Everything!!!The pension is run run by a charming, kind and welcoming local family. Sofia ,Anna and amazing Koula were so kind and helpful and friendly and made us feel comfortable . The sea view is spectacular and the pool is amazing and the rooms are co clean and the rooms are cozy. The location is great and close to the beach. I hope to come back again:)

Sophia and the rest of the staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, they are all so friendly it has a great family feel, they handed out complimentary snacks with drinks which was kind. Sophia helped us with hiring a vehicle, gave recommendations and arranged a taxi for pick up for the port. The rooms are cleaned every day and you are given clean towels. The location is perfect, you are 5 mins walk to the beach, which leads to many beach bars, restaurants, super markets and shops. My husband also went scuba diving here and we are able to hire a scooter at a very reasonable price of €25 per day. Naxos main town is 15 drive away, there's buses, taxis or your own transport, parking is free. The accommodation is great value for money and you will have a very enjoyable stay without paying extortionate prices.

The staff and the owners are very friendly and nice people. They find solutions to all your questions and it makes you feel at home. The rooms are cleaned every day. The sea and lake view is perfect. You can have your dinner watching the sunset. Bus stop is very close and this makes it easy to reach Naxos town. You can walk to Agios Prokopios beach easily. This fits to all our expectations. Koulas Pension was really a good choice and we are quite satisfied with our stay.

Wow! Highly recommended hotel, because of the location and the staff! Perfect location when visiting Naxos for 1 week. The pool is great, amazing view over the sea / coast line, super staff: very friendly, helping you with everything, explaining things, suggesting trips, etc etc etc!. It's close to restaurants and to the beach. And by car it's just 10min to Naxos town (must visit). Tip: Climb the Mount of Zeus when visiting Naxos if you're up for a bit of hiking (by car, park at Agia Marina chuch, it's 1h up the mountain from trere. Or just ask Sofia of the staff for details). (But bring proper shoes, and go early)

Maybe the rooms are a bit outdated / no shower curtain, and there were some ants sneaking around. But still, the rooms are properly cleaned every day. So for me the "likes" definitely outweighed these minor points.

Great stay at Koulas Pension Red Lake July 2024. The room was really clean and comfortable and in a fabulous location on Naxos. The food at the bar area was really lovely and great value for money. Sophie and her family were all really lovely hosts and went out of their way to ensure we had a lovely stay - nothing was too much trouble from organising car hire and recommending places to visit, wonderful restaurant recommendations and helping us with a hospital visit, everything was perfect. Would 100% stay here again. Thank you for the memories.

We loved the location; beautiful views and easy to walk in to town. We rented a car because we wanted to see the rest of the island, but if you're staying local you don't need to. The staff made us all feel completely welcome and at home, nothing was too much trouble. The apartment (4 bed) was immaculately clean. It was basic accommodation, but had everything we needed. The pool was brilliant. We would definitely recommend staying here for a laid back holiday.

We booked this accomodation for the the good reviews. And I admit they were correct. More hotel feeling than appartment feeling. They cleaned every day and each time fresh towels. Very friendly owners. Perfect location with amazing view and close to the best beach of Naxos. Good communication was also a plus. We enjoyed our holiday.

Some more space in the bathroom would be comfortable.

A friendly welcome, lovely room over looking both pool and sea. Sofia was extremely helpful with advise about the island. Room was clean and spacious. A nice short walk into the town for plenty of restaurants and the beach. The family clearly work very hard running the hotel. We got the bus from Naxos town €2 and then asked it to stop at Lagos Mare from there just a 5 mins walk to the hotel.

Koula, Sofia, Anna and the cleaninglady. Thank you for making our stay wonderful. Everything about Koulas pension is amazing. The icecreams, the cakes that Koula made for us, the pool, the sunsets, the amazing beach. All your kindness. We love Naxos and we love you! The hotel is about 3min walks from the beach and about 5min walks from the mainstreet in Agios Prokopios. Everything is kept very clean. You will love it here.

Red Lake is an absolute gem. Sophia, her sister and parents were the ultimate friendly, welcoming and helpful hosts from the minute we arrived and were given fresh juice and cake to doing laundry for us for free, chatting and helping with transfers. The rooms are spotless and simple but perfect for your need. The whole place was gloriously quiet, familial and authentic - we could read by the gorgeous pool listening to birdsong - and its westward facing location affords the most beautiful sunsets. You feel like you’re away from it all yet only a 10 minute walk down the beach to the buzz of the town. As well as the lively (but not tacky) strip of restaurants etc there’s a terrific arts centre nearby that puts on live music and has an open-air cinema. You really can enjoy the best of a homely away-from-it-all atmosphere with a gorgeous beach, watersports and great food on your doorstep. Highly recommended.

WiFi is a bit weak but we found that most places we went.
