We arrived at 5pm and we had no room . The only King size available was an accessible room for disabled people , which we declined . They offered a free drink in the bar while they cleaned another room . We waited 30 minutes . Room was good but had a constant smell of food , guessing there were extractor fans from the kitchens below . Bar and restaurant facilities were very basic and disappointing . The roof top bar and dining area were off limited both nights because of a private function .

Room was great... near elevator .. very quiet.... POOL AREA SUPER ... VERY QUIET ... whirlpool not working... but very relaxing anyways... .

THE ONLY NEGATIVE COMMENT WOULD BE SUNDAY MORNING WE WANTED TO GO TO BRUNCH .... WENT INTO BRUNCH AREA.... NO ONE AT HOSTESS STATION ... WALKED TOWARD STAFF -- ASIAN WAITRESS VERY RUDE .... "SAID YOU HAVE TO WAIT ... THERE IS A LINE... WE KNOW WHO YOU ARE... " THERE WAS ONE PERSON SITTING OUTSIDE THIS AREA... WE LEFT AND WENT ACROSS THE STREET TO THE CAFE TO GET BREAKFAST ... THANKS

The staff - everyone from the valet to the concierge was exceptionally helpful and friendly

The bathroom walls were dirty :(. The pool water was a bit murky.

My first room heater was broken. Which does happen on occasion w building that have antique charm. Staff remedied by transferring my room.

Great location. Historical part of building has great character. New wing added in 80’s has not been maintained. It’s not great.

Bathrooms in extension are outdated and not maintained. Mold etc. walls thin. Stay in the original building and you’ll be happy.

it’s a beautiful old hotel with old architecture charm. the old skeleton room keys still displayed behind the front desk, valet parking on site which was quite reasonable, the food in the restaurant was delicious! the staff in the kitchen allowed me to stay and wait for my wife who was getting a massage in the spa, even while they had to set up for lunch. it may seem like a small thing, but the coffee they serve is rich and delicious and we are total coffee snobs! my wife got a very relaxing massage at the spa. this place is phenomenal and I highly recommend it. it’s right in the middle of old Newport with all the beautiful old houses from the late 1700’s and 1800’s. simply beautiful!

the walls are a bit thin. we did have to hear our neighbors talking loudly for a while at night but it didn’t last too long. the shower took almost 4 minutes to warm up and the pressure wasn’t great. they had one of those rainfall shower heads.. the room was very hot even with the heat off. we asked the front desk for a fan and it was brought up right away.

The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, and the hotel is great walking distance to downtown. The rooftop bar has a great view and live music, and the rooms were so comfortable! Netflix is on the TV which was great for coming back to at night.

The bathrooms are very small, and very hard to brush your teeth in due to the sink and mirror being so close together. Also, for a hotel without its own parking, the valet service should be INCLUDED. :(

Pool jacuzzi not working, no hot water for a few hours, prefer sink to be in same room as toilet. Ours was outside of bathroom.

It could have been a little more updated and the pool/hot tub more clean/clear water! It had a greenish look to it and there was no jets running for the Hot Tub area! I feel it could have been bigger or a second one to accommodate the guests

Well, the location was perfect but no parking and $45 is a a lot. I know it’s more down by the wharf, but it’s parking lot.

The heating was extremely noisy and drying. I just changed the fan on my mini split and it made a big difference.
