The man in reception was very welcoming and friendly and he explained everything we might need to know. When we left, the lady in reception was also amazingly friendly. The room was great: two desk/table areas and 2 chairs to suit. Crockery and cutlery, microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster. Spare pillows which I preferred. Clean! Really, really clean. A great place, especially for the price. Road noise? A little but fine for us. Location? 10 minutes to the big shopping centre. Less to Hungry Jacks. Even less to the Exotic Pet Shop. Worth repeating: very clean.

Nice welcome from staff at reception. Lots of extras included in the room,crockery,cutlery,glasses,microwave, toaster and kettle. Tea,Coffee,sugar and milk portions provided and packets of biscuits, plus complimentary bottles of water in fridge. Good size family room with towels,face washers and even dark makeup remover towels. Split system worked well,especially on chilly evening. Good location,close to many local restaurants and town facilities. Guide in room with information and menus for restaurants. Returning to room in afternoon after servicing was very fresh,clean and tidy with fresh towels.

Parking a bit limited and some spaces parallel along the fence. Our room was upstairs could hear some traffic passing by. Better once closed curtains and after peak times. Basin and taps located outside bathroom,,but was handy to fill kettle if someone in shower or toilet.

The place was absolutely super clean I could not fault it needs a little updating but they have catered for the oldest style and well maintained it it was actually great to see best motels that I've stayed in years I could hire a cot for my daughter not a problem at all brand new sheets the cot was super clean it had extra padding being a port-a-cot which is actually great to see she was super comfortable instantly and had a great night sleep because I was checking in after hours they made sure that I had all the details to get in and I understood it and if I had any problems at no matter what time I could still call them absolutely lovely people didn't get a chance to meet them but spoke to them all on the phone they even called me to make sure I had the text message with all the details which is very rare

The only thing I can actually say about it is not that many car parks and they really need to be numbered

This traditionally built motel has been maintained and improved to a very high standard. The proprietors greet guests happily and are available for any extra requirements. The rooms are comfortable and the decor suitably selected. Provisions ,as listed ,are in good supply, with an effective air conditioning system for any season. The bed and linen extremely clean,as well as the bathroom and shower facilities. Overall, this motel is very comfortable, safe and welcoming.

A little 'out of town ',however set back from the busy and noisy Prince's Hwy and an adjacent main side street, the quite room makes for a good night's sleep.

We were very pleasantly surprised at the value for money at City Gardens Motel. We were expecting far less. While dated, which we expected, our room was very clean and comfortable, and more spacious than many budget motels we stay at while on the road. The little things were all thought of, although on the highway it was surprisingly quiet, parking was easy and all the staff were very pleasant and welcoming.

The motel was exceptionally clean and tidy. All staff were so friendly, welcoming and went out of their way to make us comfortable and ensure we had everything we needed. I'd definitely stay there again. It was honestly the friendliest and cleanest little motel I'd ever been.

The motel was small and old, but the staff tried hard to make it clean and comfortable and took alot of pride.

Enjoyed a great stay when stopping over for work. The entire room was very clean with a lot of nice touches and amenities you don't expect to always see. Comfy bed and enjoyed a good night's sleep. The staff were super helpful and accommodating, also lovely people and I enjoyed a nice chat with them. Will definitely be coming back and recommending to others.

The staff member on check in was fantastic, the rooms were spotless and had everything you needed.

The rooms were dated as you can see from the website but everything was absolutely perfect. We were here for a friends birthday and decided to stay here because of the price. Very glad we did as the room was lovely, and parking was easy. Did get a bit of traffic noise over night but nothing too bad given proximity to the main road.

Everything was amazing the staff and owners were amazing as always everyone was friendly such a great experience the rooms were spacious beds are comfy everything we needed was meet I love staying here will always choose this place over and over again 10/10 would recommend

There was nothing I was happy with everything

The bed was nice (I spent most of the time sleeping) and the shower had good pressure. I liked that the hot drinks were free.

I wish the shower room had better drainage as the water left the room slightly unusable due to the water running outside of the shower and bathroom. The stairs were hard to get up and down, if i had a chance to move rooms i'd of asked, if i had the money,
