was comfortable with a good quality duvet. Breakfast choice was very good and you can order exactly what you want the night before. No parking but you can park in the main town car park (well lit) for just over £5 for 24 hours and was only a 5/10 min walk to the property. *You could drop bags off first.

The breakfast, providing the usual full Welsh breakfast and also delicious Welsh cockles and lava cake, was excellent. The host was so friendly, helpful and professional; the cleanliness in both the bedroom and dining room was superb. In all it was a very comfortable room and very good food. The location, in High Street, was very convenient for shopping, drinking and eating. Thank you.

Convenient location in central Lampeter. Overnight parking literally outside the front door. Tasty breakfast cooked fresh to order. Very warm welcome from Angela, the host. Excellent tea and coffee choice in room. Fresh milk plus mini fridge.

We were in a room at the top of the house. Water flow in shower could have been better and if you have the window open there is some noise from occasional lorries passing through in the early hours.

Beautiful property with everything you could need in the room. Great hot drink selection,comfy bed and breakfast was divine! Angela the owner was so friendly and helpful and really has thought of everything to make your stay a pleasure. We would definitely stay here again. Don’t be put off that the property is on the road. It was very quiet and we parked easily.

The location couldn't have been better. It was right in the town centre. Easy access to restaurants and shops as well as a supermarket. The breakfast was outstanding. You ordered what you wanted and therefore there was no waste. We had cooked vegetarian and a Welsh breakfast with cockles and laverbread (seaweed) and it was superb. The beacon was a proper thick Bacon with a little bit of fat, but not much, not salty and tasted great. The vegetarian came with really nice veggie sausage and bacon made from soya/pea protein. The rooms were top notch, a lot of attention to detail, clean and very nicely decorated. A nice touch were also the USB sockets by the bedside sockets.

We got a very warm welcome from Angela the landlady. This was a perfect location for the wedding we were attending. The room was very comfortable and clean. We had a tea AND a coffee making machine in our room, with good selection of teas and coffees, option of fresh milk or sachets of milk. The breakfast was superb with a wide choice to choose from.

The Evangelisa in Lampeter is a really lovely place to stay. Easy to find, easy to check in, great atmosphere of warmth and friendliness whilst also respectful. And quiet, and calm. Hot running water, clean room, lovely furnishings - the bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in. I would most certainly recommend them for anybody staying in the area.

Very friendly welcome, flexible check-in, beautiful room, full of character and very comfortable bed, delicious breakfast. Lots of thoughtful touches and useful local info provided. Really convenient for bus stop and central Lampeter. Loved the promotion of Cymru and Welsh culture throughout.
