A beautiful old pub, in a wonderful location with views of Corfe Castle, RSPB Arne and beyond. The welcome from the young lady who showed us to our room and the attention from the restaurant and bar staff was excellent. The bed was very comfortable with really good quality bed linen. Breakfast in the morning was all cooked to order and really delicious.
There was nothing I didn't like. The bathroom could maybe be improved but the shower worked well which is always a bonus. We got the last space in the car park which is very small but we arrived much later than the 3pm check in.

The location of this pub and the views out over towards Corfe Castle are amazing. The staff are absolutely brilliant, very friendly and helpful.
The room, particularly the bathroom, are in need of some updating. Our toilet seat was not fully secure but still usable. The grout around the shower area either needs a good clean or replacing. The food is very good, however, something needs to be done about stock levels. Our first night, there were virtually no desserts left. On our last night, we had to get orders in quick as things were disappearing from the menu before we could order.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Scott Arms. It's a rambling, old, characterful country inn with welcoming staff/hosts, comfortable and characterful rooms and good, straight-forward, pub food - exactly what we were hoping for. Inside are several attractive different bar rooms, set at different levels and, when we stayed, with open fires. The setting is outstanding, in a quiet village, with expansive views from the pub garden towards Corfe Castle and easy access to the Dorset Coast - all without the overwhelming tourist numbers which can impact on Corfe Castle itself and other well known spots.

Room was small but bed very comfortable; I wanted to take the pillows home with me! The views from the bar and the garden are what you dream of. Stunning.
The big let down was the food. Very limited menu and badly executed. Given the location, it surely is not hard to imagine that there might be a leaning towards seafood? There is an opportunity here to create a simple but brilliant menu show casing local produce/seafood. It is not difficult to do. Just needs some inspiration and a good chef! Breakfast was included and delicious - a full english made with local ingredients. Dinner was very nice, although menu was a little limited, but the food itself was very nice. Good selection of beer, wines and cider in the bar. The bar staff were all very helpful. The pub/B&B itself was extremely quaint, lots of Higgledy-piggledy rooms but all in keeping with what you'd expect of a place with such history.
Maybe not full in keeping with the rooms, but a bigger TV would be nice as the one we had was tiny !

The location with views of Corfe Castle is wonderful. We have stayed here before and were rather disappointed by the early evening bar closure but this has now changed and we were able to drink outside enjoying the evening until after 10.30pm. The new manager should be especially commended for looking after his customers - he is extremely polite and attentive - excellent in every respect.
The mattress on our bed was very soft for someone with back problems. Otherwise all was excellent.

Great location with excellent views. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and helpful at all times. The free packed lunch was an unexpected bonus.
Breakfast was very good, but choices for evening meals were more limited than shown online and on the (presumably sample) menu in the room. Perhaps this was because our visit was out of season. The building is old and full of character, but a leak near to our bedroom unfortunately reminded me of home and a problem that I wanted to get away from.

This Inn /pub turned out to be an absolute gem. We stayed for three nights and there was free parking in their own car park. The room was very comfortable, clean and had every thing one would need. Breakfast was excellent and served in a room that had a stunning view of Corfe Castle across the valley. We chose to eat in the restaurant every night and enjoyed good quality 'pub' food in front of a warm open log fire. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A perfect location for exploring on of Dorset's stunning countryside and coast line.
This place could get very busy in the high season.

The location is stunning with breathtaking views. It’s a lovely old building but showing it’s age - in our room the windows either didn’t open or didn’t shut! However our generous accommodation (bedroom and sitting room) was warm, clean and comfortable. Plenty of parking. Breakfast, although limited in choice, was very good. Staff welcoming and cheery. Great stopover if you’re walking SW coast path.
The smell of the septic tank as you enter via the garden!

We stayed for 3 nights. The family who are front of house were so lovely and friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits in the room and bottles of water. The breakfast was excellent. A good idea to stay somewhere where you can get a meal in the evening too. It was warm and cosy throughout. Of course the view was spectacular and there were brilliant walks and places to visit.
