The location is amazing. It’s actually a more charming part of Newport vs staying closer to the wharf or in one of the big hotels. Everything is walkable. The staff Peter and Brandy are amazing. So welcoming Sat and talked with us for awhile. Let us know when hot cookies were put out at the desk made wonderful recommendations to us for our stay really went the extra mile. The hotel is so clean and bright and unique with lots of sitting and gathering areas if you are in a group. The lite bite breakfast and coffee tea all day was wonderful. Would absolutely stay here again and would highly recommend to anyone coming to town.

Really nothing. The only thing to prepare for is stairs. We were on 3rd floor and there is no elevator so now you have to go up and down stairs. If that’s not possible the Lark Suite where my parents stayed is on the first floor.

This small hotel is well-maintained and conveniently located. We enjoy walking, so we explored all of Bellevue Avenue and the mansions on foot. The decor is both cozy and stylish. The fresh breakfast is a delight—there are options for everyone. Even if you follow a keto diet like I do, you’ll find boiled eggs, yogurt, berries, and egg bites. If you prefer carb options, there’s homemade cake, cereal bars, bread, jam, and overnight oats. The café in the lobby, available at any time, is also a nice touch. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!

A very beautiful, tastefully decorated hotel! The location is excellent, Newport and the harbor are just a few minutes' walk away. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Despite our late arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Pete. He immediately gave us some helpful tips on what to do in the area and where to eat. We particularly enjoyed the small, lovingly handmade breakfast. We traveled along the East Coast for several weeks, and this was by far the best breakfast we had in a hotel!

Superb location. A quiet residential area but only one block away from restaurant's shops and a stroll away from the wharf with numerous bars and restaurants. Breakfast was delightful. Buffet of small pre-prepared dishes of a high quality. Tasty snd fresh.

The WiFi connection was erratic and the signal was very poor in the 2nd building. Soundproofing could be better. Noise could be heard from the above floor and from the hallway. No coffee machine available just filter coffee.

I loved my stay at the Attwater. My room was in the guest house. It was a "suite" with a sitting room and a bedroom. I had nice view from my picture window in room 3. The bed was so very comfortable and I liked the bath soaps. My room was peaceful and quiet after long days of sightseeing. The Attwater was in a perfect location for me. I could walk to everything and the # 67 bus (which is free) is at the corner and goes almost everywhere around Newport. Breakfast was lovely . The staff (mostly out of sight) did a great job. The Attwater was a bit of a splurge for me but I felt it was well worth it

I loved the property. As an older person , I may prefer a first floor room next time

Excellent location, only a 10 minute walk down a beautiful street to get to Thames Street. It was very quiet. We had no problem finding parking and didn't end up needing the parking that the hotel provided. The place is exceptionally clean and beautiful. Shower water pressure was great. They put out a very nice breakfast in the morning.

Nothing. They just need a bar in the shower and some hooks in the bathroom but otherwise the place is perfect

Central location to cliff walk and the oyster festival. Very Good coffee available around the clock. The bed and pillows were 10 plus. I slept like a baby. My room was a good size. Plenty of free parking .

The bathrooms were small. The stairs going upstairs were slightly off 2nd to age. The breakfast was ok but not like the reviews led me to believe.

The hotel is in a great area for exploring Newport. It’s away from the busy centre but close enough to walk to all the amenities. Our room was a good size and very comfortable and parking was a bonus. Can definitely recommend Pasta Beach restaurant, a two minute walk from the hotel.

The walls are very thin, so you can hear the other guests really easily.

The hotel and the rooms are nicely decorated. The breakfast was good and there were a variety of choices. The hotel is conveniently located right being the Art Museum and Bellevue Avenue. Parking was not a problem and was free.

The air-conditioned was very noisy and the bed was not super comfortable. There was a nice terrace and I was excited to spend time there, but unfortunately the cushions were soak with water so we couldn't enjoy the terrace.

Loved the Attwater. We stayed in the Lark Suite which was gorgeous and spacious. Felt like having our own small apt in Newport. Very close to the International Tennis Hall of Fame, Cliff Walk and good restaurants and shops. The breakfast each morning was unique and high quality.

The staff was pleasant, but not as warm as other visitors had mentioned in their reviews. Didn’t affect our stay though. We would stay again.
