We loved the location . The friendliness of staff and their willingness to assist was impressive.

The indoor pool needs a lot of work. Water looks dirty (it might be because the brown stained bottom needs painting). The perimeter frame around the pool had paint peeling.

I thought the hotel was very clean and I especially loved the bed the mattresses were so comfortable and the girls did a great job cleaning the room.

What I did not like was the restaurant the service was horrible my husband and I waited over an hour to get a bowl of cereal and then another 20 minutes for milk that they did not have and had to go get it. The waitresses did a fabulous job it was a slow kitchen obviously and no rhythm or rhyme as to how things needed to go they need to get a mabager who knows how to run a restaurant, specially breakfast.....

We enjoyed sitting by the fire pit at night watching the rabbits that live there. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. The location was great. Easy walk to shops, dining, and the pier to board excursion. Short drive to the mansions.

The pool area was neglected. (There was mold/mildew on the seat cushions, dying plants, dead spiders in webs on the corners of the dirty windows.) Coffee and toilet paper was not restocked in our room. I absolutely don't feel that it is right to charge guests for parking at the hotel. I was charged $70. for three days.

Clean and great location!

Had to pay for parking on premises (not terrible). Charged an additional “resort” fee bundled in with the cost of the room, plus taxes - we did not use the pool or eat on site (which would have been additional money to eat at the on site restaurant, which wasn’t even open on the days we stayed at the hotel). We just showered and slept there. In lieu of a resort fee, a “pool pass” should be an optional additional charge for guests IF they plan to use the amenities.

Great location, loved the pool!

The restaurant situation was very confusing. We kept being told that breakfast was buy one get one free and yet it never happened. Our drink tickets were not honored..

Location was very convenient to everything. Staff were great, all very pleasant and helpful. Room was very comfortable and spacious with a spectacular view. Enjoyed breakfast at Saltwater, staff were all very pleasant and service was great. Love the outside lawn and deck chairs, great spot to relax and enjoy the view.

The only thing is the amount of taxes and fees that are added onto rates.

Location was perfect.

Parking was a big issue. Parking is supposed to be included in the rate. Unfortunately now the parking is also public, they pay $10 an hour. And because of the location it was jampacked on the Sunday we arrived, which to be fair was Mother’s Day. We had to drive around 45 minutes until somebody left so we could park. They should have designated parking spaces for people that are paying to stay at the hotel.

Fantastic location on the waterfront. Close to main shopping street and the wharf with restaurants etc. The hotel breakfast was delicious and filling, and we ate both mornings out on the deck by the water. Newport is gorgeous. The cliff walk was amazing, beach at the cliff walk was lovely, and the Breakers was really interesting. There is a free bus around the island which is good to know.

The pool area definitely needed updated. A balcony would have been nice. No information on hotel facilities, eg, bikes or boating. There didn't seem to be a market or store anywhere to buy snacks or picnic foods.

The location is wonderful.

The parking was a problem. Even though they say packing is included they do not guarantee you a spot if it is a busy day it is a privately owned parking lot so they charged $10 an hour. And because it location is so good everybody uses it they do not have designated packing for people staying at the hotel.
