A great location with the important facilities near buy ie petrol station, village shop, pub. Locals are very helpful and friendly. The cottage was fully equipped so you didn't have to travel with the kitchen sink! Only 15 minutes away from Monmouth which is a great town if you need some retail therapy. Loads of excellent places to eat out.

They are more like apartments than cottages, metal fire escape type stairs to get to the cottage. A little tricky if you have lots of baggage, dogs or young family. Though it didn't detract from it being a lovely place to stay.

The cottage was bigger than expected. Great location on a small village but not too far from Chepstow, Tintern and Monmouth Cottage was clean, warm and had everything needed for a short stay, as in our case, or a long day too. Free parking outside. We stayed in Oak cottage. It is all ground floor. Two bathrooms one which has a bath amd ghe other a vsth. Owners lived nearby and were friendly and helpful. Pub next door currently closed but did not affect us. Small petrol station and village shop nearby

The cottage was clean cosy and well equipped. Good provision of plenty of towels and crockery and cutlery everything was available to ensure a comfortable stay. The cottage was lovely and warm with plenty of heating appliances. Landlady was very friendly and welcoming and the food in the pub was very tasty.

Pub could be a little noisy late at night as the cottages were very close to the smoking area outside. We also did not realise that there would be an extra charge of £25 for our dog when we booked pet friendly accommodation through booking.com, we thought that was in the total price when we booked the accommodation.

Lovely and clean, spacious. The kitchen was great- all the facilities that you'd need and more with the dishwasher and washing machine (we didn't use as only stayed for a short break but would definitely have used if staying longer). The pub next door served great food and everyone was very friendly- there was a good atmosphere.

The entrance was through a gate and up some metal stairs, it was dark at night.

Ideal for what we needed for a 2 night stay for a wedding. Well kitted out in the kitchen, really good space throughout and great to have 2 en-suits as there were 2 couples staying. The owners were really accommodating so thank you for your help and the two dogs are lovely!

The pub next door was closed but nothing to dislike about the property

The location was good though very near the main road. Spacious accommodation, quite comfortable. Clean and tidy, towels and bed linen were fresh, owners pleasant and helpful. It was an ideal base for what we wanted, lots of walks nearby, so we were out most of the time. Pub served good food at reasonable prices, pleasant place to spend an evening.

The fridge was temperamental, depending on which shelf food was put depended on if it randomly froze or not {there was a seperate freezer}. The garden area at the back of the cottages was a bit neglected and there wasn't any decent furniture to sit out on anyway. it was a bit noisy at times but there was some maintenance/decorating going on and it didn't impact on us too much.

Lots of space, had everything you need for a holiday home including washing machine etc Good location in a quiet little village but near to many places to visit. Easily accessible. Good parking.

Unfortunately the pub attached to the cottage’s was closed, however there was a lovely inn just up the road.

Very good location, well placed for visiting Monmouth and other towns and villages. Good walks from the property with excellent views on a clear day. Laminate flooring throughout, easy to keep clean when you have a dog as we do. Very quiet.

We were in the upper half of the building, which was accessed by 13 stairs. This surprised me but maybe I had not read the information properly. It was not a problem to us and the stair case is very sturdy with a landing half way.

The cottage was in a beautiful rural area, surrounded by fields and only a short drive to Monmouth. The facilities were great?, although the WiFi didn't reach to the bedrooms which was a shame as I couldn't play music. The cleaning wasn't 100% but it was decent enough! The pub next door could not be faulted, the owners are lovely and the food was out of this world!

You could hear every footstep from the apartment above which was annoying late st night when trying to sleep. Also the blinds could be better to block out light

Excellent location next to the friendly pub and in a beautiful area a few miles from Chepstow and close to Tintern. Hosts were very pleasant and welcoming. The cottage was spacious, with tasteful decor and well equipped.

The only slight drawback was limited parking in front of the pub during busy opening hours.
