We were genuinely welcomed by the wonderful employee the late afternoon that we checked in. She was very helpful. The room was comfortable and we absolutely loved the fact that the wharf, and other restaurants were all within a short walking distance, meaning that we didn't have to take our car and try to find some parking. We would definitely stay here again.

We have no complaints, other than the pillows weren't soft enough and the bed kept coming undone each night because instead of a bottom sheet, there was a flat sheet used instead.

Wonderful stay! Totally updated rooms since the last time I was there. The hostess was so sweet and accommodating! 2 min walk to the beach, and yet tucked away behind beautiful eucalyptus trees! Loved the breakfast options, boiled eggs, toast, bagels, coffee, juice, milk, hot and cold cereals, fruits, and waffle maker was a bonus. So was the large privately situated hot tub!

A few homeless people were living in the bushes there along the driveway going down to the beach, but we felt safe nevertheless.

- This hotel was a pretty close walk to the boardwalk & pier. If you have a wagon or stroller, you do have a short detour, but the walk is around 5 minutes only. - The room was clean. - There was a microwave & fridge in the room. - Beds were comfortable and clean.

- Limited breakfast options - Limited parking - Shower water pressure was weak! - There were only small trashcans in the room & no extra trash bags were provided.

Beautiful clean room, comfy bed, good size. 7 minutes walk from Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Food and shopping all in walking distance. I woke up not feeling well (an ongoing issue for me). Checked out at 11am, drove just a couple of minutes and realized I wouldn't be safe driving. I pulled over, called the hotel and they were able to get me a new room immediately! I will definitely come back here again 🩷😊🩷😊🩷 Very nice and welcoming staff. Thank you!

I can't complain about anything!

The front desk staff was very welcoming. The hotel guests like older couples were welcoming compared to other hotels I’ve been to (Monterey, San Francisco, etc.). My girlfriend and I enjoyed laying in the jacuzzi and having a decent amount of breakfast options (would recommend adding breakfast sausages, sliced ham, or bacon). It’s a nice downhill walk to the pier and boardwalk. We’d love to stay here again.

The bed is hard but it seemed to not bother my lingering hip and back issues. The curtain in our suite is torn and needs to be replaced.

Room was clean and decent, great location, good price for area. King room with balcony and ocean view was nice to have a balcony, would of been better to actually see the ocean

Suppose to be an ocean view but we were on the bottom floor abd really looked out towards thw ocean and saw buildings. Hot tub only.had half the jets working. Bed was super stiff.

Breakfast had all the basic morning essentials to get the family started for the day ahead. It’s such an easy walk to the boardwalk. It was a perfect room and location for us.

The room was small but it worked perfect since we needed a room only to sleep in since we wanted to spend most of our time exploring the town and area.

We walked 1 block and were at the ocean. We parked the car at the hotel when we first got there and then we never got in the car until we left. Close to everything we wanted to do.

The hotel online said the jacuzzi had a disabled lift that my husband could get in the water. It was broken and the staff made it seem like it had been broken for a while. Also not a lot of hot food breakfast options.

It’s walking distance to the beach and board walk!!!! Save your self $35 parking fee at boardwalk This is not a 5 star hotel but it’s very family friendly, free breakfast, basic breakfast but they had it to offer!! Our room was clean

Parking it’s very hard to get in and out of. AC was very noisy while on in our room

HoJo was where to stay back in the day and now that it's a Wyndham property, I thought we would give it a try. The property is pretty old with newer cosmetic updates in the room like a backlit mirror and comfortable beds. The location was amazing, we had an ocean view and were able to easily walk to the wharf. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, and we were able to park right outside the door to our room.

The layout of the room was odd and there was no place to sit and relax, other than on a bed, and the fridge was in a bedroom rather than in a common area. The continental breakfast was primarily bread items, it would have been nice to have some kind of protein options. With that said, we came to go to the boardwalk and sleep, and we were able to do both of those things easily.
