The reception staff have been super diligent to contact us, follow up several times to check our arrival, though we missed their call. They were highly responsive. They provided helpful instructions. The room was spotless, immaculate, beds, bathroom, floor, and every object in the room were amazingly clean. Comfortable beds, fully functional water, light, AC facilities. The breakfast is a bonus. Very good spread of breakfast items. Clean and spacious area. Highly recommended place to stay for families and all types of travellers. Thank you. We will visit again.

The room was very comfortable, clean, and well presented. Little things that catch your eye like the dressing on the beds, and little chocolates supplied for your consumption - you don't normally see these sorts of finishings in regional motels. Bed was very comfortable, and there was a complimentary continetal breakfast and WiFi provided with the booking. On ground parking was available.

There were no ice cubes available in the freezer which would have been a nice touch. The hot water took a long time to come through in the morning, however undersatndable is a big property.

It was a pleasure meeting Paul, the owner. We were running late for our check-in, so I called the reception to let them know we wouldn’t make it on time. Paul kindly arranged a late check-in and was incredibly helpful over the phone. When we arrived at the motel, everything was already set up for us. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The next morning, we went to the breakfast room for the complimentary breakfast, and I was pleasantly surprised by Paul’s warm hospitality and friendly company. It’s clear that everything at The Black Bull’s Motel is thoughtfully planned with the guests’ needs in mind.

You can't tell a book by its cover, they say. Judging by the tired outside appearance the motel did not look promising - but we were pleasantly surprised once we got into our ground floor room. The motel had recently been renovated. It was clean, modern, well appointed and, importantly, a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was included in the price and the light continental breakfast upstairs was sufficient and didn't disappoint. All the staff we communicated with were helpful and friendly.

Friendly staff, yet check in was awkward, when asked if I was who I said I was, just a bit odd, to been charged twice after mentioning I had already paid online. If you dont like booking.com dont use them, yet they do bring you buisness that perhaps otherwise you wouldn't have. Pool really needs basic maintenance daily... skimmer overflowing with leaves, bottom of pool had quite a lot of debris.. this didn't happen overnight. Overall pleasent enough yet definitely room for improvement.

This place is fantastic! The rooms look like they have been recently renovated, with the carpets feeling like you are walking on a cloud. The beds are comfortable and large. The bathroom is spacious and well thought out, the complimentary bathroom products are fantastic and some of the nicest we have come across on our trip. The breakfast in the morning is a nice added bonus to your stay. The location in Traralgon is great, on the highway and close enough to everything with a short drive to most places. The staff are friendly and approachable, and they really added to this amazing place. We were really happy staying here, and would happily stay again.

In terms of motels, the black bull is top of the range. The room was spacious and had nice touches like hersheys chocolates and old fashioned bottles of milk. The bathroom was renovated and the owners displayed a value for sustainability by using Thankyou soaps and WGAC toilet paper. Bed was really comfortable and staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast room was sun filled and had lots of nice breakfast options not just your regular run of the mill toast and cereal. I would stay again for sure.

The hot water tap was boiling hot straight away which could be really unsafe for little ones using the shower or sink.

Staff was really accomendating when we requested ground floor units. The rooms are pretty spacious, comfy bed and pillows, clean bathroom and towels. They use zero co shampoo, it smells and washes really well. The counter in bathroom doubles perfect as a nappy changing table, for anyone who cares :p The whole family loved this $150 motel, even better than some fancy hotels we stayed in before.

There were 2 dead bugs on the floor.

Reception was very accommodating and friendly. I reserved adjoining rooms for me and my son and both rooms were spacious, clean and modern. Beds comfortable and rooms were very quiet. The motel had undergone extensive renovations and the results were to a high standard. My room had a small patio outside facing the pool which was very nice. Highly recommend. Plenty of parking near the rooms.

What great accommodation. What can I say... Paul was more than helpful with a late check-in and then a text in the morning to let us know about breakfast. What a lovely breakfast it was to. The room was newly renovated, very clean, and had everything my family needed for our overnight stay. Needless to say, we were extremely happy with our stay. It is one of the best places we've stayed and great value at $169 for a Sunday night stay.. Our next stay in Traralgon will definitely be with The Black Bull. Thank you for taking great pride in the accommodation you provide.

If there was anything, it was that the bed was too soft for my husband and I. But still comfortable..
