The room had an excellent view of the sea as promised, the bed was comfortable and extra pillows were provided as requested, the room was larger than expected which was a pleasant surprise. The decor was fresh and clean with no sign of wear and tear. We took advantage of the spa and had a massage which was excellent and very relaxing

The choice for evening meal was very limited and did not contain any plain or standard dishes eg fillet or sirloin steak the 10oz steak on offer would have been far too large for me and my wife who as of the older generation do not have large appetites. My wife eventually chose the poached salmon which was served with a selection of vegetables rather than the risotto which was on the menu, the salmon was vastly over cooked and dry which was disappointing, and the accompanying veg was covered in a bitter oil which made them unpalatable, the veg was also cooked al dente and were almost raw. I had the lamb rump in some kind of very sweet sauce which rather overpowered the taste of the lamb On a lighter note the breakfast in the morning was excellent, as was the service.

Breakfast - buffet food was cold and generally unpalatable. Had to wait for certain foods to be prepared. Toaster a joke - self service - toaster would either undercook or burn, not easy to adjust. Staff too busy to help! Appalling experience

The location was excellent. Rooms were well decorated. The breakfasts had variety, and evening meals were of excellent quality and looked good. Spa was most enjoyable and relaxing. We both had a couple of treatments, which we found most relaxing and good value. The spa staff were most helpful and friendly

In our first room we had a strange smell. However staff were very helpful and once a room was available we were offered to move and the second room was equally as comfortable in every way. We found turning right into the drive of the hotel rather difficult, as you are unable to see vehicles coming from around the corner in the other direction.

I booked a deluxe balcony sea view room which was amazing, the view was just perfect, lovely walk in shower plus luxury bath. Was nice to sit and drink my coffee in the morning just looking at the sea, so peaceful.

If I had to pick one thing which is minor really, Im a proper foodie and not fussy at all so will to give most things a go but found the evening menu a little challenging on all sections, I know you are catering to many different tastes so its difficult. Decided on salmon eventually, no starter or pudd. The following evening they had a menu change, a little better

The friendliness and interest of the staff, especially Reception and Spa. I was travelling alone and new to staying at The Cliff despite being local. Complementary use of the Spa pool and steam room . A great way to begin the day! The Continental breakfast. The location. An exhilarating coastal walk to Cardigan Island Farm Park and the views beyond. Excellent for seabird watching and seals. Nothing was too much trouble. Thankyou.

The Full English breakfast was a disappointment. Unwarmed plates meant the meal was not hot enough. Some of the components were not ready all at the same time, making matters worse . The filter coffee served with breakfast was lukewarm too.

Hi I was offered a free upgrade to a sea view room. The spa is small but it was lovely and enjoyed an hour experiencing the facilities. I stayed one night on my own but my family who live locally joined me for dinner which was delicious. Had a walk a long the coast it is amazing scenery. I booked for one night as I was unable to book into my Air bnb until today so I chose to stay at the Cliff Hotel. It was a brilliant start to my Easter break.x

Hi I wanted to experience the spa before my breakfast but had booked for 9. Breakfast was finished by then so I had coffee and scones in the bar.

I cannot rate this Hotel highly enough. Beautiful large room with a view that would be hard to better. Very clean with everything we needed. It was so nice to be left fresh milk in the fridge and plenty of tea and coffee of all descriptions. I hate it when we go somewhere and only have two teabags. Breakfast had plenty of choice and evening meals were lovely. It was also nice to be able to open windows as the weather was so good. All staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking. We will be back.

I am struggling to think of anything

Me and my husband stayed in the suite for 2 nights the room is stunning 😍 so much room and so comfortable..on looking the sea!! We loved the food we had a pizza and it was amazing. On the 2nd night we had burger and chips also delicious. Breakfast is lovely and so much to chose from. Staff was so helpful and friendly. We can't wait to book again

Our only problem was when we were staying in our suite room 16 we could hear upstairs constantly walking across the floor,the 1st night it kept me awake a little..the floor boards seems to be lose up there hence why we could hear people walking across there.

We received a warm welcome from the male receptionist. We arrived at 13.00 and our room was ready, which was great. We unpacked had a light lunch, then enjoyed an hour in the spa. We were so relaxed we could have fallen asleep, but we soldiered on. We had our 29th wedding anniversary to enjoy. We got ready and headed to the bar for some pre dinner drinks. The staff were young, friendly and good at their job. The restaurant was full and very loud! The lighting was a bit harsh, too, but that's the only negatives. I ordered breads to start, which were delicious, then the sirloin with brandy peppercorn sauce. Excellent! Cooked how I like it. We couldn't handle a dessert, so we took our bottle of wine to our room and enjoyed a good night's sleep in a comfy bed. The shower was great with the added bonus of a bath. I enjoyed a long soak with some bath oil I bought for the occasion. Woke up refreshed. Took a pre breakfast walk which was invigorating and set us up for brekkie. The breakfast buffet was amazing. So much choice. Good fresh ingredients. I'd highly recommend this hotel. Wish we could have stayed another night but had to head home. Thank you

The hotel was too warm. Uncomfortably so. We took our rad off as soon as we got in the room and opened the sliding door. The menu could have had more options.

Beautiful hotel, all staff had a smile on their faces and always greeted us. It made the experience great being made to feel so welcome. Food (Breakfast and Dinner) absolutely delicious and although expensive was definitely worth it. Did have a slight issue with having a few hard pieces in my Venison croquette which did slightly spoil my starter- the waiter was very polite and was very sorry, but I do think a refund for that dish would have been more appropriate. Lamb dish for main was one of the most tasteful dishes I've eaten in a very long time, 10*. Spa area is very clean and relaxing, not over booked with guests so plenty of space to use all facilities. I added extras to my room ballon, rose petals, 'Happy birthday' brownies, all were really well presented and made the stay extra special. Buffet style hot breakfast perfect for us as we could just select what we like. Overall amazing experience with beautiful views and ideal location- will 100% definitely be back! Extra note; Reception team couldn't do enough to help you, my phone charger broke during stay and they were very happy to let me borrow one. Very kind staff.

One improvement I'd suggest is that I booked balcony room and although we had a door to step outside and it was a beautiful sea view and everything we imagined. We were on the ground floor and whilst that didn't bother us a balcony is an elevated structure that usually over looked something so I imagine this may bother some guest. But as I said we didn't mind.
