Margaret and Caradog were so welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was beautiful, a good size with plenty of cupboard space. The on-suite had a walk-in shower with plenty of hot water. The breakfast was delicious with a great choice - cereals, fruit and yoghurt, croissants, full cooked - whatever you want. The location is excellent for exploring the area. There is a lovely pub within walking distance that has a very extensive and reasonable menu for evening meals. We will definitely be returning for another stay hopefully before very long.

There is nothing not to like.

Margaret and Caradog are wonderful hosts. Welcoming, accommodating and happy to offer local knowledge and insights for places to visit. Breakfasts were delicious and very generous, with Caradog’s home made sausages adding to the appeal. Planters full of beautiful flowers were lovely too. Ample off road parking and secure WiFi were much appreciated, as was the comfortable room with a small fridge and a step in shower. There’s a convenience store just down the hill too!

The shower head in our bathroom room squirted quite a bit of water out sideways. It was still possible to have an effective shower and in all fairness we didn’t mention it at the time so it could well have been fixed had we remembered to say something.

Great breakfasts, proper full english with all the trimmings offered if you want them. Fantastic location on the main road easy access to Newquay, Aberaeron ect, village shop 1 minute away and pub 3 minute walk. Hosts were great, lovely older couple, upgraded us for free for our last night to a full apartment.

Literally my only possible complaint, the small room doesn't have any good work surfaces its a bit awkward to try and work on a laptop in there but you can sometimes use the dining room table and sofa, and it is a very small room so really to be expected.

The owners were so incredibly welcoming and helpful. Our room had a shower but I saw there was a separate bathroom next to our room and I asked if I could use the bath. I was immediately told yes, not a problem. The bathroom actually came with another room but that room wasn't booked for that night. Our room was classed as a small double but it had everything we needed. The mattress, pillows and bed linens were very comfortable and we both slept well. In the morning we could choose from a selection of cereals, fruit, yoghurt and pastry items before being served a delicious hot cooked breakfast. The coffee was served in a French Press and was of a fabulous quality and taste. So good we had a 2nd pot. When we are back staying in the area, we would definitely want to stay here again.

Absolutely nothing to dislike

Margaret and Caradog were so welcoming when we arrived, Caradog offered to carry our cases upstairs but i did that on my own. Morning breakfast was very good, well cooked or the usual selection of fresh fruit and cereals, The room very comfortable and quiet, parking was good, which is important as you do need a car to explore the beautiful coast and countryside.

You do need to travel for good meals or entertainment which some people might find important, The Moody Cow just down the road is very good but expensive.

The B&B is not far from New Quai. There is a large parking place which is big enough so that everybody can park their car there. The landlady and her husband are very friendly and helpful. On arrival the landlady helped me to get dinner at a nearby restaurant (“The Moody Cow”, which I also recommend) although it was after their kitchen closing time. The room is of a decent size. Everything is OK. The highlight in the morning is the breakfast. You will be served a typical Welsh breakfast. It is so yummy. When I next come into the area, I will stay there again.

The apartment we stayed in was lovely , like home from home. So very clean, the beds were super comfy. We had a full breakfast in the main house… this is a must… the bacon, eggs, mushrooms and tomatoes were superb . The owners are super nice and friendly , loved hearing about the history of Beechwood house and the apartment. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend the house and the owners . A full Welsh welcome awaits you . Ample parking .

Nothing not too like … superb place

A fabulous gem of a stay and we were.made to feel very welcome. Lush family (hosts) who took the time to chat to us at a very yummy breakfast which was lovely. Bedroom was massive, super comfy and homely, free parking at the side in their private carpark. Nothing was too much trouble and we really enjoyed our stay. If you're in the area then definitely book here...you wont be disappointed Thankyou x

Even the rain couldn't ruin our trip..simply fabulous

Me & my wife stayed here for 2 nights when visiting relatives who live nearby. We booked the small double room, which was as stated 'small' but was fine for what we wanted. Had tea/ coffee etc in the room, plus a little fridge, which was handy as we like fresh milk on our tea/coffee rather than the little sachets that are the usual. The couple who own the property are very friendly, and although we never needed any info etc about the area, am certain they would readily advise anyone.. Breakfast was lovely and freshly cooked.. Overall, I thought it was very good value for money, and we enjoyed our stay..

No dislikes really.

Garadog and Margaret couldn't have been more hospitable! From a reservation at the nearby restaurant after normal hours complete with a drive there and the best breakfast we had in the UK it was lovely. Some things we all learned from the experience will definitely make it unforgettable! I know I would like to be back on another tour in Wales!!
