We arrived a little early, but were still greeted in person and was made to feel welcome. The first-floor common area was a good place to visit with our friends. It was lovely with so many interesting things to look at, very well taken care of and so very clean. A refrigerator was made available to us for medications which was helpful. Breakfast was not hot, but there were so many varied options and a microwave to heat a choice of frozen breakfast sandwiches, oatmeal, etc. We were able to park in one of the 3 parking spots along the side of the property. The Inn was full, but all the guests were very quiet. Our room had separate room with a large whirlpool tub which was most relaxing.

They made it work for us, but having to walk up to the third floor was not ideal.

I didn’t get to try the breakfast unfortunately. I slept too late. The shower was refreshing. The bed was quite firm, my husband likes a firm bed. Lovely lobby and front porch. I really liked the very easy check in and front entrance and instructions. I had a secret desire for an English breakfast but I know that is not very practical. Loved the robes provided, esp since the bathroom was across the hall.

Next time I wouldn’t mind booking a room with a small desk or en suite bathroom.

Cathy was super helpful. Loved the charm, character and cleanliness of the spaces. It had all the convenience of a hotel with the warmth of a private home. Breakfast was excellent - healthy options, fast options, and flexibility for our early departure that last day.

Just a note for people with mobility issues... the shower was in a converted old fashioned bathtub, which would be less comfortable for someone with mobility issues.

I love the old Victorian home. It was really neat to be there. Coffee and snacks were really nice. The room is really lovely.

It was a little bit strange coming into a place with no staff really evident. But that's okay overall. Bathroom was okay but that's because we're younger. If I were older I think it would be difficult to use the shower/ bathtub.

It is a lovely old house. It is located on a quiet street, but within a few blocks of a business district. That meant that walking to dinner was easy and pleasant. The room was smallish, but the comfortable sitting area made it pleasant. While the bath was across the hall, that did not prove a problem.

While there were many options for the 'continental' breakfast, everything was pre-packaged. So much waste. The third floor location of the room was a challenge, but we knew to expect it, so not really a problem.

Beautiful property. It really takes you back in time!

Our bed in the Champaign room was extremely soft….too soft for us and our older backs, but some might find it comfortable.

The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, the hotel is furnished with great attention to detail, and the snack bar and breakfast are really convenient.

The breakfast is all prepackaged items, microwavable. As advertised.

Rooms are on the second floor and third floor. There are 32 steps to the third floor...

The location was walking distance to the downtown area where there were numerous restaurants to choose from. It was also just a short drive to campus. The breakfast provided a large variety of items and was well stocked. It was nice to have snacks available all during the day as well.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

It was nice that we could pick what we wanted and there was ample selection. We wanted to hit the road early so did not want a full breakfast.

If we were staying longer, we might have liked having a freshly made breakfast.
