We had a stunning room with a great terrace overlooking the lake. The spa is lovely though the sauna was out of order during our visit, however we were gifted with one free access to the spa once I had raised this point upon checking out, which we appreciated. The decoration in the hotel is also lovely, and the food in the restaurant was really tasty.

I don't mind per se, but to improve business I would point out that: 1) when I called to book the restaurant and spa the man at reception was rather blunt (no welcoming skills), though he was more pleasant when we checked in - so this could put people off. 2) also, the lady at reception upon checking out was also very blunt and did not give any smile, nor did she ask us how we enjoyed our stay, nor did she ask how we enjoyed the restaurant or anything, even when I informed that we had stayed with them previously etc.. So although the hotel is really lovely the hospitality/people skills could do with being better to match the lovely decorations and setting. (except the waitress for the evening meal who did have a smile for us and was friendly)

best hotel bed I have ever slept in, spa facilites excellent as well as wellness treatments, food was excellent as well

Very nice spa and services, high quality produce used for breakfast, and spacious modern rooms with very comfortable beds. The spicy pic over the bed was a nice touch.

The front desk guy who checked us in might be the most arrogant and rude person I have ever experienced at a hotel front desk. The thing he seemed to care about most was telling us breakfast was not included because we used Booking.com instead of booking direct.

Lovely spa and super massages thanks to a great masseuse. Generous-sized breakfast.

Not a 4-star room : Small, uncomfortable bed (no mattress topper which is pretty standard these days), mini-fridge did not work and no water, tea or coffee facilities in the room. Dangerous handrail into spa pool. Understaffed : Masseuse was also the receptionist and also the breakfast server hence Reception door was locked at arrival because she was giving a treatment in the spa! We had to phone and wait nearly 15 minutes outside. Noise / false advertising: I was informed the restaurant was being refurbished when I tried to book it prior to our stay, but was offered their restaurant “Au Cheval Blanc” 5 minutes away being informed it would open exceptionally on the date I requested seeing as the hotel restaurant was not available. On arrival we were told that both restaurants were closed, as though my prior conversation could not have taken place. Also, the restaurant on the premises was not being refurbished but - just below our room - was being completely rebuilt so there was constant noise and workmen appearing on the roof next to the bedroom window so had to close the curtain meaning no lake view!

It is ridiculess to sell a poor room like this on wellness-level for 260 €. We even didn‘ t spend the night so disappointing it was. Also we asked for partial money back. No reaction. Awful, really….
