I had a wonderful stay at The Olive Tree Motel—definitely great value for money! The ground-floor room was convenient, and I loved the fact that there was free parking available on-site. The continental breakfast was an unexpected highlight, with a great range of options, including soy and lactose-free milk, toast, Vegemite, a variety of jams and butters, crumpets, yoghurt, juices, and plenty of tea and coffee—everything you need to start the day right! The king-size bed was incredibly comfortable, and the shower had excellent water pressure. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were top-notch—honestly, they rival 5-star hotels. My hair and body felt fresh and rejuvenated. The room itself was spacious and came with a full-size fridge and freezer, which was a nice bonus. Although I stayed for just one night, I could easily see myself staying here longer next time. Overall, I was really impressed and will definitely return in the future. Highly recommended!

Nothing was great

Clean and easy to access. Comfortable beds and warm room. Breakfast being available as part of the tariff was most appreciated. It was a high standard full service continental breakfast. Easy parking adjacent to the downstairs unit as requested.

I have never stayed in a facility like this that did not have a vanity basin in the bathroom. This meant that activities normally conducted using a vanity basin were moved to the sink in the kitchenette facility. Not what one expects. Unusual use of corrugated metal , normally used as roof cladding as an internal decorating feature on walls and ceiling. Very interesting.

the bed: excellent mattresses, just the right amount of soft cloudyness and firm foundation! nice interior style, breakfast (free) much better than expected for a free breakfast, friendly owners, warm A/C for a rainy winter weekend was essential

relatively minor things, like it's a bit noisy from rooms nearby and people arriving late or leaving early, insulation could be better (especially around the door); and bring your own soap and shower gel/shampoo/conditioner as there is none

This is a good budget motel to stay at for work in Morwell. Second time I have stayed there and both times it provided exactly what I needed - good wifi, comfy bed and breakfast thrown in. Not a cooked breakfast but toast, fruit, savouries, coffee and cereal, all you need to start the day off. Will be back on my next business trip to Morwell. Motel had the heating on when I got there which was appreciated as it was freezing outside. To walk into a lovely warm room was nice.

Nothing - it had everything I needed.

Breakfast was a pleasant surprise, being gluten Intolerant I didn't expect much choice (usually fruit & yoghurt, if I'm lucky, many places just coffee) but I found a choice of G/F cereal & toast as well as fruit & yoghurt, definitely a plus. The staff were caring, I booked as my husband was having surgery at a nearby hospital, they offered 24 hr assistance if I needed it (their room number & reception out of hours phone number) plus letting me know my room would be available if I needed to extend my stay. 10/10 all round ! For anyone attending Maryvale Private Hospital the location is perfect.

Nothing, everything was totally satisfactory

A quirky country looking interior to stay on the inside, not to be judged by it's ordinary looking cover. Budget friendly. The bed was comfortable. We didn't attend the free breakfast as we had other plans.

Bathroom was a disappointment (dated, lifted tiles, sad water pressure) after seeing the bedroom. The large window on the front of the room rattled from traffic or neighbours coming/ going from their room or their 9pm pizza deliveries getting us out of bed. Nowhere to put items in bathroom as the sink is in the kitchenette area, which means belongings either sit on the toilet or the bin. Spare toilet roll was damp from condensation on the window sill

I've stayed here a number of times now when needing to be in the area, and it's a great find. Super clean, very comfortable beds, staff are great and so many nice touches and attention to detail in the rooms. Plus, they have a great focus on good sustainable practices (i.e. milk comes in re-usable glass bottles, refillable soap, shampoo etc and 'who gives a crap' toilet paper). Breakfast is very extensive as well, particularly given the price point.

There is one sink that's outside the bathroom, that's at the main mirror where you get ready, so it tends to be an area for the sink, getting ready and any food prep/washing dishes, and the sink is a shallow bathroom sink. However a tiny consideration in all that's great about this place :)

It was a beautiful decorated room _ so lovely. OMG the king bed was sublime as were the hygeine products supplied. The spare blanket was hygienically kept in a seperate bag. The location for us was perfect as we visited Walhalla Historic Town and enjoyed the train ride. It was near the Tarra Bulga NP which we visited and Yarrum to see the Silo Art. IT was walking distance to some chinese restaurants and a hotel where meals were really good. The Morwell Rose Garden was nice and the shopping complex big and modern. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.

Great central location. A couple doing their best to provide a quality experience in challenging economic times. Going above and beyond the normal standard for a country motel. Exceptionally clean rooms that have been renovated. Great beds and an included breakfast that was not expected. Communication also excellent. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Outside lights under veranda are very bright and light enters room over the top of the curtains.

Perfectly adequate motel. We stayed for one night en route to a further destination. The motel is basic but had everything you would need. Nice big comfortable bed and crisp linens. Communication with the owner was good and on arrival he even came and removed a rather large ( by uk standards) ‘harmless’ spider for us! Next morning he sent us on our way with suggestions of what to do that day. We followed his advice and had a lovely day.
