Free car parking on site. Comfy beds. Complimentary milk, coffee, tea, biscuits. Stylish decor in communal areas and close to the shopping/cafe areas and the beach front in Swanage.
No breakfast available. The Limes felt a bit 'corporate' to me. Nobody on site when we arrived to greet us, answer any questions face to face. I had to ask a fellow guest, who I 'happened' to run into, where the car park was and how to access it. A text was sent to inform me how to collect my room key from a coded box. It's probably a personal thing, but I prefer a more homely B&B.

The Limes is in a great location; close to all amenities in the centre of the town, and to the South West coastal path. My stay represented very good value for money. It's a no frills guesthouse with no breakfast available, but I knew that, of course . It's clean & comfortable, and I would have no hesitation in returning there one day.
The bathroom/shower room, which was for my personal use only, was clean, & the shower was effective, but I thought the shower cubicle and tiling could do with an update, as could the rusting bathroom radiator.

The Limes is in the perfect location just a few minutes walk from everything in town and also very close to Durlston country park. It's perched on a hill with a beautiful view of the sea. The whole booking was so efficient with self check-in and out but with the owners very contactable if you needed them. It's a beautiful old Victorian building which was spotless and peaceful. The bed was very comfy and the access to fresh milk was a rare and lovely touch. The owner Sarah very kindly let us keep our car in the car park after check-out while we had brunch.
The pressure in the shower was low but adequate and we expect that in an old building. A bit of constructive criticism would be that the kerb into the car park is pretty high and our old car struggled a bit to get over it so maybe it could be lowered a little bit.

The room was comfortable, quiet and very clean. The shower room was also very clean and not far from the bedroom. There was the option to restock on any tea or coffee and the option to have fresh milk. The property was also only a stone’s throw from the front and so it was easy to go in and out of town. Sarah, who owns the property, was lovely and made the whole experience very easy!
There was nothing I didn’t like but the property is on a steep hill so the short walk to and from the front may be less accessible for some people.

Location is excellent. Staff very helpful. Rooms are good, and beds comfortable. The tea and coffee facilities were good, with the ability to get more fresh milk/tea/coffee and toilets rolls whenever needed., without having to find staff. Good system in place for all that. We also had great help parking our cars in the private car park which meant we didn’t have to touch them for the week!
Could have done with some shelving in the shower, and also more shelving and hooks in the bathroom.

It was really nicely decorated to feel welcoming and calm. The view from the conservatory was beautiful. It was not far from the town shops and restaurants etc but very peaceful. It was also close to open green space. It was also quiet inside and the self check in/ check out worked well and it was good to have facilities to make hot drinks in the room, so it felt very un-bothered but with a good system for getting new supplies or assistance when needed. Parking at the property was also very useful. It was an ideal place to stay to explore local nature reserves and exceptional countryside.
The bathroom was rather cold, but the bedroom was rather hot. I found the duvet very hot (I would have been glad of it in about a month) but it would be nice to have a top sheet for a cooler alternative.

Host was very accommodating. Lovely breakfast. Great location, although walk back up the hill quite steep.

Good spacious clean room with one double and single bed, en-suite and sea view. Good location with limited parking although situated halfway up a fairly steep hill.
No breakfast just a kettle and tea coffee in room. Fresh milk was provided however kept in small fridge bottom of stairs. Our room was on the top floor up 3 fights stairs so if you have mobility issues it could be an issue as the property doesn’t have a lift.

Great location and you could tell the property was really looked after and cared for by the owners. Clean and very attentive owners!
The shower was the tiniest shower I’ve ever been in - hard to help a child in and out of as could only turn it on with door shut. Family room is right at the top of the property so with young kids and luggage quite a challenge. Only minor points and these didn’t take away from the stay!

Sadly, there wasn’t an option for breakfast but the owner, Sarah, did recommend a place in town to try Sarah was very accommodating and has a great fridge downstairs with little bottles of milk for guests to take to their rooms where there is tea and coffee available Sarah was also happy to go the extra mile when I discovered upon getting home I had left my hot water bottle in the room, she kindly posted this to me free of charge which I was most grateful for.
It was all good
