The Motel was exceptionally clean and well cared for. The property is owner occupied, very kind and friendly couple. The locations was very close to the beaches. The property strattles the city lines the Middletown and Newport, the Newport First (1st Beach) was about 300 yards distance from the Motel, and the Newport Cliff walk was less than 1 mile walking distance from the Motel. Places to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner, were all within walking distance. The 2nd Beach in Middletown is about a 1.5 mile way, and Sachuset Point is less than 2 miles away. The Sunset from the Sea Whale Motel was extraordinarily beautiful.

The room's wall's are not sound proofed, so you can hear people who are chatty during the night, but everyone quieted down around 10 PM , so it wasn't really an issue.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 days last weekend and couldn't be more pleased. The owners Teri and her husband were wonderful and very accommodating. The hotel is a little dated but don't let that distract you, the room was super clean and the bed was comfortable with nice linens. Great view of the salt pond out back with Adirondack chairs. and the place is a only 5 min walk to the beach. Thanks again for our wonderful stay!

Excellent Little Motel. Very, very clean. It is small but everything was immaculate. Very quiet area that is close to a ton of Restaurants, Grocery Stores, Beaches and Newport. We took the ferry to Block Island for the day which was a 10 min drive. Awesome location. Very friendly owners that were very accommodating. Ice machine on site to fill your coolers for the beach. Beautiful Sunset in back yard! Can't beat the price.

Only thing that would have made it better would be a couple of grills out back in the picnic area. Would have been nice to grill out after coming back from beach.

For a 1970's type motel this place WAS IMMACULATE, inside the room and out!!! Freshly painted. Smelled clean. Although the furniture was dated it looked brand new. Pretty hanging flower baskets outside. Back is on Easton Pond. The owners were friendly, courteous and put care into the Sea Whale. Reasonable rate for height of the summer season. Loved the location -,just out of the frey of Newport but very very close. Many casual restaurants close by. Great breakfast place right across the street. Great little motel for a short term stay in Newport area at a reasonable rate.

The bedding cover was clean but had a dark old feeling. Bathroom clean but motel small with very basic essentials. No hair conditioner.

There was no breakfast.I dont drink coffee with artificial creamer.There is a Cumberland Farms which is walkable.

The room and bathroom was very clean. I noticed a slight musty smell. It could be because we had 1 day of damp weather and the room was slightly under ground.That is my only complaint.The view is fine and slightly overrated. The location is near alot of restaurants. The owners were very nice people .

The motel was in a perfect spot, you have easy access to all attractions. You could sit on deck and look out over water. For people who have difficulty climbing stairs the front entrance would be easier. Free parking in back of motel which has flight of stairs to access room on second floor. The owners are very nice, helpful. I would say Sea Whale Motel is well worth the stay!!

The owners were very friendly and helpful... They were kind enough to let us check in early and were always around to check and see if everything was ok. The whole place was immaculate and well organized. The room was spacious and had everything you would need . We had a small balcony with 2 chairs and a table with a lake view. New appliances.Soda and ice machine outside. The back had a nice view of the lake with picnic tables and chairs to relax in. Close to the beach, restaurants , and outdoor recreation within walking distance.

Great location, both owners were very welcoming and helpful. Rooms were spacious, well equipped with microwave and fridge/freezer and had a nice view. Nothing fancy about the rooms as they are older style but everything you need for a visit.

AC was noisy and not very efficient. Could maybe consider updating a few of the soft furnishings such as bed linen and towels to a higher quality and carpets and curtains to brighten the room a little as it has lovely classic hardwood furniture it could emphasis more.

It’s the little things that make it great. This little classic mid century motel is fantastic. the owners live on property so they really care about your stay. We needed a few minutes after normal checkout to shower after a road race. No problem. There were some nice snacks waiting for us in the room. We didn’t partake, but to know there were there was a nice touch. Super clean for any hotel, but a classic hotel wow. The beds were firm, not the super soft back aching beds at other hotels. Great location. We will stay again.

Property is centrally located to major attractions in and around Newport. Close proximity to the beach and Cliff Walk. The room was immaculate and had all the basics for a comfortable stay. The owners were super friendly and readily available to answer any questions. The outdoor seating was a nice addition to enjoy sunsets.
