The food, outdoor seating and size of the room was great. Beautiful surroundings. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Sauna facilities. Good Wi-Fi connection.

Improvements could be made to: Gym facilities: these were poor (treadmill doesn’t work) and it doesn’t open until 9am, so couldn’t go before work. Sound proofing: I could hear someone in the neighbouring room plugging something into the power socket. The shower also screeched loud so I was concerned about waking others on my floor. On the contrary, there was a wedding on whilst I stayed, with a DJ in the conservatory and I couldn’t hear a thing. No disturbance to relaxing in own space or sleep. Correspondence ahead of visit: Too many emails for confirmation. Booking.com messages also not coherent / didn’t include full information or links to navigate check-in as requested.

Great stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great restaurant with good food. Classic dishes, some with a twist. Breakfast was very good with excellent choice in cooked to order plates. Plenty of parking space available and located close to Brecon national park and some local sights such as the Dinefwr park and castle. Definitely recommend a visit. We had a short stay on a roadtrip through Wales, and I can recommend this for the location, easy to get, and everything on site, restaurant and complimentary breakfast.

Rooms were really nice. Spotlessly clean and with lovely views. Property is in a beautiful area. Staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. Excellent service from everyone we came into contact with. Bar had all drinks you would want and food at both evening meals and breakfast was exceptional! All in all, we could not fault the hotel. Thankyou for a very pleasurable stay.

Just a recommendation, could do with more seating inside where you can just enjoy drinks (lounge area). Majority of seating inside is for the restaurant.

I booked the Towy Suite, a spacious and beautifully bright room with plenty of windows. The four-poster bed was luxurious, and I appreciated the comfortable couch, large screen TV, and dining room table that made the suite feel like a home away from home. The bathroom was equally impressive, with a huge shower that added a touch of luxury. Room service was a treat – I received a massive plate of fish and chips paired with a carafe of wine, all of which was delicious. Breakfast the next morning was made-to-order and served in the inn’s dining room, adding a personal touch to the stay. The clientele here is what I would call “respectable,” embodying a refined, traditional Wales charm that enhances the inn’s peaceful, quiet ambiance. The staff’s hospitality was exceptional, and my stay at The Plough Inn was perfect in every way. Highly recommended!

A very easy online booking system followed by clear confirmation and helpful communications, extremely friendly and helpful staff on reception and in dining areas, the breakfast was excellent and the bedroom was unusually well equipped with plug sockets in every potentially useful location. There was a safe and a mini fridge, the shower was clean and powerful, the view across the fields to the distant hills was impressive and - to cap it all - the air conditioning system worked.

If your room is on ground level you may be able to park right outside the rear patio door, which is great for unloading your bags ( my wife packs for ten days even if your only going for two) Beautiful room and a very good size , great shower with good heat and power , lovely dining room with excellent menu offering wide choices for evening meals. Lovely breakfast with choice including porridge and haddock options. Very well cooked, and a Welsh breakfast option, including Welsh tea

Nothing , it was a lovely stay and very convenient location for the Welsh Botanical Gardens,

The room was spacious and had its own door to the outside, which was great as we had a dog and were able to access the dog area without going through the hotel. The staff were all very welcoming, and the food was amazing. The outside seating areas were well-maintained and popular for eating outside. Even the dog was treated to a sausage for breakfast which was a lovely gesture.

The location was lovely looking out over the fields and hearing the birds. The food was lovely. Local produce. The rooms were immaculate and very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were amazing as we had turned up a week early, but they were able to find us a room and then our second night to give us a different room and no extra cost

The rooms were generous and modern with a very comfy bed. Bathroom was modern and clean. I liked that we could park outside our room making it easy to take things to our room. The outlook across farmland was lovely. We had our evening meal in the restaurant. Food was amazing and very generous portions. Staff were lovely. We also had a delicious cooked to order breakfast which gave us a good start to the day.

The breakfast was excellent with many choices on offer, including fresh fruit, yoghurt and cooked breakfast. Staff serving us were really helpful and kind. The room was delightfully furnished and the bed was extremely comfortable.

The shower tray did not empty quickly enough which I meant to mention it when we left. Just something that could easily be sorted.
